Brendan Fehr has been tapped to play the lead in indie romantic comedy "Roswell FM" opposite Mirelly Taylor.

Pic begins shooting July 25 in Roswell, N.M. Alan Trever is producing with Jim Spence and Mark Medoff exec producing.

It's not the first time Fehr has played a role in a production based on the town of Roswell, as he portrayed Michael Guerin on the WB television series "Roswell" from 1999 to 2002.

"Roswell FM" is a lighthearted story about Fehr's character deciding between his dream job hosting a quirky, UFO-themed talk show in Roswell, and the financial needs of his family. He is surrounded by a group of eccentric characters at the radio station, including the object of his affections, played by Taylor.

Fehr's had recurring roles in "Bones" and "CSI: Miami" and was last seen in "X-Men: First Class."

That is exciting! Is this a TV movie or a motion picture???

When they say its an "indie romantic comedy" I assume its an independent motion picture. Usually a tv movie has backing before its made.

Couldn't find much new news but did find this ....

Great find Penny ! Just look at all that stuff about Roswell floating around on You Tube ! Amazing ! I'm convinced that there isn't anything involving human history that isn't on You Tube . :lol:

It's interesting that they want to, or have to, film this new indie production actually in Roswell. They probably need authentic backgrounds and can't afford to build the sets at Albq. Studios which would otherwise have all the production equipment they need for rent. Most production companies use those facilities because they don't have to haul their equipment from CA. Except for In Plain Sight which built their own indoor sets up here on this side of town. And of course they shoot a lot of outdoor scenes downtown. That restaurant balcony overlooking Central Ave. where Brandi was sitting in one scene in the last ep, caused me to wonder where the heck that was. I'd never heard of any 2nd story restaurant balcony along Central.....but it turns out there is one. A converted TB hospital that has been remodeled into a nice hotel.....they had a segment on NM Style the very next day, featuring it.
