What Kubicek says about last night's show is true but the Have Not comp. was amusing. You could see on their faces how gross those mixtures were, and of course Jordan throwing up on national TV isn't something you see every day. Of course that was Friday and by Sunday Rachel had decided that she needed to do her apologies which added hilariously poignant moments to an otherwise slow Sunday. But some of the women on the forums found it almost too disturbing to watch. scratch

This afternoon will be the POV ceremony (show on Wednesday on CBS) so all the women are putting on their makeup, or are in the pre-makeup phase of getting ready which is entertaining in itself. two thumbs up Later this afternoon we will know the results of the POV. Speculation runs high as to who Kalia will nominate to replace Jeff when he takes himself off the block. Most money is on Porsche with Adam as next most likely. With either of those two it will still be Rachel going home. But Lawon has thrown a curve ball by claiming that he would be willing to volunteer to be the replacement. This morning on the "Juicy with Jordan" (a fan and analyst named Jordan on skype) Missy and he had a good laugh at this because it's a dumb move and if he did it he would be the one going home because as an ineffectual floater the others would just take the "silver platter" opportunity to boot him rather than making a special effort later.

They were also laughing at Rachel's nightly routine at 11:11 pm where she faces a camera and does a "talk to Brendon" routine, telling him how she's doing, how she misses him, etc. What she doesn't know of course is that Brendon is in sequestration along with the other 3 that have been booted, and is cut off from all outside information, because he is one of the potential "vote back in " candidates. Of course that vote by the fans is coming down to Dominic and Cassie, so Brendon will never see these heart rending episodes.... tongue

'Big Brother 13' Recap: Queen Kalia vs. Big Bully Jeff
Sunday, August 07, 2011

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

Sometimes Big Brother 13 episodes are nothing but filler, and that's the case this week. When special segments focus on Adam taking off his elf costume or Shelly playing a joke on Kalia in the hammock, you know the producers didn't have enough good footage to fill a whole hour. But we do get a disgusting competition and the return of Big Jeff the Bully.

The Pity Party is Not Over?

After Brendon leaves, Rachel cries. And cries. And then cries some more. There's really nothing more to say about how pathetic and miserable she is. Then she claims to be over it and she's going to compete, but that's just a lie. Also, almost immediately after Porsche gave Rachel's boyfriend a pity vote to keep him in the house, Rachel, Jeff and Jordan turn on her because, in the HoH competition, she put up Jeff and Shelly instead of Kalia. Yes, one pressure-filled moment is all it takes to go from Rachel's BFF to her second biggest enemy.

The Misunderstood Twist

On Thursday, Julie Chen said whoever gets evicted this week will have a chance to come back into the game. In the world of Rachel, Jeff and Jordan, that means the person will definitely, 100 percent be coming back. There are no words to express how wrong and how conceited their statements are.

The Have or Have-Not Competition

The incredibly disgusting Have or Have-Not competition involves drinking milkshakes made of three disturbing ingredients and trying to guess what they are. If there's one thing more disgusting than the drinks, it's when Jeff tries to cheat by telling Shelly what to guess, which seems like it should be against the rules. Shelly doesn't go along with him which, like Porsche's earlier mistake, makes the veterans turn against one of their most trusted allies.

Here are the six delectable beverages:

-Gorgonzola Cheese, Scrambled Eggs and Applesauce
-Corned Beef Hash, Creamed Corn and Potato Chips
-Beets, Dill Pickles and Jalapenos
-Carrots, Canned Yams and Onions
-Sauerkraut, Horseradish and Applesauce
--Spray Cheese, Liverwurst and Creamed Corn

While not very dessert-like, for me, the corned beef hash, creamed corn and potato chips seems like the least offensive, while gorgonzola, scrambled eggs and applesauce has to be the worst combination.

Jeff, Jordan, Rachel and Shelly are the losers and become Have-Nots for this week, which means they also get to eat catfish and coconuts. Everybody loves it, except Jordan, who hates fish and doesn't know if coconuts are edible.

The Anti-Floater Bandwagon

Jordan resents Porsche and Lawon for not doing anything and floating by all season. She also, wrongly, claims she and Jeff have been targets every week. She was HoH once, Rachel was HoH twice (where a plan to backdoor Jeff failed) and last week, Brenchel were the targets. So no, Jordan and Jeff haven't been the targets every week. In fact, they've never been the targets. And if she's really worried about floaters, look out for Shelly, who has now made tacit final three deals with Kalia and Daniele, AND Jeff and Jordan. That cagey older lady is definitely playing all sides and floating between both major alliances.

The Nominees

Kalia tells Jeff that she wants to nominate him against Rachel to ensure that he plays to win in the veto and keeps it away from Rachel. But Jordan and Jeff don't like that idea at all and get angry and mad, throwing it in Kalia's face that whoever gets evicted is coming back (which, again, is not as much of a guarantee as the veterans claim it is). Jeff gets incredibly ugly, vowing that if he goes, he's 100 percent coming back (not true) and Kalia will be his number one target (which she knows she already was). I hated Jeff two weeks ago for being a bully, but liked him last week for dialing it back. But now, he's just being a big bully again, trying to strong-arm Kalia into not nominating him.

It doesn't work, and Kalia nominates Jeff and Rachel anyway, thus destroying any hope she has of getting back in Jeff and Jordan's good graces, but also proving she won't back down and doesn't respond to threats.

The nomination ceremony itself is full of drama as Rachel virtually sits right on top of Daniele to annoy her like a child. When Jordan gets her key, she says she should be nominated since Jeff is going to win the veto and Jordan will be the replacement nominee (which she wouldn't be). Rachel then laughs during Kalia's speech and follows that by following Daniele around afterwards and annoying her. Ugh, these veterans are behaving like spoiled children.

So the POV ceremony is over and Kalia nominated Lawon as the replacement for Jeff ! This has thrown the house into turmoil, sort of, because Lawon is acting furious for being nominated even after having volunteered for it last night. The others think it's an act, as do many fans, and Lawon keeps asking, "Did any of you know she was going to do this ? Have you ever heard her say it ? I feel like I've had sex without a condom !"........ roflmao

So now we/they think that it will be Lawon being booted on Thursday with Rachel staying, causing yet more drama down the line. But what none of them have yet figured out is that the bootee will have to compete with America's Choice to come back. Lawon as a weak competitor has little chance of winning regardless of America's choice if it is Dom or even Cassie (maybe slightly better against the latter). Some fans think that Brendon will be the choice because it would cause the most turmoil and drama and that the producers want him for that reason, and would try to rig the vote somehow. Whatever, it looks like we won't be hearing from Lawon again after Thursday.

'Big Brother 13' Spoilers: Was the Power of Veto Used in Week 5?
Monday, August 08, 2011

Senior Writer, BuddyTV

Winning HoH says a lot about how you play the Big Brother game. Sure, you can make alliances and deals until the moon cows come home, but once you have to make the real decisions, the pressure is on. With Big Brother 13, Kalia's reign as HoH has shown what kind of player she is, and it's one filled with self doubt and misguided trust in others.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 13 spoilers.

Jeff won the Power of Veto and saved himself.

Lawon was nominated.

"WHAT?!?", you're probably asking. Wasn't Lawon a part of Kalia's alliance with Daniele? Yes, and he still is, but after an unfortunate series of events, and with Lawon offering himself as a replacement nominee, Kalia is making the biggest mistake of the season. The whole thing makes me sick to my stomach and, if it weren't my job, I might consider quitting this season since it seems Jeff, Jordan and Rachel are going to skate into the finale.

Here's how it went down after the PoV competition. First, Adam was going to be the replacement nominee because he was the safest bet to ensure that Rachel gets evicted. Then Shelly concocted an evil plan to trick Kalia and Daniele into siding with her only to use that influence to talk them into nominating Porsche so Shelly and Adam could secretly keep Rachel and screw over Kalia and Daniele.

But then, after that plan seemed to work, Kalia and Daniel second-guessed themselves again and settled on the fact that Lawon could go up, get evicted, and come back via the unknown twist this week, which will presumably make Jeff and Jordan like them again.

It's a fool's decision, because they think they can trust Shelly and that Jeff and Jordan will honor their word to get out floaters, but in reality, nearly everyone else has agreed that Kalia and Daniele are still the prime targets next week, no matter what. So basically, Shelly just convinced Kalia and Daniele to aide in their own demises.

No matter what, it all can be traced back to Shelly. The allegedly honest straight-shooter has proven time and time again that she's the most manipulative and deceitful person in the Big Brother 13 house. (truer words were never spoken. It is interesting to see how she can be so manipulative without the slightest hint of a conscience. But then it is a game..) She voted to evict Keith and happily let all the newbies think she was still with them, then she sold out Dominic to Jordan. Now her latest plan of evil manipulation involved convincing Kalia and Daniele that she wants a final three deal with them (as opposed to the final three deal she has with almost everyone else in the house).

The sad part is that Kalia and Daniele genuinely think this will keep them safe with the veterans, but it won't. They are being played big-time. When the dust settles, Jeff, Jordan, Rachel, Shelly and Adam are going to be in charge, and Kalia and Daniele will have no one but themselves to blame.

There's also the matter of the twist, which could be even worse. Imagine this scenario: Lawon gets voted out, Brendon wins America's Vote and beats him, then Brendon returns to the game. If that happens, it's like the last two weeks didn't happen at all. On the flip side, if it's Dominic, he could easily beat Lawon and come back, hopefully to reunite with Kalia and Daniele as part of the resistance, though I'm not sure he'd be eager to work with Daniele again.

So now Lawon is up and, because of the paranoia of the twist and Shelly's manipulations, he's going to get evicted and Rachel will stay. The worst part is that Lawon is acting like he's angry, but everyone else in the house knows this is an act because Shelly spilled the beans. Last week I fell in love with Daniele and Kalia's alliance, but they just totally screwed themselves and I can't stand seeing my favorite HGs get played so effectively.

I'm not so sure that they have been played "so effectively". There are still 5-6 HOH's and POVs to be played and the winners of those still have the power.
