Frankly I don't shed any tears over Sheen and his addictions but I do feel bad for Jennifer Taylor who plays his fiancee Chelsea. She comes across as a very classy lady in the interviews I've seen her on. She has to put up with a lot from the scripts too, ranging from "boob size" to "getting sick" and dealing with Charlie's past bimbos. She's married with two little boys. Her husband looks like he could be an actor but I don't know his name or if he is..

CBS Shuts Down ‘Two and a Half Men,’ Sheen in Rehab

by Tracy Phillips
Feb 23rd, 2010 | 4:39 PM | Comments 15

CBS has “temporarily suspended” production of the Charlie Sheen sitcom ‘Two and a Half Men‘ after it was announced Tuesday that the actor has admitted himself into a rehab facility.
The network issued a statement regarding the impact on the show:
“CBS, Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre support Charlie Sheen
in his decision today to begin voluntary in-patient care at a treatment
center. We wish him nothing but the best as he deals with this personal
matter. Production on ‘Two and a Half Men’ will be temporarily
suspended.”
Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield announced earlier in the day that the actor had checked into rehab for an undisclosed issue.
“As a preventative measure, Charlie Sheen has entered a
rehabilitation facility. He will take some time off his series ‘Two and
a Half Men.’ He has asked that his privacy be honored,” says the
statement.

Sheen has reportedly told the show’s producers that he will be back in two weeks, according to TMZ, at which time he plans to transition to an outpatient program.
A source tells Fancast that ‘Men,’ which was scheduled to return
with a new episode on March 1, has only three episodes in the can and
six more to film.
Tabloids reported recently that Sheen was reluctant to go to rehab after allegedly relapsing into his boozin’ bad-boy ways.
Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller, 32, also entered rehab earlier this
month, allegedly for an addiction to crack, and was forced to change
facilities on Sunday night after “a major breach of confidentiality.”
“She is still in Los Angeles where she can be close to her twin sons,” her lawyer Yale Galanter tells People. “She is doing very well and will continue her healing process.”
The couple’s twins Max and Bob are reportedly being cared for by nannies, while Child Services was seen visiting the Sheen home over the weekend for a “routine visit.”
It’s been a stressful two months for the estranged couple, whose troubles were launched into the spotlight after Sheen was arrested for domestic violence on Christmas Day after threatening his wife with a knife.
Sheen and Mueller married in May 2008 and had twin sons, Max and Bob, in March 2009.
This is the 44-year-old actor’s third trip to rehab. Charlie’s
father actor Martin Sheen turned in his son for parole violation in
1998 after a cocaine overdose, which first landed him in rehab. Sheen
also did a stint in rehab in 1990 after his dad staged an intervention.

I'm telling you, if they get rid of Jennifer Taylor count me out right now. She was still on last night's ep but you never know what they have up their sleeve. If they write her in as finally getting married to Charlie, how could any self-respecting woman put up with his antics....Jeez....last night with Trisha Helfer, Chelsea's friend....c'mon..... 2 1/2 Men Icon_rolleyes

Sheen’s Rehab Stint Results in Less ‘Two and a Half Men’

by Matt Webb Mitovich
Mar 23rd, 2010 | 2:43 PM | Comments 1

TV’s most watched comedy will be eight percent less funny this season, now that CBS’ ‘Two and a Half Men‘ has cut its episode count by two, to 22.
The snipped season length was dictated by series lead Charlie Sheen’s recent three-week rehab stay and the show’s corresponding halt in production, ‘Men’ creator Chuck Lorre tells the New York Times. The sitcom resumed production on March 16, when Sheen returned to the set.
Lorre is quick to note that “22 [episodes] is a full order. They had
asked us to produce two additional episodes, which we normally do. But
we won’t do it this year.”

Charlie Sheen Back at Work on ‘Two and a Half Men’
Regardless of ‘Men’s shortened season, playboy Charlie Harper’s
dance card promises to remain as full as ever. As exclusively reported
by Fancast, both Emmanuelle Vaugier and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe (’Prison Break’) are set to reprise their roles (as Charlie’s exes, Mia and Isabella) later this season.

Tonight.Charlie Sheen has signed on to continue his role on CBS' hit

tells ET2 1/2 Men 2_bing_11pxw,
"To put a fitting end on the two and one-half months of whirlwind

This is good. It means that Chelsea (Jennifer Taylor) will have to come back if they want to wrap up that story arc....but I still can't see them getting married.... 2 1/2 Men 66732

I haven't been watching the new season because the trailers don't look interesting and Jennifer Taylor isn't back... Sad

But Angus seems to be doing well and so far seems to have his head on straight drug-wise. But you always worry when they turn 18 and are free to do what they want... 2 1/2 Men 21944

‘Two and a Half Men’ Kid Scores Mega Deal

by Tracy Phillips
Oct 8th, 2010 | 9:15 AM | Comments 53

D’Oh!The hilarious ‘Half’ pint from ‘Two and a Half Men‘ is rolling in dough. He was already the richest kid on TV, and now 17-year-old Angus T. Jones will get paid more than many adults in prime-time, according to TMZ.Jones signed a new contract in May with CBS that will pay him $300,000 per episode, plus a $500,000 signing bonus. That’s a total of $7.8 million over two years. But the deal is for a minimum of 26 episodes, and CBS has already guaranteed the series two more seasons, so Jones could potentially make that salary for 48 episodes, earning the teen a whopping $14.4 million. It’s a $50,000 per episode raise for the actor, who previously was pulling $250,000 a show.Leading ‘Man’ Charlie Sheen inked a new deal this year as well, worth $2 million an episode, for earnings of $52 million over two seasons. Costar Jon Cryer is rumored to make some where in the neighborhood of $20 million. The List: TV’s Highest-Paid Kid ActorsBy comparison: 11-year-old Rico Rodriguez, who costars on the Emmy-winning comedy ‘Modern Family,’ makes $15,000 per show. Miranda Cosgrove, 16, of the Nickelodeon hit ‘iCarly,’ rakes in $180,000 per episode. And Miley Cyrus reportedly makes just $15,000 an episode on ‘Hannah Montana’–but that does not factor in the millions she makes from her movie and singing career.

Except for the $155 mill. tongue

Funny Is Money, Or: Why Charlie Sheen’s Bosses Don’t Kick Him To The Curb

by Matt Webb Mitovich
Oct 26th, 2010 | 7:11 PM | Comments 5
Mel Gibson can’t even hold onto a cameo in a sure-to-be-mediocre ‘Hangover’ sequel, yet Charlie Sheen – now under psychiatric care after being found seemingly intoxicated in a NYC hotel room – continues to be employed as one of TV’s highest paid stars.
Charlie Sheen In Psych Care After Being Found Drunk In Hotel RoomYou may be asking: How does that work, exactly? How does Sheen continue to be rolling in the green no matter how many public embarrassments he suffers while under the employ of CBS and Warner Bros. TV?Forbes editor Lacey Rose perhaps sums it up best by calling the ‘Two And A Half Men‘ headliner a “one-man profit center.”“Sheen didn’t make $30 million last year… because his bosses think he’s a good, reliable guy,” Rose writes. “What matters is ‘Two and a Half Men,’ the show he has carried for eight seasons, is the most-watched comedy in prime-time.” Commanding the second-highest ad rate of any comedy ($207,000 per 30-second spot), CBS’ ‘Men’ generated $155.1 million in ad revenue last season.
Are TV Stars Overpaid? What Should They Be Earning? An industry source echoes that sentiment, telling Fancast, “Charlie is the linchpin of an incredibly lucrative series,” and that’s why off-camera antics come with little professional consequence, at least as a star of ‘Two And A Half Men.’ “But would he be cast in something new at this point?” asks our source. “Likely not.”
Charlie Sheen Pleads Guilty to Assaulting WifeSheen also has been the beneficiary of “good” timing for his bad boy behavior. For example, his arraignment last February for felony charges stemming from a Christmastime domestic dispute with then-wife Brooke Mueller arrived in the shadow of Michael Jackson’s doctor, Conrad Murray, being charged with manslaughter. As a result, Sheen’s shameful situation didn’t get a fraction of the traction it rightfully deserved.“If Charlie Sheen’s arraignment hadn’t happened within 15 minutes of Conrad Murray’s arraignment, the media would have covered [it] like crazy,” TMZ boss Harvey Levin told The Daily Beast at the time. And as for any Mel Gibson comparisons, PMK-BNC crisis management specialist Ross Johnson told the Beast that Sheen has “always apologized for his behavior” and “is always honest with his people.” Versus, say, Tiger Woods, “Charlie’s image has always been, ‘Hey, I ain’t perfect. I never pretended to be a role model.’”
Charlie Sheen Inks Deal To Stay On ‘Two and a Half Men’So, as long as Charlie continues being Charlie, and because of the boffo ad bucks that ‘Men’ hauls in, you can expect CBS and WBTV to hold firm with their “No comment” stances and instead let Sheen’s rep do any talking/apologizing. That is, Forbes reckons, until “the show’s ratings take a nose dive or… Sheen’s notorious behavior land him in jail for an extended period forcing production to be shut down

UPDATE 11:20AM: Charlie Sheen has just arrived on the set of Two and a Half Men.2 1/2 Men Charlie-Sheen-190x300
PREVIOUS: As Warner Bros TV and CBS nervously await to see if Two and a Half Men
star Charlie Sheen will show up for work today after his weekend binge
in Las Vegas (he is due at the studio later this morning), WBTV, the
network, as well as the producers of the hit CBS comedy continue to
search for ways to get Sheen help. I hear Sheen, described as a
functioning addict, returned to work from holiday hiatus last week
visibly slimmer (some estimate he may have lost as much as 25 lb.) His
drastically changed appearance led to WBTV and CBS ramping up their
efforts to shut down production on the show in the short term so Sheen
can get clean.
But that didn't fly with Sheen who has consistently refused to go to
rehab. I hear he has retained lead litigator Marty Singer and has
threatened to sue Warner Bros TV and CBS if they shut down production on
the show without cause. And, with him refusing to see a doctor, the
studio and the network would have to stop production with no legal
reason. Additionally, if he refuses to enter rehab, staying at home
instead of working would probably do more harm than good - Sheen seems
to mostly get in trouble when he is off work, including his domestic
violence arrest in December 2009 and his New York hospitalization this
past November after a hotel room rampage.
WBTV, which signed Sheen in a new 2-year deal in May, as well as CBS
have tried to help Sheen in different ways -- I hear upon request from
CBS Corp. CEO Leslie Moonves, Sheen took in a sober living partner after
the New York hotel incident. But that coach is no longer with him.
Things came to a head last week when WBTV and CBS executives, concerned
about Sheen's well-being after the extreme weight loss, were in constant
communication with Sheen and his team about shutting down production on
the show. I hear there was even a statement to that effect prepared by
CBS and WBTV on Friday. But, with resistance from Sheen, the statement
about the production shutdown was never released.
Sheen was also slated to attend a high-level powwow with network and
studio executives after the Friday taping of the show, but he reportedly
bolted out right away, skipping the meeting. Another sit-down with him
was scheduled for this week.
Then came the disturbing TMZ item yesterday that Sheen was seen
hammering vodka at a Las Vegas hotel where he had been spending time in
the company of porn actresses this past weekend. Which leads us to this
morning. Sheen has not missed his call time yet and may very well show
up for work as he normally does. But the people on the show who have
worked with him for 7 years and care about him fear they may be running
out of time to help the comedy star before it's too late.

Charlie Sheen Rushed to Hospital

By Audrey Morrison
Thu, 27 Jan 2011 20:49:32 GMT

2 1/2 Men Sheen-bigWe almost made it through a week without any Charlie Sheen drama, but just hours after his “Two and a Half Men” co-star Jon Cryer spoke to Conan O’Brien, news came from TMZ
that Sheen was wheeled out of his home on a stretcher at 7 a.m. and
taken to Cedar-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles following a 911 call at
6:35 a.m. reporting severe abdominal pains.Neighbors said they
heard women’s voices inside Charlie’s home belting out Red Hot Chili
Peppers songs throughout the night and into the early morning and TMZ
confirms two young women exited the house at the same time Sheen was put
into the ambulance.Sheen’s publicist Stan Rosenfield confirmed he was in the emergency room this morning and that he was sleeping.Charlie’s
parents, Martin Sheen and Janet Templeton, along with his ex-wife
Denise Richards are believed to be at the hospital with him.As
previously mentioned, on Wednesday evening Jon Cryer told Conan how
“weird” and unpredictable Charlie’s life has been recently."It's always a little weird because like the stuff you hear is just unbelievable,” Cryer admitted. “I mean like... I'm checking TMZ, as I do everyday, to know if I have to go to work at all."CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler also expressed her concern for Charlie Sheen a few weeks ago at the TV Critics Association press tour, saying:“We
have a high level of concern. How could we not? This man is a father.
He’s got children. He has a family. So obviously there’s concern on a
personal level. But you can’t look at it simplistically. Charlie is
professional. He comes to work. He does his job extremely well. It’s
very complicated.”There is no doubt that everyone who works with
Sheen now has even more cause to be worried as the story of exactly what
sent him to the hospital is still developing.2 1/2 Men Follow_me-b

I love C. Sheehan. I think his personal life
is chaotic, and I hope he gets help for his own sake and the children's
lives, but he is still #1 in what he does best, acting. He does a
great job. The show should not be cancelled based on his personal life.
He shows up for work everyday and does a great comedy so keep the show
running. If the viewers do not stop watching it, there should be no
reason to cancel show. Maybe he can do many episodes and go into rehab
so when he comes back out he continues the show. I love 2.5 Men. It is
so funny. I look forward to seeing this show every week. And no I
don't even come close to a chaotic life like the one acted on the show
or his own personal life, but the show is great and funny.

Inquisitive Conan Gets Cryer Talking About Co-Star Charlie Sheen

by Adam Buckman
Jan 27th, 2011 | 11:58 AM | Comments 0

Curious Conan O’Brien couldn’t help but ask Jon Cryer what it’s like on the set of “Two and a Half Men” when his hard-partying co-star Charlie Sheen is making headlines for his off-camera hijinks.
And Cryer was happy to talk about it when he appeared as a guest on
Conan’s TBS talk show Wednesday night. “It’s always a little weird
because the stuff you hear is just unbelievable,” Cryer said. He then
launched merrily into a story about the time one of Sheen’s cars was
discovered wrecked at the bottom of a cliff. And yet, Sheen showed up
to work without a scratch on him.

Bad Boy Sheen Brings Big Ratings
“I’m checking TMZ, as I do everyday to know if I have to go to work
at all, and there is . . . a story [that] they found Charlie’s car at
the bottom of a cliff,” Cryer recalled. “So you’re thinking, ‘Wow, I
sure hope Charlie’s OK.’ And he comes into work and it’s like, ‘Hey,
Charlie, how’s it goin’, man?’ and you’re checking for scratches because
my mind had come up with this whole thing like he’d crashed the car and
clawed his way back up the cliff . . . But he said, ‘Well, I’m doin’
OK, except that somebody stole my car and ran it off a cliff last
night.’

“And normally you would not believe that from somebody, but from
Charlie Sheen you believe [it] because that happened to him – twice!”
Cryer exclaimed.
As he usually does, Cryer proved himself to be an engaging,
entertaining talk-show guest, thanks in part to his stories about
Charlie (plus some other tidbits, such as a funny story he told
involving Neil Patrick Harris).
But once again, you have to wonder if some of the people in Charlie
Sheen’s life are letting him off a bit too easily. Sure, Sheen hasn’t
yet been seriously injured in any of his infamous binges, but how funny
will Cryer’s stories be (or anyone else’s stories about Charlie Sheen,
for that matter) if, heaven forbid, Sheen actually harms himself or
someone else as a result of his “lifestyle”? We’re keeping our fingers
crossed that that won’t happen

Yes, I read about it too. Sad It does make you wonder where Sheen will wind up. I'm just hoping we don't hear that he's dead somewhere along the way. That would be very tragic.

Banjo you are in no way being crass. I thought as pertaining to the show the line was really funny. But sometimes reality has a way of punching a whole in funny.

Charlie Sheen managed to sneak past the press and paparazzi when he left an L.A. hospital.

Debauched actor Charlie Sheen, after slipping quietly out of a Los Angeles hospital, will return next Tuesday to the set of his hit television show, his publicist said Friday.
Television's highest-paid star - just days after he was rushed from his $8 million Beverly Hills home on a stretcher - will rejoin shooting of the comedy "Two and a Half Men," said spokesman Stan Rosenfield.
Word of Sheen's plans came along with a RadarOnline.com report that his father, actor Martin Sheen, wants the "Platoon" star back in rehab rather than at work.
"Martin is extremely upset as you can imagine," a source close to the
family told the web site. "He's worried Charlie is going to kill
himself."
Porn star Kacey Jordan, one of five women reportedly partying with Sheen before his hospitalization, told TMZ.com that the actor was guzzling vodka, freebasing cocaine and watching adult movies during his bender.
"When I first saw him, he was just f------ wasted out of his mind,"
she told the web site. "He just had his little green pipe, and he kept
hitting it."
Friends of the hard-partying star snuck him past the press and paparazzi outside Cedars-Sinai Medical Center under cover of the night around 10 p.m. Thursday, the syndicated entertainment program "Extra" said.
"I'm not dying," a source quoted Sheen as saying, according to
"Extra." The actor did not require surgery, the program reported, and
the source insisted drugs were not involved.
But assorted Internet reports said Sheen was hospitalized following
an epic party - a blowout complete with porn stars and the delivery of a
Gucci briefcase filled with cocaine.
The wild scene was an amped-up replay of his fall meltdown at New York's Plaza hotel, a booze-and-blow party that landed the oft-rehabbed Sheen in a Manhattan psychiatric unit.
A Sheen spokesman said "severe abdominal pains" prompted the 911
call, and a pal told "Extra" he aggravated a hiatal hernia by laughing
too hard at the TV.
TMZ.com reported that Sheen, on hiatus this week from the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men," began partying Tuesday.
At one point, a designer briefcase containing "bricks" of cocaine was delivered to the house, the site said.
There were already four women there when he had a friend call porn star Jordan, 22, to join the bash Wednesday afternoon, Radar Online reported.
"It's officially 24 hours of drinking! Hehe," Jordan later posted on her Twitter page, saying she'd consumed two bottles of vodka, a bottle of wine, a pint of whisky, and beer.
She also uploaded a risqué photo of herself in a bikini and boasted her "life has changed."

It's over for Charlie Sheen.

After a day of unhinged and unsolicited comments ripping his show's executive producer Chuck Lorre and assorted enemies -- Alcoholics Anonymous and Thomas Jefferson, among others -- the star finally went further than CBS and Warner Brothers Television could take.

The network and TV production company announced Thursday that they had pulled the plug on television's top-rated comedy, "Two and a Half Men," which was scheduled to restart production on Monday.

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of "Two and a Half Men" for the remainder of the season," the companies said in a joint statement.

A spokesman for Sheen -- not that he appears to be relying on one these days -- had no immediate comment.

Bing: Sheen's advice for Lohan

The show, which airs on Mondays at 9 pm and has been on hiatus since Jan. 28, has shot 16 of 24 episodes this season. The final eight will apparently not be shot.

To replace "Two and a Half Men," CBS has ordered more episodes of "Mike and Molly," another Lorre-produced show, and "Rules of Engagement."

But even with Sheen's public misbehavior, his show has been performing in the ratings, remaining the most-watched comedy on TV.

Needless to say, Sheen does not appear to be following a rehabilitation program that he'd supposedly committed to in the past few weeks.

In his rant on right-wing talk "The Alex Jones Show" on Thursday, Sheen let loose on his boss and erstwhile friend, Chuck Lorre.

More on TheWrap: Sheen Tears Into 'Men' Creator, AA and Thomas Jefferson

"It's nothing this side of deplorable that a certain Chaim Levine, yeah, that's Chuck's real name, mistook this rock star for his own selfish exit strategy, bro," Sheen said. According to IMDb.com, Chuck Lorre was born Charles Michael Levine. "Check it, Alex," Sheen added, "I embarrassed him in front of his children and the world by healing at a pace that his unevolved mind cannot process."

He continued:

"OK, last I checked, Chaim, I've spent, I think, close to the last decade effortlessly and magically converting your tin cans into pure gold, and the gratitude I get is this charlatan chose not to do his job, which is write. Clearly someone who thinks he is above the law. Well, you've been warned, dude. Bring it."

Sheen said he didn't believe in the Bible, which was full of "talking snakes."

And he advised Sunday churchgoers: "(You're) missing a lot of good sports, people."

There were also some additional, confusing references to ninjas.

Later in the day, Sheen contacted TMZ with more of the same bile. "I violently hate Chaim Levine (Chuck Lorre), the site reported Sheen saying. "He's a stupid, stupid little man and a p**sy punk that I'd never want to be like." Sheen added, "That's me being polite."

Sheen had taunted Lorre, CBS and Warner Brothers before, saying that he was ready to go back to work even though he was meant to be taking time off to "recover" from several weekend binges with prostitutes and drugs, one of which landed him in the hospital.

The actor has been in the headlines since late October, when he was found in his suite in the Plaza hotel, naked and ranting with a porn star in the bathroom. His representatives claimed his hospital visit that followed was due to a reaction to medication.

CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told the Television Critics Association on Jan. 14 that she and the network had a "high level of concern" over the actor's antics.

Two other weekend frolics in Las Vegas similarly raised concern with the network and television production company, but at first the corporate parents said they had no recourse if Sheen showed up to work.

That position changed after a final 36-hour bender in late January, when Sheen was finally pressed to go to rehab. Instead, he chose to take "treatment" at home.

I can't even process my thoughts over this. Local radio talked about this all morning. It's so sad. But, he did this to himself. So, I'm no longer a fan. And I hope Jon Cryer and (can't think of the kids' name)move on and get famous. disgruntled

Reminds me of the old commercial "This is your brain (shows eggs in a pan) . Now this is your brain on drugs, kiddies. " (shows Charlie Sheen/ scrambled eggs in a pan) .

It's a sad and stupid situation.

About the only "good" thing to come of this is that it leaves a hole in my Monday viewing sched. where I can go off and do other things and /or watch other shows but not Mike & Molly which is weird, or Rules of Engagement which is boring. 2 1/2 Men 154511

Experts make grim predictions for Sheen's future

By Ree Hines
In the past, it seemed nothing could keep Charlie Sheen down for
long. Despite his long list of booze, drugs and sex-related scandals,
Sheen continued to have an enviable career — until now.Sheen’s recent anger-fueled, rambling rant
to a nationally syndicated radio show, wherein he boasted that he’d “go
make movies with superstars” if he’s not needed or wanted for “Two and a
Half Men,” may finally signal the end of his option to do just that.According to experts who spoke on TODAY Friday morning, the star faces tough times professionally and personally. After
the troubled actor blasted producers during an explosive rant on a
radio show, CBS has canceled production of its hit TV sitcom "Two and a
Half Men."
“That wasn’t a radio
interview. It was really the unraveling of a man,” interventionist and
addiction specialist Kristina Wandzilak said. “It’s a very sad state of
affairs. He’s a man who’s also somebody’s son. You know, there are
parents watching this person pull himself apart. And really the only
thing that’s left for addicts left untreated is death.”But even if Sheen survives his current crisis, his career may remain in jeopardy.“I
think he was almost asking them to put on the brakes,” Bonnie Fuller,
editor-in-chief of HollywoodLife.com, explained. “He went so far over
the line attacking the creator of the show, the writer of the show —
viciously attacking him and having anti-Semitic overtones. I don’t think
(the network and producers) could have turned a blind eye to this.”Just hours after Sheen’s radio interview, CBS and Warner Bros. Television canceled the remaining “Two and a Half Men” season — an action which earned another rant from Sheen.
Whether or not the show will return at all may come down to whether or
not Sheen can find some way to heal and make his own comeback.“I
think it could be the beginning of the end for him (professionally),
unless he does something pretty serious about his addiction,” Fuller
said. “And certainly his state of mind is not going in that direction
when he says he doesn’t need it, that he’s already cured and he asked
his fans to march in protest. He is delusional. I think his fans are
going to have to look forward to seeing (“Two and a Half Men”) in
syndication, and they’re going to hope that he does get his act together
and have another furthering of his career.”There is one vocal
Sheen supporter who doesn’t agree with the experts. That would be the
actor himself. While others fear his career could be nearing its end,
Sheen claims his biggest TV opportunity still lies ahead.

“I’m close to securing a deal with HBO for a 10 show guarantee,” the actor told Radar Online. “It will be epic, all types of guests and we will focus on the truth and the absurd!”If
that deal sounds too absurd, er, good to be true, just wait for the
financial details of the allegedly upcoming "Sheen's Corner."According
to Sheen, he’ll make $5 million per episode with HBO. That is $3
million per show more than he’s said to bring in under his current “Men”
contract.Update: HBO told TheWrap.com on Friday that there is no deal with Sheen.

I feel badly for the cast and crew and their being out of work!

The role Charlie Sheen played really wasn't much of a stretch for him was it? Was his name even Charlie on the show???

"Was his name even Charlie on the show??? "................yes. The cast won't be so bad off money-wise, Angus T. Jones, the kid, was getting 6 figures per show for example, but the production crew will be the ones hurt the most. Some pundits think that all will be forgiven by the time next season would start shooting and it will resume. Others speculate that they could change the scenario in some way to continue without Sheen, such as bringing in a heretofore unknown "brother". Or my preference.....bring back Jennifer Taylor...although she's probably glad she bailed last season... tongue

UPDATE: The Charlie Sheen Mess: The End of ‘Two and a Half Men’?

by Adam Buckman
Feb 25th, 2011 | 4:57 PM | Comments 0

Is it good-bye, Charlie?
Charlie Sheen continued staging his one-man circus
Friday with another one of his “messages” to the world as the TV
industry wondered whether “Two and a Half Men” will ever return from its “suspension,” or will CBS figure out a way to continue the show without Charlie.
Sheen’s newest missive was reportedly a text message sent to ABC’s “Good Morning America” in which he vowed to actually show up at work as previously scheduled on Tuesday.
But by Friday afternoon, Sheen launched another attack on Pat
O’Brien’s radio show “Loose Cannons” (how appropriate), saying the “Two
and a Half Men” set has been “a toxic environment for eight years.”
Sheen also hinted he may not return for a ninth season, should CBS
choose to do one: “If they want to roll back to season nine, I gave them
my word I would do that but not with the turds that are currently in
place. It’s impossible … it would go bad quickly,” Sheen said.
The “turds” he’s referring to are producers Chuck Lorre and Lee
Aronsohn, who are, according to Sheen, “a couple of AA Nazis and blunt
hypocrites” that are “getting up in my grill, telling me how to live my
personal life.”
“We are at war,” Sheen declared. “Defeat is not an option … They
picked a fight with the wrong guy.” He also warned fans, “It’s about to
get really gnarly.”

CBS Pulls the Plug on “Two and a Half Men” for the Season
His workplace, up until Thursday evening, was the Warner Brothers
studio where they used to produce “Two and a Half Men” before WB and CBS
made the decision jointly to shut down production indefinitely (or at
least for this season) because of Charlie and his antics.
So, why he thinks he should show up at work anyway on Tuesday morning
is anybody’s guess. Probably, perhaps somewhere deep in the recesses
of his addled brain, Charlie believes that if he goes to work – arriving
on time and sober like he says he usually does – then he can’t be
accused of failing to fulfill the terms of his contract.

Sheen’s Disturbing “Open Letter” to His Boss
Well, without access to that contract, we can’t tell what he has
fulfilled or what he has breached, if anything. But it should go
without saying that by now Sheen has breached the general standards of
decency and behavior that most of us live by – such as not attacking
your bosses on radio shows and, more to the point, making derogatory
statements about them, their loved ones and their religion. And, of
course, there’s the safety issue. Embedded in Sheen’s statements over
the last few days are intimations of violence, as when he described his
“violent” hatred of executive producer Chuck Lorre and apparently challenged Lorre to a fistfight.

Sheen Goes on Shocking Radio Rampage

.
So what was CBS supposed to do? What it came down to was this: The
network and WB chose keeping Lorre happy over Sheen. Why? Because
Lorre makes two other sitcoms for them – “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike & Molly.” He’s the moneymaker behind “Two and a Half Men” too, so it was good-bye Charlie.
Now CBS and Lorre face a dilemma: Can they remake “Two and a Half
Men” in advance of its ninth season next fall in such a way that it will
continue as the top-rated comedy on network TV? Or, was the show so
dependent on Sheen that, without him, the series is essentially toast
and should be discontinued before the companies invest millions of
dollars in a lost cause?
With those questions in mind, we present the arguments FOR and AGAINST:
The argument for continuing “Two and a Half Men”: Hey, what about Jon Cryer?
In all the commotion about Charlie Sheen, it is too often assumed that
he somehow carried the whole show. Well, that’s not the case. Cryer’s
great in it, and so is the supporting cast, most notably Holland Taylor
as the mother of the two men. And as Charlie’s rants become more
unglued everyday, support for him among the “Two and a Half Men”
audience base could be eroding, according to a story Friday at The Hollywood Reporter.
And that means some viewers might be amenable to a “Two and a Half
Men” reboot that doesn’t include Sheen. The question for Lorre and his
team is really a creative one: Can they come up with a new scenario for
the show that makes sense for the show and its characters without
seeming like such a bald contrivance that viewers won’t buy it?
The argument for discontinuing “Two and a Half Men”:
See the last sentence of the argument for. This is the crux of the
dilemma. What should they do? Should they cast some new actor, in some
sort of role similar to Charlie’s? Maybe he’s a third brother –
another uncle to Jake (Angus T. Jones) – who we haven’t
met until now. That’s the most logical way to extend the show, but the
question will remain: Will viewers accept it? And here’s an even
riskier scenario: That they simply cast someone new in the same role.
It hasn’t been tried in decades (not since the two Darrins on “Bewitched” and, to a lesser extent, the youngest boy on “The Partridge Family” (and maybe a few other times in TV history).
Still, these scenarios are so difficult to pull off that they may be
left with no choice but to just say bye-bye to the whole thing.

Don't hate me for saying this but if I were in charge, this is exactly what I would do. I would outright fire Charlie Sheen. He's probably broken several contractual obligations at this point, so bye-bye. I'd kill off Charlie on the show (he had a drunken spree and a bad car crash ended his life. I'd start the next episode about a month after the funeral where Alan is interviewing potential roommates to help him pay expenses to keep the townhouse. My first pick for the roommate would be the guy that played Blaise on Life UnExpected. And let him be a college prof taking sabatical to write something. Wink He could become the stable one and help resolve the issues of the loss of a son, a brother and an uncle when it's discovered that Charlie had a drug problem on top of his drinking.
