Danica has also been in other SyFy movies and recently a Christmas movie on Lifetime Chan.

So Apolo had his 7 minutes of screen time and did okay with his dialog even if it did consist mainly of grunts and groans. At the 20 minute mark I could see that this would be yet another Saturday night made for SyFy movie that I wouldn't be able to watch for consecutive minutes. Luckily Saturday night is the big night at the Barret-Jackson auction in Scottsdale so was able to watch it for about 6 or 7 times more minutes than Tasmania. And it was a good night at the auction. 9 cars went for 7 figures lead by the original Batmobile, 1966, that went for $4.2 million. The winning bidder lives in the Scottsdale area and said he will knock down a wall in his house and put it in his living room. This is a good idea, seriously, two thumbs up Hopefully he has a very good home security system. The car had been in George Barris ' possession since he built it in '66 and he thought it was time to put it out for auction. Now he's $4.2 million richer although he probably doesn't need it, being the premier custom car builder of the 20th Century.

The quoted $4.6 million includes the 10% auction fee.

And of course I watched Tasmania from time to time and the last 5 min. It followed the usual formula within the "battle the monsters" genre on SyFy. Secondary characters get killed off on schedule. If there is a helicopter involved it will crash. No ethnic minority will survive as one of the final two, which will be one man, one woman. If the woman is a fairly well known actress she will be the "strong one" and will buck up the wimpish male. If vice versa of course roles will be reversed. At the end they will walk off arm in arm, with sexual tension building. Is that about it ? Rolling Eyes

One thing you can do to keep yourself amused during these SyFy movies is to look up the registration number of any aircraft involved. Their helicopter seems to be using a fictitious reg. number, O-LEAF. Here's all the countries starting with 'O' and there are none with a single letter left of the dash.

OB - Peru
OD - Lebanon
OE - Austria
OH - Finland
OK - Czech Republic
OM - Slovakia
OO - Belgium
OY - Denmark

It's possible that they blanked out the second letter, I doubt it because they were probably filming in Canada and none of those fit the bill. scratch

And of course I'm right. clap
