I feel the same way...but now that Psych and Monk are off the air for awhile...maybe I'll have room. Am a little ambivalent about a vampire-detective. If we needed one, why couldn't they have kept Angel??!!

Yes, I'm taping it. Have to watch Atlantis "live". They will have to have some sort of new twist on an old subject to be successful. I suspect it will have a greater "sociological" content, whatever that means. Hopefully not a Bionic Woman with a change of gender and fangs. Suspect

Ah ! You picked up on Larry ! Not that I am surprised.

As the vampire mythos goes I thought it followed the dogmas adequately. Having the rescued little girl grow up to be a potential romantic foil gives it a twist that may contribute to its survival. Being on CBS rather than Fox gives it a chance to make it through one season.

It's in my top 3 of the new shows, not overall. I think that Jill Wagner is guest starring next week. It looks like her, couldn't be absolutely positive. Hopefully it is her, one of my favorite actresses. She needs a break from doing those Mercury commercials. On Moonlighting she probably won't get a chance to fire heavy full-automatic weapons as she did on Blade:The Series, but one can always hope.

Well, then you'll be happy to hear this:

ABC PICKS MORE 'DAISIES,' SCRIPTS ADDED TO 'CARPOOLERS,' 'MOONLIGHT'
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC's "Pushing Daisies" has received a full season order while newcomers "Carpoolers" and "Moonlight" have been asked for additional scripts.

Said news comes as the broadcast networks enter the last full week before the November sweeps period begins - a critical time for those series still awaiting word about their respective futures.

"Daisies" has handily won its Wednesday, 8:00/7:00c time period among adults 18-49 in each of its airings, making the back nine order not much of a surprise.

Meanwhile, "Carpoolers" remains a modest third-place option on the Alphabet's Tuesday schedule, retaining all of or building on lead-in "Cavemen's" audience in each of its broadcasts.

As for CBS's "Moonlight," the Friday entry pulled in front of ABC's "Women's Murder Club" in the key demographic last week, a sure sign the series may be here to stay.

To date only four series have gotten the go ahead for a full season - the aforementioned "Daisies," "Private Practice," The CW's "Gossip Girl" and CBS's "The Big Bang Theory" - while "Cane," "Moonlight" (four each); "Carpoolers," "Chuck," "Journeyman," "Bionic Woman," "Life" (three each); and "K-Ville" (two) have all landed script extensions.

Pushing Daisies is just too crazy for me, at least in the two episodes I tried to sit through. Have never seen Carpoolers, it conflicts, probably never will. Journeyman should be renewed, also Chuck, PP (if they can get the writing under control) and Cane. Haven't seen any of the others, except BW (gave up) and am trying to give Life more chances...

Finally caught an episode of Moonlight. It wasn't bad. Attractive leads. Just freaks me out to see that vampires can be in sunshine as long as its not for too long!!! Think I'd give this a...watch if I've got nothing better to do. Not "must see" by any means.

Great news about Pushing Daisies! :whee:

Now about Moonlight....I think it's awful in so many ways....and yet I can't stop watching it...Vampires only being paralyzed by stakes? Vampires running about freely in the sun? What???

Not a must see by any means if it had competition, I'd be watching something else likely but as it is. help

If Chuck doesn't get picked up....but why I dont' even want to think about that, I love that show and I really hope Bionic Woman makes it for at least the year....there's some potential there if they stopped trying to make it be BTVS.

So Jill Wagner didn't guest star. Cry Oh well, life goes on. The female lead is pretty nice though. She is the one that should have been cast as the Bionic Woman, but then she couldn't have been on Moonlight. I guess everything works out for the best....:)

Moonlight is remaining consistently good, and reveals more and more of the modern vampire dogma. Last ep we learn that vampires can let any bullets that hit them in place unless they are Silver, and that they have a "super-speed reading" ability which wouldn't be something you would think of as being useful, but Mick showed how it could be.

One potential danger I see is if Beth starts mooning over him and wants to start a "relationship". Those scenes at the end were pretty sappy and anything more could devolve into a jump the shark situation. Besides, how could that work ? Mick knows it wouldn't, Beth needs to think things through. At least next episode Coraline returns to divert their attention. Rolling Eyes

Fans shed blood for 'Moonlight'

April 1, 2008

Fans of CBS' "Moonlight" are so passionate about the vampire
drama that they're willing to sacrifice their own blood to keep the
series on the air.

Teaming with the Red Cross and online protest rally point YouChoose.net,
"Moonlight" viewers are organizing a nationwide blood drive to
garner network support for a second season. They claim that more
than 3,000 fans have pledged to donate a pint.

"Moonlight" star Alex O'Loughlin has been so moved by fans' efforts
that sources close to the series said he is becoming a spokesman
for the Red Cross. The spokesmanship position will be announced
this week.

For all the dramatic effort fans are expending to rescue the show,
here's the kicker: "Moonlight" isn't in any imminent danger of
cancellation. Although modestly rated, the show is considered very
likely to receive a pickup for the fall. Plus, "Moonlight" still
has four original episodes set to air when it returns April 25, so
there's plenty of time for CBS to mull its fate.

Still, "Moonlight" fans aren't taking any chances.

"We wanted to celebrate the return of episodes and really focus
attention on the show," said Barbara Arnold, who helped promote the
blood drive. "They say one pint of blood saves three lives. So if
we can collect 3,000, wouldn't that be nice?"

The fan intensity could be wearying for CBS.

The network just finished extinguishing a yearlong fan uprising
about its other ratings-challenged cult drama, "Jericho" (which the network canceled last
month)
. At least executives can take heart that, unlike in the
infamous "Jericho" peanut-mailing campaign, "Moonlight" fans are
using their blood to help a good cause rather than sending it to
the network.

Don't forget, new one tonight. Mick seems to have been returned to "human status" but I predict that that won't last long because it would destroy the basic premise. What would be unique about another show featuring a PI and a reporter sidekick ?
