So we can expect Da'Vonne to be going home on Thursday. Meanwhile all the so-called "alliances" are irrelevant at this early date. But it usually happens in most seasons only to be abandoned sooner or later as the stark reality of the necessary brutality for self preservation sets in.

'Big Brother 17' Spoilers: Was the Power of Veto Used in Week 2?
Monday, July 06, 2015

John Kubicek

Senior Writer, BuddyTV

With Shelli set on her master plan to evict Da'Vonne on Big Brother 17, will the Power of Veto seal Mama Da's fate or give her some hope? And is there any chance that the Last Laugh will change the outcome?

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 17 spoilers.

John won the Power of Veto.

John saved himself. Meg is the replacement nominee.

This essentially guarantees Da'Vonne's eviction. Even with the Last Laugh cancelling out three votes, she would need five to stay, and I don't envision any scenario in which Da'Vonne can get five votes to stay against Meg. Even Da'Vonne her best friend Jason know it's over, which makes for some rather boring live feeds. Unlike Jace, Da'Vonne knows enough about this game to know that she can't flip it.

Shelli's original plan was to use Liz as a pawn, but Vanessa and Austin convinced her not to, thinking that people might be more likely to keep Da'Vonne against Liz than Meg.

For now, Clay and Shelli seem protected on all sides. Audrey is in their back pocket, Austin, Vanessa and Liz seem open to working with them and they also formed a five-person alliance with Jeff, Jackie and Johnny Mac. Jackie is good friends with Becky and Jeff also formed a four-person alliance called the After Dark Crew with James, Jason and Meg.

Clay and Shelli's strategy seems successful since Jason, James and Meg are targeting Austin and Vanessa while Austin and Vanessa are targeting James, and everyone still seems to want to go after Audrey. However, with alliances shifting every week, nothing is ever set in stone.

Da'Vonne knows she's doomed and viewers know that the Last Laugh twist will be completely irrelevant. Between Jeff and Jackie coming in from The Amazing Race and now this Last Laugh power, the BB Takeover is starting to seem like a big flop.

Two New Alliances Overnight: Align With Everyone, Trust No One

?

Good grief, Big Brother 17 Houseguests. I know we always get a lot of alliances but this seems ridiculous and with no end in sight as two more alliances form overnight on Big Brother.

Jason Roy on Big Brother Feeds – Source: CBS All Access

No one seems to be holding any allegiance or loyalty to these alliances, but they continue to pop up, last a few hours or, if they’re really lucky, a few days, and then it’s on to the next one. One of these has potential while the other seems temporary. Oh, and one HG overlaps in to both.

Flashback to 9:50PM BBT 7/4 on your Live Feeds (get the Free Trial now) to find Jeff & Jackie, Shelli & Clay, and John in the HoH room discussing their trust in one another. Jeff suggests they need a seven-member alliance. Yeah, because 8 HGs is

John offers up Meg and Becky as two additional alliance members, but Jackie doesn’t think that should happen. Just a reminder: Jackie is an actual Houseguest this season. Moving on they want to name their alliance but no one can settle on something worthwhile. They’ll come back to that later.

Jump to the sun coming up and we’ve got James, Jeff, Jason, and Meg hanging out in the backyard talking game. We’ve recently seen this crowd gathered together late in to the night, err morning so it’s natural to see them forming trust. Listen in around 5:45AM BBT for more.

While it’s nothing official, they do name themselves the “After Dark Crew” (ADC) once it’s pointed out the “Late Night Crew” was already used in a past season. This group discusses their four main targets: Audrey, Austin, Steve, and Vanessa. They decide to split up responsibilities and two take Vanessa and the other two take Austin.

So Jeff has his hands in a lot of cookie jars right now seemingly having learned nothing from Audrey’s methods just the week before. He’s in a good position of playing the middle of the field right now, but sooner or later someone is going to catch on and that’s rarely a good thing.

Which alliance would you join at this point? At this rate we could have three more by sundown and another two by the time it comes back up!

‘Big Brother 17′ Spoilers: Week 2 Veto Ceremony Results

The latest Big Brother 17 spoilers are here for the Power of Veto Ceremony with the outcome settling who would be the final nominees this week to face the eviction vote.

After much debate and repeated wishy-washing Chelli, last Clay & Shelli shorthand, have settled on how to handle the situation they didn’t want to find themselves in. Time to find out if they’re making the right choice for their game.

John McGuire won the Power of Veto and a good thing since he was on the Block as a pawn while Chelli were hoping to keep him there. No such luck and despite Shelli asking him to not use the Veto, she really did that, John wisely went ahead and used the Veto to pull himself off the Block and Meg went up in his place as the renom.

Chelli (that’s Clay + Shelli) had debated over renoming Meg or Liz to go up against Da’Vonne, their main target. Originally they were going to go with Meg, but she talked them out of that and aimed the spotlight at Liz. Liz took the news well at first, but broke down crying later.

Austin didn’t want to see another close ally at risk so he convinced Chelli they needed to go with someone else. Back to Meg they went and Shelli confirmed this plan in a late-night meeting.

Now we have Da’Vonne and Meg as the final noms for the week and one of them will be evicted. Had Liz been up there I think we might have seen a chance at Day staying, but not against Meg when they’re both on a similar side of the House split. Nuts. Da’Vonne provided excellent entertainment on the Feeds and she will be missed.
