This is starting its 3rd season and I've never watched it but am hearing good things about it so will check it out. Abigail Spencer being in it is a big +. She's getting a lot of roles lately, True Detective, etc.

Okay, one and done. Jeez what a snoozer ! Various depressed, self absorbed people sitting around talking about their problems.

I watched the first two season. Yes, very deliberate and slow moving plot. Your description isn't incorrect. Nothing really resolved, just meanders slowly forward. It has some interesting moments and Daniels perspective and culture shock after getting out of prison 20 years later, damaged and confused. Only to find a damaged and confused family when he gets out.
