BB Day 64 8-20-15 Empty BB Day 64 8-20-15

Post  Banjo 2015-08-20, 13:02

So we finally got to see Sunday's POV comp. last night.  OTEV the "rocking roll" is suitably annoying which is the point. Megs' face plant on the 'slippery slide' was epic, but she wasn't hurt. Looks like Becky will be evicted tonight but I hope she wins the comp. between the jury to see who gets to come back into the house. When that comp. will occur isn't known yet, but it usually happens when there are 4 people in the jury house and Becky will only make three.
Tonight's HOH comp. after the eviction is expected to be an endurance comp. No problem, when it runs beyond the times of the CBS show we just use the live feeds to see the end. two thumbs up

'Big Brother 17' Recap: Otev Changes Nothing

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

Liz (and by extension, Julia and Austin) is in power on Big Brother 17. That means, even with the excitement of Otev, this week is relatively dull. Heck, even Otev is kind of dull because the Rocking Roll is insanely annoying.

Wednesdays are always boring when the Power of Veto has no chance of being used. Sure, the editors spent the entire hour trying to make it seem like Liz might actually backdoor Vanessa, but the truth is that she NEVER genuinely considered it as an option.

Johnny Mac Gets a Second Chance

Vanessa tries to smooth things over with Johnny Mac but he just wants to nap and let the entire house know that she is his sworn enemy. Meanwhile, Austin and the twins are angry that Johnny Mac is so depressed. Let's see how they act when they're on the block AND Have-Nots.

Steve tries to do damage control to help John with the rest of the Scamper Squad. They act like they want to work with him, but what's the point of bringing in a sixth member to your alliance when there are only gonna be eight people left in the house after Thursday?

Austin and Liz have a chat with Johnny Mac to see where his head is. He makes it clear to them that he's been going after Vanessa for a long time and proceeds to throw her under the bus. They eat it up with a spoon.

The Power of Veto Competition

Meg, Austin and Steve are picked to play. Johnny Mac ALWAYS picks Meg's chip, which is an obvious clue that the HGs can tell what name they're picking based on the size of the grooves in the chip. They need to change up the way this works because it is obviously being rigged this season.

Also, Julia is angry that she never gets picked and that Liz chose Austin over her. Johnny Mac agrees to throw the competition in order to make Austin and Liz trust him (which works).

It's Otev the Rocking Roll, which means the HGs must retrieve names of evicted HGs from a bunch of food and bring them back up the ramp. The last person to come back in each round gets eliminated. It might be the most annoying Otev ever, especially since he constantly screams "BUTTER!"

Johnny Mac is out first, another successfully thrown comp. Steve is out second to keep his win total down. Becky is out third after stealing a pile from Austin and then Meg is out next. It's down to Liz vs. Austin, so it doesn't matter at all.

Liz wins the Power of Veto! She's happy to have absolute power and vows to backdoor anyone who talks smack about her. Wow, don't you just love it when people play this game strategically and not personally?

Vanessa's Paranoia

After the PoV, Vanessa continues to go crazy with her game talk. Even Liz refers to her as the new Audrey and while they are getting very scared of Vanessa's game, all of the plans are setting her up as next week's target.

Vanessa then has a total emotional meltdown about feeling lonely and having no one in the game. She's upset that Austin doesn't talk to her and she feels like the fourth wheel. Everyone has caught on to these regular meltdowns and they don't care. She's literally acting the exact same way with Austin that Audrey was with Clay.

This causes a little bit of talk between Austin and the twins about how they're scared Vanessa might try to take out Austin next week. The editors make it seem like backdooring Vanessa this week is an option, but it's just the kind of personal venting Liz does with no basis in reality.

At night, Liz and Austin make out for 30 seconds. The next morning Liz has a hickey and Julia is mortified, threatening to attack Austin with a bat if he does it again. Julia's complete hatred of Austin is the only redeeming quality of the twins.

The Power of Veto Ceremony

Becky says she kept Liz, Julia and Austin safe last week so "all will be forgotten" if she uses the PoV to save her. Johnny Mac is hilarious and adorable as always, saying he doesn't want to talk to Julie Chen. Liz says whichever one gets evicted will probably come back, so she does NOT use the Power of Veto. Goodbye, Becky. I hope a train doesn't hit you on your way out the door.

Okay, so Becky was booted as expected...bummer. And Austin won HOH in a new type of race, which was already over when the live feeds came on immediately after the CBS live show where the comp. had just started. Time zone diffs. make for confusion sometimes. But at least we now know that Vanessa will be nominated on Saturday and only if she wins POV on Sunday will she be able to save herself from eviction next Thurs. But that day will be full because the Zingbot will be making his annual appearance, and the 4 evicted jury members, Shelli, Jackie, Becky, and Vanessa (probably) will be in a comp. to see who gets to come back into the house. Big times comin' up babies !!
