The problem with expecting a sociopath to keep his word is.....well, he's a sociopath. In the past few days Christmas has taken Josh aside in private and talked to him about "toning it down" if he doesn't want to put a target on his back. It seems to have worked because lately he has been seen more publicly in the house and has been able to engage in conversations, to at least a limited degree, without lashing out and exhibiting the usual paranoia. Whether Christmas' talks have caused him to become loyal to her, as he indicates to one side, remains to be seen. Meanwhile we wait for tonight's eviction vote and subsequent HOH comp.

‘Big Brother 19’ Live Feeds: Josh Martinez Ready To Blindside
July 5, 2017 Matthew Boyer Big Brother 19 275 Comments

Who doesn’t love a good blindside? Well get ready for Big Brother 19’s live eviction this week because Josh Martinez is working to help deliver what could be a hot live show on Thursday night. Overnight he sat with Jessica and Cody telling them exactly what they wanted to hear, but it might not be his true plan this week.

Josh Martinez prepares a blindside on BB19

Flashback to 11:51 PM BBT 7/4 Cams 1/2 to watch along as Josh has just come up to the HoH room to talk with Cody & Jessica regarding the plans for votes this week.

Jessica has brought Josh upstairs to talk with Cody. He asks Josh what he’s planning to do this week and Josh says he is going to vote to keep Jillian. This is at odds with what he told Feedsters in a camtalk session earlier on Tuesday.

Cody warns Josh that if he votes to keep Christmas then that side will continue to pick his side off. Josh isn’t sure what sides Cody is even trying to describe so he asks him for more details and specifics. Cody says Kevin, Ramses, Jason, Alex, etc. will all be targets of that group.

Josh wants to know if he was the target since he felt like he had to grab the golden apple. Cody assures him that Paul was his target. Josh asks what happened about the big group and working together to the end. Cody says that was what they (the others) wanted, but he and Jessica wanted to “bridge” the divide and work with everyone which ending up breaking apart the group.

Cody is fluffing Josh’s feathers up telling him that Josh is “powerful this week because your vote counts.” Josh reiterates that no one tells him anything and he has been feeling isolated. Jessica tells Josh this is his opportunity to inflict fear on the other side by voting with her against Christmas this week. “You have the power. You are basically the swing vote,” says Cody.

Josh tells Jessica and Cody that he’ll vote out Christmas, but he wants to know where he stands with them and whether or not he’ll have safety from them. “Week to week? 1000%” Just a week of it when you’re the outgoing HoH? Might want to work on your sales pitch, Cody.
Gallery: Cody & Jessica Work On Josh’s Vote

Jessica continues to press on Josh that Christmas needs to go to shake up the other side. She says the other side thinks “they have the power and they don’t.” Cody again tells Josh the whole vote hangs on Josh’s decision. Then on top of Josh’s concerns about feeling isolated, Cody says not to take it personally if neither he nor Jessica ever talk to him because they’re off in their own world together.

As things wrap up Jessica makes what might have been their best argument the whole time. She reminds Josh that with her injury, Christmas may not even be able to deliver on any promises of keeping him safe if she can’t even try to win HoH. Should have led with that one and hammered on it. Then again, is Jillian really going to be challenging too many HGs in physical comps either?

Josh heads back downstairs and Cody shoots Jessica a huge grin. Success! Or is it? Jump forward to 12:50 AM BBT 7/5 Cams 1/2 to find Paul and Josh going in the storage room for a quick whisper.

Josh reveals Jessica pulled him in to the HoH, called him the swing vote, and how he should side with them since no one has been talking with him all week. Josh tells him he has them convinced he’ll vote out Christmas. Paul is thrilled that Josh has made this double cross move against Jessica and Cody by promising them his vote.

Paul celebrates with Josh who then tells Paul that he only trusts him and Christmas. Paul says he won’t tell anybody because Josh is the “secret weapon.”

There’s a bit for celebrating as Josh laughs about Jessica and Cody calling him the swing vote after they didn’t talk to him all week “and now you want to work with me?!” Commence bird flipping by the guys here. “Now you’re playing the game bro. Now you’re f**king play the game!” says Paul. They break up and quietly leave the storage room as Josh reminds Paul to help keep him calm “because I black the f**k out.” Heh.

So there we go. Josh has told Jessica & Cody he’ll be voting along their interests, but as we heard earlier in the day and again here with Paul, it seems clear that Josh is actually planning to help evict Jillian.

From the vote counts I did earlier, as long as Josh and Mark stay with evicting Jillian then it’ll be the most likely scenario for Thursday night’s live show. Of course, that’s as long as Christmas’s MRI from her injury comes back clean later today and she isn’t removed from the game for medical reasons. Fingers crossed we don’t lose another HG and a live show blindside!

What do you think of Josh’s plan here? Good move? Crazy and unnecessarily upsetting to the other side? Or just good ol’ Big Brother fun? Share your thoughts below!

Update: Well there goes that. Seems Paul ran his mouth to Kevin about Josh’s plans to vote out Jillian and lie to Cody & Jessica. Considering Kevin is planning to vote out Christmas this wasn’t a good idea by Paul. On top of that Paul promised Josh that he wouldn’t tell anyone about this. Sigh.

Big Brother 19 Eviction Prediction: Who Is Going Home Week 1?
July 6, 2017 Matthew Boyer Big Brother 19 35 Comments

Welcome to the first Eviction Day of Big Brother 19! We’ve got Christmas and Jillian on the Block after a wild PoV Ceremony that revealed Paul’s power of safety and Cody was forced to shift his goals. Now one of these two ladies will be evicted and the house is barreling toward a narrow decision.

Final noms of week 1 on Big Brother 19

There haven’t been major shifts since I looked at the vote on Tuesday, but we have had a few refinements on the “uncertain” votes. Unfortunately for my prediction, there’s still one vote that remains in a fog and that’s Josh’s. Here’s where we are on the rest.

Cody’s former allies have banded together to get out Jillian and keep Christmas. Cody kept Jessica by his side, but lost every single other member of his nine member team. That’s an impressive implosion.

Paul, Dominique, Matthew, Raven, Mark, and Elena have all bailed on Cody and are voting to evict Jillian. But that’s only six and this week you need seven of the twelve votes to avoid Cody having the tie-breaker which he would use to evict Christimas.

On the other side of the fence are the “outsiders” who were not part of the original mega alliance except for Jessica who continues to support Cody due to her showmance with him. On this side we’ve got Jessica, Alex, Ramses, Jason, and Kevin.

Initially I thought Kevin would vote along with Paul, but that’s not happening. Jason is also going with Alex instead of Paul. Ramses was also with the outsiders so he’ll stay there.

That gives the choice to Josh. He’s gone from definitely keeping Christmas to saying keeping Christmas is not the best for his game. He’s a mess and all over the place, but that’s just what we’d expect, right?

So what will Josh do? Despite all his concerns I think he does want to stick to his word with Paul. Last night he told the camera he wants to prove his loyalty to Paul through his actions. Voting out Christmas wouldn’t come close to that. The only road that leads there is through See-Ya-Jillian-Ville.

With that in mind I’ll place my bet on 7-5, Jillian you have been evicted from Big Brother 19.

But! No matter which way we see Josh go tonight, we’ll have a great show. If he blindsides Cody and Jessica then that whole side is furious. Should Josh betray Paul and company then they’re angry too. Josh has gone and dug himself a nice, deep hole no matter what he does. Lucky for us though, we reap the rewards. Hooray for Team Feeds!

'Big Brother 19' Vote Count: Who Will Go Home in the First Live Eviction?
John Kubicek

Senior Writer, BuddyTV

It's the first live eviction of the season on Big Brother 19, and it's a close one. Cody is the HoH while Christmas and Jillian are on the block. There's been a lot of campaigning in the house and the vote is most likely going to be very close either way, leading to a split house and exciting aftermath.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 19 spoilers.

BB19 Spoilers: Christmas Injured in the House>>>

As of Thursday morning, it seems that the vote will either be 7-5 to evict Jillian or 6-6, a tie with Cody deciding to evict Christmas. It could easily swing either way.

The Votes to Evict Jillian

Paul has been campaigning very hard to save Christmas and the remnant of Cody's alliance are on his side. Mark, Elena, Matt, Raven and Dominique are all voting to save Christmas and evict Jillian, giving that side six guaranteed votes.

The Votes to Evict Christmas

Cody wants Christmas to be evicted and Jessica is standing by her man. The outsiders mostly want to keep Jillian as well, like Alex, Jason and Ramses. Kevin seemed to be with Paul early on, but now he looks to be closer to Jason and will stick with the outsiders in evicting Christmas. That leaves Josh as the swing vote.

The Swing Vote

Josh genuinely likes Christmas and wants to work with her and Paul. However, he doesn't trust the showmances (Mark and Elena, Matt and Raven) and is worried about siding with them. He also wants to work with the outsiders like Jason, Kevin and Alex. On the live feeds he spoke directly to the cameras early on Wednesday and said he was definitely voting to save Christmas, but later that night he talked to the cameras again and said he was torn.

Josh has all of the power, which could be a bad thing because he will also get all of the blame. If the vote is a tie, everyone will know exactly where everyone else voted and people like Paul will be very mad at Josh. But there could be more fireworks because it seems that the pro-Christmas side doesn't think the vote will be very close because they assume that people like Kevin and maybe even Jason or Ramses are also on their side.

The live feeds on Thursday may reveal more information before they go down prior to the live eviction, but it definitely looks like we're in for a wild ride during the live show and afterwards. If Christmas is evicted, six people in the house (Paul, Dominique, Mark, Elena, Matt and Raven) will know they're in trouble. If Christmas stays, the outsiders may turn on each other and Cody and Jessica will explode. And if the vote is 7-5 and Christmas stays, Paul will probably still be angry that it was so close.

It's rare to have such an exciting vote in the first work, but with Cameron going home on the first night, Megan leaving and Cody blindsiding his own alliance, this has been a very unusual and dramatic start to a season.

The Big Brother 19 live eviction airs Thursday at 9/8c on CBS.

'Big Brother 19' Spoilers: Will the Injured HG Stay in the Game?

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

The first week of Big Brother 19 has been filled with drama, especially for one houseguest who suffered an injury and whose fate in the game is questionable. Now she's back with answers about whether she's sticking around.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 19 spoilers.

On Monday, Christmas injured her foot while horsing around with Jason. She left the house to be treated by doctors and returned with a foot cast and crutches. On Wednesday she left the house again for an MRI to determine the damage.

Christmas Injures Her Foot on BB19>>>

When Christmas returned, she revealed that she has two broken bones in her foot. The producers let her decide whether to stay or leave, and Christmas chose to stay in the competition. However, the producers explained that they will not change and of the competitions and her doctors will decide on a case-by-case basis whether she will be able to compete in the challenges.

This definitely has a big impact on the game. Christmas is currently on the block next to Jillian and it looks as though she will have the votes to stay. Moving forward, the fact that she may not be able to even participate in some of the HoH and PoV competitions could certainly play a role in decisions in the house. She won't be much of an asset to help out if she can't win HoH or PoV, but knowing that she's injured may be a reason to keep her around because that's one less person you're competing against.

Christmas doesn't know how long it will take for her to heal, but two broken bones in her foot is bound to be an issue every time a physical competition shows up. If there are balance beams or standing on the wall, she probably won't be taking part.

Can Cody Recover in 'Big Brother 19' After His Nomination Blunder?

Derek Stauffer
Contributing Writer, BuddyTV

Cody's meteoric rise to power in Big Brother 19 was not at all surprising. Cody fits the archetype of the Big Brother alpha-male to a tee and those type of players almost always control (or think they control) the early days of the game. It is somewhat shocking how quickly Cody's house of cards tumbled in Big Brother 19. The alpha-male typically doesn't do well for long but very rarely does their game blow up so quickly and almost entirely due to their own actions. In one fell swoop Cody very likely destroyed any chance he had at winning Big Brother 19.

Big Brother 19 Recap: Cody Blindsides His Alliance>>>

Minor Spoilers follow for Big Brother 19!

Cancelling Christmas

Cody's decision to target Paul wasn't the worst thing he could have done in the game. It was stupid how Cody didn't let anyone, not even Jessica who inexplicably thinks he hangs the moon, in on what he was doing but it was understandable. Cody blindsiding his alliance and backdooring Paul would have angered people but it likely wouldn't have been detrimental to his game.

Cody could've swayed some people to get out Paul. Cody has had a hate boner for Paul since day one because Paul is a veteran and way more experienced in the game than most of the Big Brother 19 houseguests. Paul is a threat. Cody's mistake, and likely a fatal one, was deciding to go after Christmas instead.

It was obvious from the reactions in the house, specifically from Cody's own alliance, that when Christmas was nominated Cody ruined his game. No one on Cody's side of the house wanted to vote out Christmas at all and Cody should've realized that fact. The only reason Cody nominated her was to spite Paul but he ended just spiting himself. Cody just turned most of his alliance against himself. This will become especially true if Christmas stays in the house (which according to the live feeds looks likely to happen). There are a few reasons to get rid of Paul, there are no reasons at this point in the game for anyone to get rid of Christmas.

From Head of House to Head of the Dog House

Christmas has way more of a chance to dominate competition in Big Brother 19 than fellow nominee Jillian. This early in the game, though, Christmas' potential competitive dominance can only be an asset to those who align with her. Jillian has done less than nothing for her side of the house or for herself. Jillian doesn't exactly deserve to go home (and would be an unremarkable first evictee) but she also hasn't done anything to prove she needs to be in the Big Brother house. By nominating Christmas, Cody didn't just screw himself out of a powerful ally, he also proved to most of the house that he can't be trusted by hiding his intentions before the nomination.

Which Big Brother 19 Showmance Will Last the Longest?>>>

Cody's only option of salvaging his game is to try to side with the people that he was calling the outcasts days ago. Cody might be the Head of Household but by nominating Christmas he put himself in the minority of the house. It is a house shift that is not at all welcome. It is incredibly unlikely that anyone on that side of the house will want to take Cody into their numbers, though. Alex is Cody's closest "ally" from that side of the house and she doesn't seem to trust or like him at all.

Then there is Cody's disgusting showmance with Jessica. No one who Alex is aligned with likes Cody's relationship with Jessica (for game reasons) and wants to break it up immediately. Cody is the easy target there because Jessica has proved no real skill for Big Brother so far into this season. Cody did bully a deal out of Jason to not nominate himself or Jessica but that is only in effect if Jason wins Head of Household. Cody made on uneasy ally in Jason by not nominating him but he made way more enemies (and threatening ones to boot) by putting up Christmas.

Unless, by some miracle, Jessica wins Head of Household, Cody is probably going to find himself on the block in week 2 and will likely be going home in that same week. But what do you think? Are Cody's days in the Big Brother house numbered? Is his Christmas nomination the worst move by a Head of Household ever?

Jillian was booted 8 to 4. Part of the HOH comp. was shown on the live feeds before the TV show ended , by 45 minutes . We could see that Christmas was there bravely competing on her crutches so we knew that it was Jillian that was booted. Paul went on to win the comp. and becomes the new HOH. He will almost certainly nominate Cody and Jessica for eviction next Thursday. Meanwhile the poor drones that only watch the CBS shows will have to wait until Sunday to even find out who won HOH.....the poor saps. Rolling Eyes
