The walking Dead season 11

It's unlikely that Maggie will die in spite of what Reedus says about an unexpected death in S11. We will remember that in season 6 it appeared that Glenn, Maggie's husband, was killed by Walkers, but in the next episode it was shown that he had crawled under a dumpster and avoided them. So.....we are suspicious of this new teaser.

Episode 1 of season 11 introduced several new concepts. In the first scenes we see a bunch of what appears to be 'sleeping' Walkers. What the ....? That was mysterious to those of us who have never read TWD comics where these "Lurkers' have appeared but never on the TV show. So Angela Kang the showrunner explained what they are and how they 'work'. Then explained how they used split screens for the first time on the show. This was effective and they will probably keep doing it. The final scene with Maggie apparently falling to her death will of course be resolved positively in the next ep. Overall the first ep was dark and ominous, what else should we expect from TWD ?

The back half of season 11 is now showing so I had to sign up for AMC+ again.
