Letters to Juliet

This one was right up my alley. Romantic, sweet (I did not want to cry for a year at the end) and earnest. Amanda Seyfried is gorgeous, the scenery is magnificent (can someone take me to Italy, please? ) and Vanessa Redgrave makes such a full portrait out of what could be less of a role. It's probably a chick-flick but I loved it.

Definitely, this is a chick flick. But it's a sweet and funny romance...and it's hard not to get a bit of teary at a few different points.
It's good for what it's supposed to be. For me that's always how I judge things, I don't do Godfather vs Letters to Juliet vs Jaws...that's never going to work.

Another reason I like this was the cast.
and the deciding reason to go...it could suck but it'll be a nice vicarious travel thru Italy movie.

It'll do well on the small screen.
