Orphan Black

New Sci-fi thriller premieres Saturday night at 9pm (following Dr. Who's return)

Hmmm.....looks interesting. I think I get BBC America after all, didn't think I did, but it's way down in the Non-HD channels where I rarely go, but I did see 4-5 year old Torchwood episodes listed there when I was searching for something else, so maybe the new Dr. Who will be there too.

Yes! Chan 114. A Dr. Who marathon going on now but new one and Orphan Black listed for tomorrow. But as you can see I sacrifice a lot of screen area to watch that chan. Life is hard enough without this. I'll try to tough it out....

I think you'll get hooked. They've got some good programming.

Well, Orphan Black...fast-paced (I'll say that for it). No likeable characters as far as I can tell and a lot of implausible situations. But I'll give it a few more episodes before making up my mind about it.

I missed it from the beginning but caught some of the last half hour. Sort of baffled, and the small screen/picture area is still off-putting, but will give it another try.

How many clones are there of this girl? And who is trying to kill them? Assuming the identity of a person about to be killed or under investigation for a civilian shooting did not improve her situation. But, she doesn't seem like a person who makes good choices. I'll watch a few more and see what happens.

How many and who and why is someone trying to kill them is the mystery of the season. And at least, if we don't like the main character...we will have endless variations of her presented.

I wonder if the lead actress gets paid more for all the different characters she plays in this? There are so many now, it's getting kind of silly.

but there seem to be at least eight of her. The show does mention that their cloning must be an illegal experiment, so perhaps that is why someone is trying to get rid of them. (Although, turning up all these identical dead bodies would arguably draw more attention, and therefore more suspicion.) So far, Felix seems to be the only moderately likable character. Or at least he provides comic relief. After three episodes, I'm not sure if I will continue watching.

I did like a few things about tonight's episode. I liked when

Ohhh! Your comments are brilliant! Felix was a stitch in that situation! The mom must have been mortified! And the "motorcycle bad guy" had me completely confused regarding motive during the confrontation, and then again later, when alone. Maybe I'll need to keep watching to figure this out.

I might try watching this again but the lack of HD is hard on my eyes after so many hours of watching HD shows. Poor baby !

While we are waiting for the show to begin next Saturday....tonight will be something called "Cloneversation" . It is hosted by Wil Wheaton and will be a lot of talking about Orphan Black. Diehard fans take note!

I'll watch since I get BBC America....will give my critique later which I'm sure everyone is waiting breathlessly for....

The premire is being shown on 3-4 different channels....rather unusual, haven't decided which one I'll view, I'm partial to IFC....
