Joey has played an entertaining game, but almost every move she’s made in the house has been poorly directed and executed. Her ham-handed attempt at pulling together a massive girls alliance all at once instead of piecemealing it. Her subsequent looping announcements about her failed alliance. The head-on campaign attack at Devin. Lastly the Alex persona in one final effort to save herself. It’s all gone poorly. Heck, she even tried to out Team America to Hayden, but hopefully he’s forgotten about what she said and won’t repeat after she’s gone tonight.
While crying in the Storage room Joey announced that Big Brother shouldn’t cast players who haven’t ever heard of the show. Well, I’d mostly have to agree. They’re fun for cannon fodder, but good grief some of them make a real disaster of it. I think that’s just what happened here.
The rest of the predictions are in from these Big Brother sites and everyone agrees that Joey will be sent home. No, wait, Todd at BigBigBrother.com thinks it’ll be Alex. So yeah.

How Will Dual HoHs Be Crowned On Big Brother 16?

In a brand new twist for Big Brother, the Season 16 Head of Household role has been doubled up with two HGs winning the coveted position each week before a final battle to decide the true power. But how will those two HoHs be decided each week?

Last week’s premiere episodes delivered two separate Head of Household competitions which made it a simple, but rather interesting and different experience for us and the Houseguests. Now we’re approaching the second week of comps and everyone, inside and outside the house, are questioning how it’ll happen this time.
While it’s possible there could be two separate HoH comps one after another, ie. Round 1 with 14 HGs and Round 2 with 13 HGs, that seems too timely and expensive for set up and tear down unless the comps were basic Q&As (A or B).
Alternate options to our double crown arrangement on Big Brother 16 could include an extension of the typical “last man standing” comp where it’s simply “last two HGs standing” in an endurance comp. Sure, it’s possible, but I wouldn’t expect another hang-on endurance comp just yet. Maybe later on this season though.
Another possibility, and one suggested by HGs this week, would be pairs. There will be an even number of HGs competing this week after one eviction and one outgoing HoH left on the sidelines which would make a lot of sense. Yes, the temporary HoH who was dethroned during Battle of the Block will get to compete in the following week’s new HoH comp.
With an even number the HGs could be paired up and set to compete in something like the bbq sauce race last season. In that case two players won, Jeremy and Aaryn, but they had to pick between them them on who get the power. No down-select would be required like last season.
Next week pairs will be off the board so we’ll get another chance at something new and different yet again. Gotta hand it to production, this season has kept us guessing and the HGs surprised which is a good achievement after so many seasons.

Tonight On Big Brother 16: Week 1 Live Eviction & HoH

Big Brother 16 is here with its first live show of the season and that means it’s Eviction Day! Either Joey Van Pelt or Paola Shea will be sent packing and join host Julie Chen outside the Big Brother house tonight when the first votes of the season are cast.

During tonight’s one-hour live episode, starting at 9PM ET/PT on CBS, we’ll first get caught up on the latest events which are sure to include some of Joey’s crazy antics with the arrival of “Tough Guy Alex” and his failed attempt at turning the tide.
Once the eviction vote is complete the HGs will hurry out to the backyard where a new HG will be crowned HoH, but wait, don’t forget so will another one of them. We should be back to our double HoH situation by the night’s end even if it doesn’t finish before the show is over.
We’ll be watching and live recapping tonight’s Big Brother 16 show here on the site. Devin Calls House Meeting On Big Brother 16 Live Feeds

With the Big Brother 16 week winding down and the first eviction target confirmed, things looked set for a calm night… House Meeting! Oh yes, our first big pile-on of the season and no, it wasn’t Joey Van Pelt leading the drama this time. The honor goes to Devin Shepherd who wanted to get something off his chest.

To set the scene Flashback on your Feeds to Tuesday (July 2) at 11:00PM BBT Cams 3/4 and you’ll find Devin confessing to Donny that he is the sole reason Caleb nominated him this week. He admits to not trusting him and wanting to get him on the block.
Devin has come to Donny with this information now because what’s really important now for him is “being a good role model” for his daughter. What? Devin has a daughter?? Why did he wait so long to tell anyone about this? Anyway, Devin says it’s important that she know the difference between game and reality, a separation Devin may still be working on himself. Devin continues to apologize profusely and beg for forgiveness which Donny extends immediately and calls it water under the bridge. Donny says he’s glad to know it wasn’t Caleb’s idea after all.

Now you’re ready for the House Meeting. Flashback on your Live Feeds to Tuesday (July 2) at 11:19PM BBT Cams 3/4 to start the action.
Devin kicks things off by assuring HGs this isn’t game play, it’s all real talk. He immediately starts tearing up while suggesting they don’t have to respect him after this talk is done. Check.
Devin explains that coming in to the house he wanted to “revolutionize the way we play big brother.” This is his “honesty & integrity” game talk again and the idea is ridiculous. Big Brother is a game that you play and try to be sneaky at times to survive. It doesn’t make you a bad person to do it. It makes you a normal Big Brother HG whether you win or not. It’s like saying “I came here to play chess, but I want to do it without any pieces!”

Afterwards, Devin heads to the HoH bathroom where he hides out and cries in the WC stall. Downstairs the houseguests slowly disperse while not really sure what was just going on there.
Personally, I think this was another fake emotional “breakdown” for Devin. He’s been faking a lot of these tears and this was another one of those. Earlier he pulled Derrick and Christine in to the Storage room and talked about trusting him and keeping calm (6:49PM BBT). That might have been a slight heads up that he was going to pull something.
Why would Devin call that meeting and “meltdown” yet again? He must have thought it would help, but Devin was on the edge already and as Frankie stated shortly after, “[Devin] just united the entire house against him.” Yep.
Look for Devin to be the main target next week, but with the new Battle of the Block comp giving HGs one more out from eviction they may need to aim for a backdoor scenario. Then again, maybe we should focus on tonight’s eviction first and then worry about next week next week.

After a pretty slow week in the Big Brother 16 house, things really got turned up a few notches Wednesday night. Wednesdays are often a good night for Live Feeds as it’s eviction night eve, but Joey and Paola had very little to do with the drama that went down. That honor goes to Devin and our first real House Meeting of the Big Brother season. Hooray!

Big Brother 16 Live Feed Highlights – Wednesday, July 2, 2014:
4:15 PM BBT – Frankie and Zach talking about how Devin cannot win HOH this week.
6:40 PM BBT – Zach and Victoria are talking, trying to get information out of each other. It’s kind of an awkward and funny conversation.
7:38 PM BBT – Now even Caleb seems to be wearing thin with Devin. He tells Frankie Devin only seems to care about himself.
8:24 PM BBT – Zach is talking to the cameras about how much he hates Victoria and how he’s going to use all of his energy to ruin her.
9:38 PM BBT – Devin and Amber are talking about the Caleb situation. He’s sort of coming at her for doing Caleb wrong, but she tells Devin that is not what’s been going on. Amber is very upset with Devin.
9:45 PM BBT – Devin rehashes his conversation with Amber to Devin Caleb.
10:47 PM BBT – Amber is still upset about Devin. She heads to the bathroom, crying.
10:52 PM BBT – Amber, Jocasta, Paola and Frankie are all in the enclosed toilet are talking about what Amber should do over the Caleb/Devin situation.
10:56 PM BBT – Amber tells Caleb that what she has said to him is true. And that Devin is not the middle man. She says she wants them to be good and that she isn’t happy with Devin right now. Amber implies that Devin has misunderstood (or lied) about her saying she was not interested in Caleb. She also implies that he’s making her out to be someone she’s not.
10:58 PM BBT – Meanwhile, Devin is trying to come clean with Donny. He tells him that he planned to play the game with honesty and integrity. He confesses to Donny that he suggested Donny go up on the block this week and that he didn’t believe he was who he said he was. All Donny can ask is “am I sill a target for you?” Donny is way too nice.
11:18 PM BBT – Devin calls a house meeting. He says he wants to get things off his chest. He tells the group the same thing he told Donny about playing with honesty and integrity.
11:26 PM BBT – Frankie and Victoria are all “WHAT WAS THAT?” Frankie says that united the HGs against Devin.
11:28 PM BBT – Frankie and Zach meet in the storage room to talk about how crazy that was and say that Devin is going home next.
12:00 AM BBT – The have-nots get to eat!
12:25 AM BBT – Caleb is excited and discussing how Amber agreed to a date. He’s going to start planning it. First he’ll need to get the lotion set up in the bucket, but hopefully not the hose.
12:55 AM BBT – Talk turns back to Devin’s speech. Frankie, Zach, and Caleb believe Devin’s sincerity, but worry there’s going to be collateral damage and he’s making other targets. Talk continues and they suggest Devin should be next to go.
1:30 AM BBT – Frankie, Derrick, and Cody having a long game talk in the Hive about Devin. It’s suggested that as long as he doesn’t win HoH then he’s gone (or Veto or BotB – lots of safeties). Derrick is worried that others are interpreting Devin’s talk as outing his alliance with Caleb since Devin said he controlled Caleb’s nomination of Donny.
2:20 AM BBT – Brittany talking with Jocasta, Amber, and Paola about targeting Devin. The women say they’re going to fight hard to make sure he doesn’t win.
3:00 AM BBT – Caleb is talking about… I’ll let you guess. He admits she might not like him and that’s okay. Well it’s a start.
So it sounds like Devin made the target even bigger on his back. If he doesn’t win HOH this coming week, then we can probably expect him to be nominated or backdoored and possibly evicted. If not, we’re in for some crazy stuff until he leaves.
