I saw part of that encounter between Paulie and Z. He would be a good producer on Unreal.....cold and brutal. I don't know why Z is attracted to him but the same could be said of many of the BB showmances over the years. Rolling Eyes

'Big Brother 18' Spoilers: Zakiyah and Paulie's Big Fight

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

If you only watch the TV show for Big Brother 18, you probably have no idea who Zakiyah is. She's never won a competition or been nominated and she hasn't made a huge impact in any of the major storylines. But on the live feeds, she's had a tumultuous pseudo-showmance with Paulie, and it definitely reached a new boiling point on Tuesday night, and not in a good way.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 18 spoilers.

The main thing you need to know is that Zakiyah is a lot more into Paulie than he is into her. She's spent many days talking to Nicole about how much she likes him and what their babies would look like. Meanwhile, Paulie talks to his bros (Paul, Corey and Victor) about how clingy and jealous she is and how he needs to take her out soon for his game.

This dilemma is quickly reaching the tipping point, especially this week since Paulie was the mastermind behind backdooring Da'Vonne while Zakiyah wants to save her. Paulie is using this as an opportunity to throw Zakiyah and her friend Michelle under the bus, setting them up as the main targets for next week.

Their big fight comes down to a pair of "lies" Zakiyah told Paulie. She told him that Michelle heard from Victor that he was nervous about people whispering behind his back, something Paulie believes Michelle actually said. In addition, Zakiyah initially claimed Michelle told her this when they were alone together in the Have-Not room, but it seems James was also in the room at the time, sleeping in one of the bumper cars.

Part of the problem for Zakiyah is that Paulie has done a good job getting everyone in the house to feed him information out of fear that they will become his next target, with James, Victor and Nicole being the three biggest rats. Paulie took these "lies" as a huge insult and used them to smear Zakiyah to everyone who would listen to him.

On Tuesday night, Zakiyah and Paulie met up in the secret Paris room to discuss the drama. Zakiyah tried to defend herself, claiming she just forgot James was sleeping in the room at the time, but Paulie was very dismissive. He kept accusing her of being a liar and a phony. She started crying and he got sick and tired of her emotions, so he left.

Zakiyah is definitely way too invested in her relationship with Paulie, but Paulie is being extremely cold and withholding, which only seems to drive her crazier. Afterwards she sobbed to Michelle and Da'Vonne, talking about how she was a fool for falling for Paulie in the first place and claiming she's done with him. Da'Vonne did a dance of joy that her former friend finally realizes that Paulie is playing her, but by the end of the night, Zakiyah was back in Paulie's arms.

It's become a rather depressing situation where Zakiyah's main concern is her relationship with Paulie and Paulie's main concern is winning the game. It seems Da'Vonne was 100 percent correct when she expressed concern early on that these cute boys were messing with the girls' minds.

‘Big Brother 18’: Da’Vonne Faces Continued Deception By Former Allies
By: Matthew Boyer | August 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM EDT

There remains little hope for Da’Vonne Rogers to escape this week of Big Brother 18 without being evicted, but as she’s continued to try and discover the poorly hidden plans against her, Da’Vonne’s former allies are doing their best to hide the truth.

Da'Vonne Rogers on Big Brother 18

Since yesterday afternoon the flags have been going up for Da’Vonne but it’s almost been as if she was keeping herself from accepting the obvious reality in front of her. But at this point, even if someone will admit the truth her fate looks to be sealed.

Yesterday afternoon Da’Vonne dropped in on a talk between James, Nicole, Corey, and Paul about targeting Da’Vonne this week. Flashback to 2:55 PM BBT 8/2. Da’Vonne asks what the group is thinking for Double Eviction targets and James offers up Bridgette and Victor as ideas. Da’Vonne points out Bridgette shouldn’t be here after Thursday. Oops. She leaves the room on full alert and knows something is up.

A few hours later Da’Vonne pulls James aside (5:20 PM BBT) and she asks what’s going on. Day wants to know why he said Bridgette would be his target in a DE. James scrambles and says he thought the talk was about who was going next. She pushes again asking James if there’s anything he’s hiding and he can tell her. James continues to deny what he knows: Da’Vonne is the target and will be evicted.

Da’Vonne straight out asks James if she 100% has his vote. He says he does. Ouch. Not only that but James suggests she might be getting Natalie’s vote. Against her friend Bridgette? No way Da’Vonne is buying that. She already said the night before that she expects Natalie to vote to evict her.

You can put James over in the column for allies continuing to lie to Da’Vonne about what he knows and is planning to do.

Move forward a bit to 6:50 PM BBT as Da’Vonne is talking with Zakiyah. Day is very suspicious and asks for info saying she’s thinking the house is going against her. Zakiyah doesn’t offer up anything. She knows Paulie is targeting Da’Vonne but doesn’t warn her. There goes another ally.

Da’Vonne goes to Michelle to see what she knows. Flashback to 8:17 PM BBT. Michelle just had a long talk with Paulie so Da’Vonne is hoping for info. Well guess what, it won’t be coming from Michelle either as she tells Da’Vonne Paulie just promised her Bridgette is going home. We know Michelle is on to the Evict-Da’Vonne plan because she was upset earlier that she didn’t use the Veto last week and now it’s going to be another round of Bridgette staying in the house.

Now it’s Paulie’s turn. Move forward to 12:30 AM BBT to find Da’Vonne talking with Paulie in the HoH room. Paulie promises Da’Vonne that he’ll be voting out Bridgette. She leaves and Paulie lets Zakiyah knows he thinks it’d be the right thing to tell Day that he pushed for her to go up and out.

Back to James Da’Vonne goes as she may fear he could be the one last bastion of hope this week.

I don’t think Da’Vonne is buying anything these Houseguests are selling though as she goes to James with a light plea for his support. Jump to 2:07 AM BBT as she sits with James and Natalie telling them she’s had some worrisome conversations today and she needs them to have her back.

James points out that Paul is going to be Da’Vonne’s man of concern this week as he notes it could be a tie. Day says she knows but she also knows she needs his and Natalie’s vote to give her a fighting chance at even working on Paul. She admits it’s putting the two of them in a bad situation, but she needs their help and votes this week.

Da’Vonne correctly identifies that Paulie, Victor, Nicole, and Corey could be plotting against her. They are and she probably knows it to be certain, but may be hesitant to assert it so it can’t be used against her. Day again presses that if there was ever a time she needed James it is now.

James warns Da’Vonne that if things are going to come down to a tie and she wants his vote then he’ll have to talk with Paul to see how he wants to break it. James is letting Da’Vonne know she’s in big trouble here, but he won’t plainly admit it. Da’Vonne is disappointed in him.

She puts him right on the spot and asks if he talks to Paul and Paul says he’s voting Da’Vonne out then would he vote against Da’Vonne or Bridgette. James says he’d have to have a talk with Day before deciding what to do. She smiles and asks again if that means he’s voting her out if Paul says he’d break the tie against her. “Noooooo!” claims James. Yes. James says he’s straight up voting Bridgette out. Nope.

Da’Vonne gets up. She’s starting to tear a bit and tells James that when she’s in her DR sessions (she calls them “dreams” as code) that she refers to James as her “main apple scrapple” and it’s going to hurt a lot if he turns around and votes her out. She gives him an exit saying she knows he will have to do what he needs to for his kid, but it’s going to really hurt her.

The talk breaks up as Victor arrives and the conversation flutters away. There can be little doubt in Da’Vonne’s mind over what’s going to happen on Thursday night. Her closest allies are lying to her and she knows it. Worst part of Da’Vonne’s situation is even if all four potential votes turned in her direction it’d still come down to Paul and he will not go against Paulie. Da’Vonne is about to be gone.

What do you think of the deceit by Da’Vonne’s allies. Do they owe her the truth or does it make more sense for them to cover their own behinds and let go of a perceived lost cause?
