Premires tonight ! This should be interesting with Boston Rob and Sandra not competing but affecting the tribes in some unspecified way . Boston Rob won his season way back with scheming, trickery, and unkept promises. Sandra won her two seasons with brutality, intimidation, and threats. How they will use these "qualities" remains to be seen, and we don't know if each of them will be assigned one tribe to "counsel" or whether they will 'float' between tribes wreaking havoc as necessary.

That was a good premire. The Island of the Idols is a good twist and should provide some interesting developments. The cast is rather typical, a couple of lawyers, ex-pro athlete, pro poker player, 'back woods' Kentuckian, various 'big-city' sophisticates..etc. but no ex-bikini models which is a bummer.

When one of the Survivors is picked to go to the Island and visit Sandra and Rob, they are always apprehensive as to what they are getting into. But when they come back to their tribe they always lie as to what they encountered, which is the right thing to do and probably the prods. tell them to do that so that each new visit is a surprise. Basically Sandra and Rob tell them to 'pull up their socks' and 'get with the program'. But last night when she answered the three questions correctly they were genuinely happy for her.

The one psycho lady should have been the one booted last night rather than the 'blindside' , but she can't survive much longer even if she's sent to visit Sandra and Rob.

It didn't take a genius to see, even early on, that Dan had 'creepy' tendencies.  Hard to tell who among the remaining 6 will take the million.


"PEOPLE has spoken to multiple people involved with the show’s production, who confirmed that the incident in question — which involved a member of the show’s production team — happened after an immunity challenge as Spilo and other contestants were getting into a boat to transport them back to the camp.

The incident was not caught on camera, but at least one other contestant witnessed it.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly published after the episode, Probst was asked to elaborate on the nature of the incident. He declined to give more details.

“The question is a fair and reasonable one,” Probst responded. “I’ve endeavored to be as forthcoming as possible with you regarding everything that has happened this season. In this situation, out of respect for privacy and confidentiality, I can’t say anymore.”

So Tommy wins the million. When it came down to the final 5 it looked likely, and when he made the final 3 and it was up to the jury to pick the winner he was a shoo-in.  For season 40, already filmed and will play in Feb., they got the winners from 20 past seasons to come back. 20 past winners competing for the added prize of 2 million should be epic !
