High Town on Starz

I might have to resubscribe when my Starz runs out at the end of the month. After the first ep last night ,  this doesn't look too bad. A big plus is that Riley Voelkel (see my Roswell post) plays a pole dancer.

I assumed that High Town was a fictional town, which it is, because if it weren't the residents wouldn't be too happy with its portrayal. And being located on Cape Cod near Hyannis Port and other 'high profile' places seemed unlikely in real life. Of course Provincetown is mentioned a lot and since scenes are shot there, there will be the usual influx of fans looking for filming locations.

Holy Hannah ! The role that Riley plays on High Town is about as far away in its "requirements" compared to her role on Roswell as you can imagine ! On one hand you can applaud her willingness to take on such a role, but on the other hand you can understand why a lot of actresses wouldn't do it.

They repeated ep 7 last night for some reason, so the season finale , ep 8, is next Sunday.
