This show was really good when it was on (ABC, I think). It only got one season and ended as a nail-biter but worth watching! Unfortunately they showed the 1st three episodes already but you can probably watch them at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

When an unexpectedly devastating hurricane strikes South Florida, a small town's inhabitants literally find their lives turned upside down. But for dedicated park ranger Russell Varon, a divorced father of two who recently married television reporter Larkin Groves, the storm proves to be merely a backdrop for something far more sinister. Always skeptical about the paranoid conspiracy theories of his shiftless brother-in-law, Dave, Russell may have to revise his thinking when a number of bizarre occurrences start taking place in his community.

And when it appears that the Sheriff, Tom Underlay, may somehow be involved, a series of personal alarms goes off for Russell and his family because the sheriff is married to Russell's ex-wife, Dr. Mariel Underlay, chief of staff at the local hospital and mother of Russell's two children.

This chilling drama comes from famed writer/executive producer Shaun Cassidy who previously worked on Cold Case, American Gothic and The Agency and multiple Emmy Award-winning director Thomas Schlamme of The West Wing, ER, and Sports Night fame. PILOT
Park ranger, Russell Varon, is forced to consider a conspiracy theory when a hurricane and a series of bizarre occurrences hit the town of Homestead, Florida.

Russell discovers a barely alive Air Force officer with strange wounds identical to those of his brother-in-law, Dave.

WATERSHED
Russell rushes to Jesse's aid, after he is knocked unconscious by a mysterious force.

ALPHA MALE
When a deadly flu virus spreads through Homestead, Sheriff Underlay may finally get the quarantine he's been asking for.

UNNATURAL SELECTION
Russell investigates a mysterious shooting death involving Sheriff Underlay.

THE HUNT
After finding an old Cuban refugee who says he lost his family to "the lights," Russell goes fishing to catch one of the mysterious luminescent beings.

FISH STORY
A good samaritan with suspicious motives picks up Larkin, after a car crash leaves the fate of her unborn baby uncertain.

THE CRADLE
A series of startling revelations occur when a baby is abandoned at Russell's ranger station.

THE DREDGE
Larkin becomes the prime suspect in a double murder and Mariel pleads with Underlay to dredge the bay to discover the identity of the body she claims to have seen.

ORIGIN OF SPECIES
Dave is abducted by a couple who want to learn what he knows about the circumstances surrounding the hurricane's aftermath.

US OR THEM
Russell confronts Mariel about the changes she's undergone since the hurricane and Jesse meets a beautiful but strange girl while on vacation.

POWER
Russell discovers Underlay has taken his children on an unscheduled vacation.

REDEMPTION
Underlay drifts between the past and present after he is shot by an unknown intruder, reliving the plane crash that led to his "rebirth."

ALL GOD'S CREATURES
The discovery of a mysterious creature lurking around the Varon home leaves Russell, Larkin and Dave in shock.

THE NEST
Kira searches for the truth about her father and Mariel hopes to find out what's happening to the people of Homestead.

THE FITTEST
Russell and Underlay reluctantly team up to catch two armed hybrids on the run.

THE KEY
Christina forces Mariel to perform an ultrasound to find out what's growing inside her womb.

RE-EVOLUTION
Russell and Dave discover the island where former CIA operative Eli Szura has been housing special hybrids.

THE SON ALSO RISES
Russell discovers that his job may be in jeopardy because of his investigation of the hybrids.


RUN AND GUN
As the storm rapidly approaches, Russell and Underlay try to uncover where Szura has hidden the hybrids.


ROUND UP
As the hurricane begins to hit Homestead, Russell and Underlay return and attempt to stop Eli Szura.


THE LAST WAVE GOODBYE
Pandemonium ensues as the hybrids continue their roundup of the humans during the hurricane.

I watched this when it was on...so sorry they cancelled it and rushed the ending episode.

I really liked this show and it made me mad that they cancelled it. Will it be out on DVD?

Caught some of the epi's yesterday.
Fun to watch Tyler Labine in his early acting career. I love his charater in Reaper as "Sock"!!

I too enjoyed the series. Therefore, it had to be canceled! :raincloud:
