Public Enemies
Emile had only one short scene during the first bank robbery. She and
the bank mgr. were taken as hostages then tied to a tree in the forest
and left unharmed.
Since the theater was full of Emile fans, we screamed, " Unhand her you filthy brute !"
Meanwhile
at the grocery check out line I notice that she and Pattinson are
showing up on the covers of several tabloids. Way to go Emilie !!!

Re: Public Enemies
Ooh, Ben and I were just trying to decide on a movie. This one sounds good. Though I'll have to sit on the side with the Roswelliian's who have a long memory. Our shoutout will be "Give her one for us, Dillinger!"

Re: Public Enemies
Emilie's character in real life outlived Dillinger by a looong ways. I don't normally like crime/criminals movies, but this one was a little different and was rather nostalgic in spots because even though it takes place before I was born, that area didn't change much later on, although it was filmed mostly in Wisc., and not Indiana.
The camera work was sort of annoying in spots.

Re: Public Enemies
I liked the movie...but it was looooong. Johnny Depp is a hoot. He was wearing black eyeliner (though not quite a Captain Jack look) . Not that he didn't look delicious wearing it (and doesn't he know it) but not quite the 30's gangster look.

Re: Public Enemies
It was fun recognizing some of the locations. The courthouse stuff was filmed in Madison, WI at the capitol building. I happen to be out for a walk with coworkers at lunch one day when they were filming. We couldn't get close enough to see anything much, but the cars they had parked in the street were great. Interesting that they had all the cars parked and extras walking the sidewalks in the background and you saw none of that in any of the shots.

Tell me about it. I worked 5 days as an extra on Recount....and you got to see me once....briefly....from afar in the final shot.
Of course, the producer, Michael Hausman showed a clip of a scene he did for the movie....they cut that out too.
