Philosophical ramblings about 2 1/2 men
You will recall how we sat in the bleachers overlooking the set during our WB tour at the '06 convention. I thought about that when watching the pilot episode from 2003. The CW airs 2 repeats a night at 6 pm which gives me something to watch other than local news which I gave up on years ago....
I noticed that in the pilot from 2003 which the CW repeated last night, that Jennifer Bini Taylor had a brief scene in the grocery store. That was a surprise, I didn't think she "went back that far" on the show since she now plays Charlie's "permanent" girlfriend in current episodes. But after my usual research I see that she has played 4 different characters on the show, but "Chelsea" is the best. She adds a touch of class to his string of girlfriends over the years but it's interesting to note how famous actresses have done that role over the seasons; Geri Ryan, Jenny McCarthy, Brook Shields, Alicia Witt, etc. and other less famous actresses became more famous after doing a turn as the girlfriend, April Bowlby being perhaps the best example of that "class".
And of course Melanie Lysinzky whose has been there since day one as Rose and even did a turn on The L Word a few seasons ago.
Then this morning while researching Jennifer Taylor, I watched some bloopers on YouTube. In one scene after repeatedly blowing his lines, Charlie turns to the audience sitting in the bleachers and says: "c'mon, you know the line ". The audience dutifully repeats it back to him...
Now I have to catch up with the latest eps online because Monday night is too crowded this season to catch it live.

Ah, several Emmy's and not all from 2 and a half men. I see I've got good taste.
