Ghost Hunters
Does anybody watch Ghost Hunters? It's such a weird experience for me 'cause their current headquarters is across the street from my old high school!

Re: Ghost Hunters
I don't actually "get" why anyone would be interested in this show?
No offense meant to anyone who thinks they're on to something here... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Ghost Hunters
I suppose if there was some connection to my past such as Momo has I might take a look. But otherwise I agree with Berry. I mean watching a fictional show about ghosts is one thing, but to pretend that there is some rational, real basis for anything they do or experience....sorry.... Re: Ghost Hunters
Actually, my sister knows one of the former investigators which is how we got tuned into it. GH are more debunkers. I never quite understood why they were even on the SciFi (SyFy - please dump this logo). We usually call them Ghost Busters. If it weren't for the local aspect, I'd be somewhere else.
However, I keep an open mind. From a scientific perspective, some of it is way too irrational. The EVP sessions are questionable at best, but the thermal imaging ... well, I'm more interested in that. If we can believe in aliens, parallel worlds, etc., then who knows ... ghosts may just be a parallel world connecting with our own (a la Fringe). Did I just say that?

Re: Ghost Hunters
I have only watched Ghost Whisper, which I don't get it, didn't the hubbie (former Agent Pierce of our beloved Roswell) die at the end of a season? How did they bring him back.....he seems like a normal human now, not a ghost......anyone watch it?
I do find the whole "ghost" thing fasinating, but I don't know if I believe in ghosts.......

Re: Ghost Hunters
I haven't watched Ghost Whisperer in a long time so I'm not sure about whether or not he's alive or not. I always thought he was a ghost interacting in the later seasons.
As for ghosts, I don't think most people believe in ghosts unless something unexplained happens to me. Now I could tell you some interesting stories ...

Re: Ghost Hunters
Yeah, I watch Ghost Whisperer only if it's convenient, ie, nothing else on, so I can't explain how JLH's husband "came back"....maybe it was a fan campaign ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Ghost Hunters
I can fill you in on Ghost Whisperer - Her husband, Jim, died in a car crash and his Ghost was watching the scene as this other guy...(don't remember his name so we'll call him random dude) was dying. He died and Jim jumped into his body. Random Dude woke up in the hospital with no memory of anything and then started remembering..random dude's life. Melinda followed him around trying to get him to remember her meanwhile her friends and family found this to be a strange reaction to the death of her husband. show almost lost me there...but I kept watching...Melinda and random dude spend time together and eventually Melinda gets into a life threatening situation where she is saved by random dude and -poof- he has jim's memories back...oh and conveniently she's pregnant from before Jim died so it's jim's baby. So now we have Melinda, Jim's baby and Jim living in the body of random dude (oh right, his name is sam). So her family and jim's think she moved on rather quickly. when she and the audience look at him we see Jim, but if he looks in a mirror or when others see him he looks like Sam (very quantum leep). Yeah, I HATE this storyline. I do like where the show is going now, love their kid. This season they skipped forward 5 years and the kid is 5 and Jim is now a Dr. It's funny that this storyline was too convoluted for me, I mean it's a show about a woman who talks to ghosts for pete's sake, but seriously....I am still watching the show....
Anyway, used to watch a bit of Ghost Hunters. It was fun. I like the way they disprove haunting. I doubt the toys they play with provide any real evidence, but hey who knows. After you've seen a few episodes it gets a bit old. It was fun when they went to different historic sites, even if just to see the site and hear the stories about it. I have come to determine there is a lot about this world and possible others that I will never know or understand, so ghosts..sure, who knows. :)

I like to watch the "historical site" Ghost Hunters too! Enjoy seeing the sites and who really knows if there are ghosts out there! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
