A new film on DVD you might want to check out
A movie from 1992 has just been released on DVD that I think you guys might enjoy seeing. It is called “Where The Day Takes You” and it is an excellent movie with a great cast. (Full disclosure here: I am slightly prejudiced about the film because I got my second screen credit for it, it was the first movie that I actually worked on the set, and I like the fact that the director thanked my folks at the end of the film) However, the film got great reviews when it was released and did good business in the limited releae that it got. The story is about a group of street kids living on the streets of Hollywood and the film stars: Sean Astin, Lara Flynn Boyle, Balthazar Getty, Ricki Lake, Dermot Mulroney and Will Smith (in what I believe is his first film role.) David Arquette, Adam Baldwin, Kyle MacLachlan, Nancy McKeon, Alyssa Milano,
Christian Slater and Laura San Giacomo fill out the cast. I watched it tonight for the first time in about ten to fifteen years and it is still a timely story with interesting characters. If any of you happen to pick it up, I would love to know what you think of it. Also if you are a fan of “Prison Break” there is a future member of the cast in a tiny role at the beginning of the film and Ipractically guarantee you won’t recognize him but would have fun going back afterwards and seeing what he looked like here.

Craig just put it at the front of the list so we should have it soon.

Finally today I get to see this! Craig forgot and put 2 other movies in front of it.
The movie is done very well and what a hoot to watch all those actors And OMG Robert Knepper! I didn't make the connection right away but Craig said his name outloud and told me think Prison Break and Heros.
The movie has a very important and still valid message. And we ran the credits at the end and saw C.G.'s name.

I agree AR, the message of this movie is, if anything, more valid today than it was when we made it. I know that some of it is hard to watch but I think it is a very entertaining film.
Also, I admit that when I watched it recently, I didn't recognize Robert Knepper and had to go back to his scene after I saw his name in the credits.
I think the movie was made for a little over 3 million, can you imagine what just the salaries of the cast would be today??? A few more bucks than when we made it :D
