This Tuesday at 10/9c – theoretically well after impressionable eyes
have gone to bed – CBS presents its annual broadcast of the ‘Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show,’ held at the Lexington Avenue Armory in New York City.
If you are a red-blooded male, you’ve likely already got this CBS
special penciled in for a look-see. But for the rest of you, here are
five reasons why you might want to say no to the rival networks’
Dancers and Losers, forget ‘The Forgotten,’ and instead check out these angels.

Like Children, Lingerie Models Should Be Seen and Not Heard
If you caught VS superstar Marisa Miller guesting on CBS’ ‘Gary Unmarried‘ last week, you might fear that she will again (groan)
attempt to act. But having attended the taping myself, I can assure you
that she walks the glittery, V-shaped runway without uttering a single
line of dialogue, save for maybe a mouthed “I love you” to the adoring
crowd.
In Addition to Ts and As, There Are Peas
The Black Eyed Peas get this panty party started with a rousing
performance, then return for an encore. Fergie herself gives the
professional mannequins a run for the money by showing a whole lotta
leg. (Take that, Atlanta stripper gal.)
The Improbable Physics Alone Would Blow the ‘Big Bang‘ Boys’ Minds
Even horndogs Wolowitz and Koothrappali would be too busy calculating
how these stick-thin models[where do they get this 'stick thin' ? They are professionals at what they do and that's the way they should look. You might as well complain that football players are 'excessively large'. Jeez, get a life ! ] manage to remain upright while
counterbalancing massive wings and other oversized accessories to
realize the ladies are wearing virtually nothing else. Seriously, my
ticket to the show covered more square inches than the typical outfit
on display.
Oh Baby, It’s Heidi Klum!
Talk about your red-hot mamas. Just weeks after giving birth to her and Seal’s fourth child, VS vet Heidi Klum walked the runway in a curve-hugging corset. If only the just-wrapped season of ‘Project Runway‘ had been half as compelling.
Background Dancers Need Love, Too
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is, to say the least, an exercise in
optical overload, between the underdressed models, the overly energetic
Peas and the ever-changing stage backdrop. So I had to feel for the
background dancers who do their best to establish themes ranging from
“autumn” to “pink” to… well, something involving a train station, all
the while knowing that all eyes are undoubtedly trained elsewhere. Here
is a chance to give these stalwart souls their due by appreciating
their footwork - should CBS’ edit bother to capture even a few seconds
of it.
