Re: 24
Mary Lynn Rajskub was on Leno last night, She is quite the bomb when dolled up but seems quirky as heck, although some of that is probably part of her stand-up comedienne act.

In season eight of 24, Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) becomes a New Yorker! No, Jack's not turning into Eustace Tilley or anything (can you imagine?), but 24 is heading to NYC next season. E! News confirms from sources at Fox that "24 will be set in New York next season." But,
unlike Ugly Betty, which picked up sticks and moved the entire
production to the Big Apple, the 24 production is only taking an
occasional excursion to the new city, the same way True Blood shoots in
Los Angeles but visits Louisiana to shoot on location once or twice a
season (or how ER sometimes visited Chicago for Lake Michigan shots).
According to Fox, 24 "may travel to New York from time to time for some
limited filming, but the production will continue to call L.A. its
home." As previously reported, Anil Kapoor recurs in season eight as a high-powered Middle Eastern diplomat.

Re: 24
Katee Sackhoff will appear in the 2 day premiere of 24.
24 begins Sunday Jan. 17th with a 2hr premiere and continues on Monday Jan 18 with another 2hrs.
I've heard from a reliable source that this may be the last season. And, according to this person...the best of all. Hope he is right. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: 24
It's been a very long time since there's been a season of "24." Does anyone even care? Well, I guess we are about to find out.
If you are interested, the last hour of season 7 will be repeated before Human Target and the Series Premiere of Season 8 begins right after Human Target.
I've got two reasons this time to want to watch. One: Curiousity killed the cat. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I've just got to know where this show goes from here... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
And,
Two:Glenn Morshower
Last August I met Glenn at a SciFi Con in Dallas and got to talk to him about "24" and being a Texan. You see Glenn graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas.
He's delightful to talk to and very funny. And he asked about certain places he used to go to in his youth...yes they were are still there we said and that seemed to make him happy. He said he wasn't allowed to talk about the season coming up but he did feel that it was the best yet and hoped we would watch it and let him know.
So, who is Glenn Morshower?

Re: 24
I think Glenn Morshower is super. I think Freddy Prince Jr. is less so. I've heard rumors that they are grooming Freddy to take over from Jack. That would not be anything I would be interested in watching.
But I am planning on tuning in tonight and seeing what's up. As you said...cat...curiosity.

I hadn't heard that but lots of things could have happened between August and now. Glenn said that he personally thought that this might be either the last or the next to last season. So we will just have to watch and see.
Into the second hour now. The new update CTU looks really cool!

Won't say anything since I know the Pacific folks are still watching....It was a decent start...looking forward to tomorrow night.
And Chloe's facial expressions...[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: 24
The show is great as ever but the character/plotline that is really lacking is that dumb woman Katee Sackhoff is playing. She gives that loser blackmailer the keys to her home?? And tries to pay him off. Oh, that's going to end well. :P
Plus it seems awfully reminiscent of something they did before.

Re: 24
Annie Wersching looks like she's going to have a major plot arc this season. That's good. I can't see Freddie taking over from Kiefer. It will probably end before that would happen.

Re: 24
I'm loving Annie's plotline. Yikes, I jumped out of my skin when she did what she had to to get the cuff off that guy! Holey Moley! (I'm one of the easily duped who thought she had hacked his whole hand off...was relieved later to find it was a thumb.

Re: 24
Man, Renee (Annie) is going to be spared nothing! Of course, she asks for it when she makes decisions like she does.
Love that Freddy Prinze has a role but not much of one....let's just keep it like that.
That foreign leader is not being very statesmanlike...seems to be over-reacting just a titch.
Well, I'm still along for the ride on this show. But please, somebody, make the Katee Sackhoff storyline STOP...it's beyond stupid. Unless she's setting them up.

Re: 24
It finally hit me where I had seen the actor who plays Katee Sackhoff's low-life ex. His name is Clayne Crawford and for 2 episodes of Roswell he played a guitar playing ex-boyfriend of Maria that just drove Michael crazy.
Knew I didn't like him for some subliminal reason.

Re: 24
Wow! Lotsa action this week. Poor little Chloe. She knows how to fix things right when all the communications go out. But will they listen?? good thing Renee gave her that helpful piece of advice..."Do whatever you have to" . You could just see her thinking " What would Jack do?"
Thank goodness the annoying parole officer has been dealt with...but I did not see that ending coming. Always knew there was a mole but....

Re: 24
I love it when Chloe gets angry. She is so protective of Jack. So yay for her not taking any crap from anyone. She should be running the place.
Yeah...the mole thing...didn't expect that but it does make sense now.

I think it IS the right time to cancel the show. A big screen version seems like a fine idea for continuing the franchise. Look forward to what they come up with.

Re: 24
I've really enjoyed this show from the very beginning. But this season...has been a bit of a disappointment. So yes, it is the right thing to do and good for them for making the decision. A movie may be a better venue for 24. So, I can't wait to see what they come up with. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Re: 24
I enjoyed this week's episode. I like the way Jack and Renee worked together. Maybe they will let Jack have a happy ending...sailing off into the sunset with Renee. If they leave him in the finale dead on the ground I am really going to hate this show.

If they do make a movie he'll have to be alive for that....then maybe he can sail off into the sunset at the end....

Re: 24
They can go be Gramma and Grampa to his daughter's child. Sitting on the porch swing, sipping lemonade and playing checkers.
That'd last about half an hour. :D

Re: 24
Still has the action going....of course, this week they took 2 hours to tell it. But I'm glad the Head of State who handed himself over to the terrorists got what he deserved for such stupidity. Could see how broken up Jack was about it though...he hates to lose. Dana sure can give the evil eye. I was pretty down on her this season, but now that she friended me on Facebook and told us its her birthday today, I'm going to give her some slack.
Renee got props from the President! Good for her.
