Ice Quake
Did anyone see it last Saturday ? Brendon Fehr played the male lead with some unknown, to me, actress playing his wife. It fit the usual Sy Fy "apocalyptic natural disaster" theme that Sy Fy likes, in addition to the assorted monsters and "evil entities released from an ancient tomb" themes. I watched it off and on for the first hour....UNM was playing NM State so that was a priority, and nothing seemed to be happening so basketball won out. At least UNM smoked State.... Re: Ice Quake
I missed about twenty minutes of it. Mr. Man's fingers slid over the remote too slow and I caught a glimpse of Brendan and he knew he was doomed.
The movie was "eh" but it was nice to see Brendan play a husband and a dad. Not his greatest acting in this movie but I hope it paid the bills and something better is down the pike.

I watched parts of it too. Pretty lame and typical of the SyFy movies. Somehow I end up watching a lot of these types of movies.

I saw it too! It was nice to see him on the tube! He isn't old enough to have two kids and one getting ready to go to college (although I know Shiri played a mom of a 16 year old).
Yeah, typical SciFi type movie!

Re: Ice Quake
Well, he does actually have 2 kids but they are little ones not off to college yet.
I didn't know this movie was on till it was over. Might try to catch a rerun. Brendon was so nice to us all at the Bowlathon.

Re: Ice Quake
Yep! I watched it 'til the bitter end. Someone, anyone please .
I'm beggin' ya'!
However, with that said, it's always nice to see a former Roswellian on screen! Which begs the question ... has Jason Behr retired?

Re: Ice Quake
Not exactly. He's made 2 pilots for tv shows that were supposed to be big...major networks, good cast. But neither one of them was picked up.......yet. In one he was going to be from a Kennedy-like family in New England. In one he was going to be a lawyer.
He has also made a bunch of independent films and low interest Scifi type stuff.
Bill Sadler always said that he tried to tell them all about the "specialness" of being on a tv series that was well liked. They thought everything they did would be like that. By now, I would guess, reality has set in.

Re: Ice Quake
Brendon's kids would both be toddlers or younger....one a baby and one a toddler [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ? He was quite gracious at the Bowl-A-Thon. Jennifer says to him, "You're a really good actor Brendon". He says, "I try to always do my best."

Re: Ice Quake
I watched most of it, think I missed the very beginning. I love disaster movies, especially those from the 70s. At least this one didn't have weird, mutant spiders or something. I liked seeing Brendan play a dad.

Re: Ice Quake
Yesterday on one of the Showtime channels Brendon was in another movie from 2008 called "The Other Side of the Tracks". It was apparently a direct to cable production. I watched only the last ~50 minutes so maybe my confusion results from not seeing the beginning. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The role didn't provide him with much chance to act. It was filmed in Connecticut out in the country with a lot of trees and old houses. I can't explain the plot other than he was still mourning the death of his girl friend in a railroad accident 10 years earlier and there were a lot of flashbacks and/or timeline switching in a confusing manner. Shirley Knight who played someone's mother was the only other recognizable actor, although the guy that played Brendon's worthless but 'loveable' sidekick I have seen in similar roles.....

Re: Ice Quake
Based on the number of times shown on various cable movies, I must say that Jason in Skinwalkers is his finest work.
