Owen Wilson
Well this isn't exactly rumor mill, because the truth is out that Owen Wilson tried to kill himself. I just don't understand Hollywoodsometimes and what it does to people. An article in Entertainment Weekly said he was going through a "difficult time" after the break-up with Kate Hudson. He is supposedly depressed about being 38 and unmarried and no kids. He has canceled his appearance in the upcoming movie project with Ben Stiller, "Tropic Thunder."
He is also scheduled to do a movie with Jennifer Aniston, but it was not said
whether that movie was still a go.

Re: Owen Wilson
I think it's so sad too. He's released a statement to the media asking them to please leave him alone during this difficult time and yet he was on the cover of every tabloid this wekk. i read the one in us magazine (my salon has a subscription...I don't waste money on that stuff ) of course, you have to take everything they say with a grain of salt but they claim he's had a heroine addiction for a long time. He's just really good at hiding it because he's such a good actor. It just goes to show you that money can't buy happiness.

Re: Owen Wilson
It is really sad. Hopefully he can get the help he needs and the media will leave him alone. Of course, it is a Catch 22 for the celebs. They want their privacy but they also want to be in the news too ...
I do enjoy most of his movies. If you haven't seen Night at the Museum or something like that, it is well worth the watch, IMHO! Cute and family-friendly! Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are in this movie!

I just don't understand Hollywood sometimes and what it does to people.
After all of the years that I spent working in and around the
entertainment industry, I don't think anyone who hasn't been an active
participant in the industry can get it. After 20 years of involvement
in the insanity and having been acquainted with a few celebrities, I
know I still don't really understand what it is like to be a "star".
I hope Owen Wilson is able to get the help he apparently needs to get things in his life straightened out.

Re: Owen Wilson
According to an interview I saw with an addiction specialist MD, Wilson's actions were typical of cocaine withdrawal. Cutting the wrists in a non-lethal manner is common in withdrawal . He said it was a plea for attention. If they really want to commit suicide they use a gun or poison.

Re: Owen Wilson
I saw that he was back making his first public appearance in awhile. He looked good, well-rested, healthy. I hope he is able to pick up where he left off, if that's what he wants for himself.
