BB 13 Week 4 , day 1....Sunday
Of course the nominations were already known for several days so putting Adam and Dom on the block, again, last night was "old news". And since we know that Brendon won the POV, he will not exercise it on Wednesday and the vets (except for Dani) will realize their goal of booting Dom on Thursday. So there you have the reality for the next 4 days. Thank goodness for live feeds.
As for the rest of last night's show, the Hasselhoff segment was lame. It's true that in the past they have "celebrities" hyping their latest movies or shows on BB. But they didn't actually bring them into the house. If it had been someone like Heidi Klum or Stana Katic, or Fillion or Neil Patrick Harris or Cobie Smulders, or even Michael C. Hall, the "various" genders in the audience would have been suitably "aroused". But Hasselhoff...? c'mon.... :|
On this morning's "Morning recap", the moderator Super Fan Missy, and her Skype interviewee, "Juicy" hoped that Thursday's HOH competition would be an endurance comp. because they haven't had one since the initial "banana hang" on the first show. They theorized that since no one will have been on slop since last week, they will all have sufficient energy to tackle a knock-down, drag-out good 'ol endurance comp. These can sometimes run for several hours before the winner emerges, so they end the network show with the results hanging...but luckily we can watch the end on the live feeds. The best one last year lasted for over 3 hours, well into the night but we saw the winner on the live feed.
So now it's back to the live feeds this morning....this period until Wednesday is usually rather uneventful since they already know what the strategic situation is but....Dani may be prancing around in her bikini as she did yesterday afternoon, so all is not lost....

Using the "flash back" function on Super Pass, we can return to yesterday at about 1 PM BB time and actually see Dani in her bikini fixing lunch. Who ever dreamed up this function is a genius of the highest order

'Big Brother 13' Recap: Hoff in the House
Sunday, July 24, 2011

So much has been going on inside the Big Brother 13 house this weekend that it's hard to get excited about this episode all about Rachel's HoH and special guest David Hasselhoff. The scheming and plotting has reached new levels, and Wednesday's episode is sure to be a hot one, but for now, it's still The Rachel Show.
It's hard to give her a pass. Everyone in the house has mentioned how mean and arrogant Rachel is, and watching her have another week in power is like pouring gasoline on the fire. The only saving grace of the gloating is that when she comes out with her HoH key, all the other HGs hide and then attack Rachel with pillows. OK, that's petty funny.
The Campaign Against Floaters is a Lie
As usual, Brendon and Rachel constantly say that they want to get rid of the floaters, and even though they acknowledge that Kalia and Lawon are "super floaters," they still don't want to target them. This illustrates my problem with their game: hey try to turn the entire house against floaters, but Brendon and Rachel never actually get floaters out of the game. They're only saying it so that, if someone else wins HoH, they can try to get that person to do the useless dirty work of evicting a floater. Rachel and Brendon know that it would be a waste of their HoH to get rid of Lawon, but if anyone else is in charge, Lawon would suddenly be the biggest threat in the house.
The Luxury Competition
A mystery man (who is the un-famous David Hasselhoff from the new CBS show Same Name) gives he HGs the rules that they will get clues and must guess an international celebrity. They don't learn the mystery man's name, because that would give it away.
The first clue is three bars of soap and a pair of opera glasses. Jordan,, whose mind works like an M.C. Escher staircase, somehow gets "Bay" from the soap and "Watch" from the glasses and immediately guesses that it's the Hoff. Wow, scientists need to study her brain, because it's right, but we still get to go through the whole game before finding that out.
Brendon guesses Michael C. Hall, mostly because he wants to meet Dexter.
Adam guesses Ricky Martin because he thinks it's a soap star who's also a singer, which is actually a good guess.
Next, a knight holding a lifeguard's preserver walks through the house, which should give it away.
Jeff guesses Mike Knight (the Hoff's Knight Rider character), and then, for some reason, Christopher Walken.
Rachel guesses Keira Knightly, because she's an idiot, and Porsche guesses Brian McKnight.
Dominic guesses John Stamos and Markie Mark, for no reason.
Next they go outside for the big reveal as David Hasselhoff is sitting in KITT. Everyone freaks out, pretending like the Hoff is actually more important than he really is. Jordan wins and picks Jeff, Shelly and Kalia to watch he premiere of Same Name with her in the HoH room.
As expected, Rachel immediately starts crying and complaining about all the drama (of which there is none other than hers) and how mean it was for Jordan not to pick her because she's the HoH. It's ugly, petty, whiny B.S., and I have no time for it. If Rachel's goal was to change America's opinion of her this season, she's absolutely terrible at it.
The Nominations
Do you remember how last week Adam and Dominic were nominated and the original plan was to evict Dominic? Well, now they're up again and the "plan" is to get rid of Adam because Daniele has successfully wooed Dominic to be on their side.
Who Won the Power of Veto?>>
Or at least that's the plan as of the end of this episode. But throughout the weekend, that changed dramatically, because Daniele really stepped up her campaign to split up Brenchel from Jeff and Jordan, and even though this episode made it look likely, the plan backfired big time.

Some fan theories can be hilarious. Rachel being and/or faking pregnancy.....

Emotionally, that house is WORSE for a pregnant lady than a theme park ride plus the comps are often way too physical or stressful.
Does Brendan get mad at HER for screwing up their game or being pregnant in the first place? Cuz, you know, with that PhD, he's absolutely smart enough to figure out a way that she could've gotten that way all by her lonesome.
No way do I want her to be pregnant at this juncture, even if it DOES get at least her out of the house and off of my feeds....in a real life way, I just don't think it's good for her or them right now with as toxic as they can be, but I'll keep an eye out, too, Reecy!!
My guess is that if she is, and the BB producers find out she is, she's gone. Liability for injury/loss of baby is too high. comps, "have not slop" etc just too risky for a developing fetus and if one cared about their baby they'd be out of there in a heart beat for that reason. The nutritional situation always concerns me. but for an adult body, and the adult chooses their diet, they do have vitamins to take but many don't take them... no, I think BB would kick her out and I truly hope she'd have the brains and care to take herself out or tell them about it the minute she knows. Little bodies develop very early on, or can be developmentally damaged from early on. Remember the drug thalidimide, or the measles caution, all of that is first trimester and the fetal alcohol syndrome is also from conception and does not always require a great deal of alcohol for some very permanent damage.
ahhhh see, I didn't even think of this angle. (liability) thanks!

Re: BB 13 Week 4 , day 1....Sunday
As expected Jeff didn't use the POV (to be shown on Wednesday) so Adam and Dom remain on the block and as this article says Dom will be voted off, everyone thinks.
There is a slight chance that the newbies will over come their fear of the vets enough to line up with Daniele and vote for Adam instead...a slight chance. Also as the article says , the next HOH comp. will see all three Golden Key holders being eligible to play. The common feeling in the house is that it will be a very physical comp. in which case Dani is a real threat. She is in far better physical shape than any of the women and all the men except Jeff and Brendon. But if it's an endurance type comp. rather than brute strength then she has a good chance of beating them too. If she does win HOH the vets will be running for the tall grass and will be forced to try and form alliances with the newbies. This is unlikely because the newbies will see their chance to ally with Dani and start booting the other vets who stand in their way to win the $500k.
'Big Brother 13' Spoilers: Was the Veto Used in Week 3?

Sadly, my Game of Thrones week on Big Brother 13 is coming to an end. I decided that this week the HGs resembled the characters of the brilliant HBO drama based largely on apparent fractures between the two primary warring couples: Brendon and Rachel (the evil and powerful Lannisters) and Jeff and Jordan (the noble Starks). The problem is that, while Game of Thrones featured the two in a brutal power struggle, the Big Brother 13 couples have reached an uneasy peace.
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 13 spoilers.
Brendon won the Power of Veto and did NOT use it.
This may not sound epic, but it is. Over the weekend Daniele was pushing extremely hard for Brendon and Rachel to use the PoV and backdoor Jeff, but instead, it had the opposite effect. Brendon and Rachel decided to tell Jeff and Jordan about this plan and solidify their final four alliance. That also means Daniele has gone from a silly fly on the wall to public enemy number one in a matter of days.
It also means Daniele's closest ally, Dominic, has to suffer for her misdeeds. Originally the idea was to evict Adam and have Dominic work with the veterans. But because of Daniele's power play, they plan to evict her closest buddy, Dominic. It's a real shame because he did absolutely nothing wrong other than trust Dani, and she destroyed his game for him.
The situation has also caused a lot of steam to build up in the Big Brother 13 house, and a huge explosion seems eminent. Jeff is livid at Daniele for turning on the veterans so early and is just waiting for an opportunity to go off on her.
Meanwhile, the newbies are mostly scurrying for cover. Shelly is playing a strange game where she's pledged allegiance to the power couples and seemingly wants them to win more than she wants to win herself, which is offensive to my competitive spirit. Everyone doesn't trust Lawon, but nobody wants to waste the time or energy to evict him. Kalia seems to be playing every side she can while maintaining no true allegiance. Porsche has gone from insignificant to invisible and Adam is just sitting back and letting Daniele sink Dominic.
The aftermath of Daniele's actions will most likely run into next week, and with everyone assuming the HoH competition will be endurance, I'm hoping and praying Daniele wins it and really causes the other veterans to crap their pants. If not, I hope a newbie wins and is willing to nominate the power couples, because otherwise, they're just going to run the table and dominate the season like they've been doing so far. Daniele's game may be erratic and crazy, but I hope she serves as a freedom fighter and opens the newbie's eyes to the injustices their evil veteran overlords are perpetrating on them.
The truth is that Brendon and Rachel and Jeff and Jordan are definitely together to the end, and they keep promising everyone else (Shelly, Porsche, Kalia, etc) that the veterans have their back. The problem is that this song-and-dance can only last a few more weeks. If you want to play just to finish in fifth or sixth place, this is a great strategy. But if you want to win, you need to line up behind Daniele and rise up against the fat cats in power. We need a revolution, and Dani is the only person willing to step up and be a leader of the resistance.
