Red Tails....
I don't know when this is coming out but the trailers look fantastic. About the best CGI I've ever seen. Bryan Cranston plays an AAC Col.

Re: Red Tails....
Yep, WWII. There's been a lot of documentaries made about them but this one has the "big guns", Lucas, behind it and some pretty big actors. Luckily there are still plenty of flyable P-51's around for the 'real' flying scenes. Of course the combat scenes have to be CGI, but they look great.
One thing to look out for is if the movie covers their operations in Sicily and Italy before they moved north to provide bomber escort for missions over Germany, which is what is shown in the trailers. During their Sicily/Italy missions they flew P-51C models, rather than the later D models shown in the trailers. There are very few flyable C models still left, they were produced in much smaller numbers than the D. So if they do show scenes from their Sicily/Italy missions, and they show D models, that is wrong. We'll see.....

Reading this history, I see that they flew P-39s for a short time, I don't know where that was, probably in the Mediterranean missions, but that was rather a slap in the face in a sense because AAC pilots had rejected the P-39 earlier for any serious combat due to it's inadequacies as a fighter. However the Russians loved them, and got a lot of them from the U.S., because they were very effective as anti-tank attack planes, due to the 37 mm cannon in the nose, unique among American fighters.

Okay.....enough rambling.....don't get me started.....

Re: Red Tails....
They did have the date posted at the end of the clip of when it was going to be at the theaters but I can't remember what it was. I don't have time to rewatch it right now.
I just logged on to the computer to print out a recipe for tonight ... zucchini boats ... and thought I would check out Blu! Gotta run though! Oh I also made AR's Hot Stuff too!!!
