Skyfall

The new James Bond film....on Nov. 13th I get to see a free showing courtesy of my HMO as thanks for staying with them in the ongoing dispute with the Dr. group that pulled out of coverage. But I've been with that HMO for 30 years but only been using the Dr. group for 5 years so it was a no-brainer. And they have already signed me up with a new provider much closer to my house. :D

Free, nice score. Movie prices are steep. I'm looking forward to seeing it!

Saw it this morning. I would say it's one of the better Bond films, how to exactly rate it I don't know but it's right up there. There were several scenes that gave me a vibe of Blade Runner, Game of Thrones, and even Ice Road Truckers. However, a less sophisticated viewer may not see it that way. 8)

One change is that "Bond girls" don't have as much of a "traditional role" , and don't figure into the plot as much although there is one plot change/addition that will figure into future movies, as well as one other big change. That's all I can say......but if you like Bond films at all then I would recommend you go see it.

Good to know. This weekend, maybe.

I saw it Saturday. Good film, and kept my attention. The opening chase scene was almost worth the price of admission. I liked almost everything about this movie. Like most action movies there might be found a scene or two that defy logic and reality but its still good. Great actors and a great director in Sam Mendes.
