Best written TV series

Judging by the 16 shows that I've watched out of these 25, I'd say it's pretty accurate.

Pretty good list. There are a few on the list that I didn't watch.

I know, I sipped The Sopranos because I didn't think I wanted to watch a bunch of violence...but maybe I should have given it a chance.

The Sopranos did have violence occasionally but not that often and it wasn't too graphic. Most often it was a beat down, sometimes a 9 mm to the head, but all in all not nearly as graphic as Spartacus and Game of Thrones. The interplay between the characters and the dichotomy of them (some of them) trying to live a normal life while being supported by crime and deception was what made it fascinating.

I don't see how it's possible to rank them from best to worst as he seems to have done. There's too much variation to be comparable.

Roswell did not make their list??!! Color me stunned.

West Wing is another one I didn't watch but probably should have. Seems like I would have enjoyed it. Martin Sheen has always been a favorite actor to me.

I watched The Sopranos when they reaired on A&E. I enjoyed it! Agree with Banjo's assessment of the violence!

Oh and Hill Street Blues was a fave of hubby and me/I! Never know which to use!

Of course you have to realize Penny, that the A&E version was censored at least for the language, I can guarantee you that without ever seeing the A&E version.
