New summer reality shows

I watched the premiere and there was something strange about it so haven't decided to watch again, but the "strangeness" came about because I wasn't sure if it was a real reality show or scripted in some manner. This article confirms my suspicions.

This one shows more promise.

But if production is intervening too much it will lose credibilty. But to be fair the duo is placed in more dangerous situations than those on Survivor or The Amazing Race , by a long shot. After watching two episodes it seems to me that their priority should be to make shoes/sandals first before worrying about food and water (it always rains a lot) because they can hardly walk anywhere without stepping on something bad.
