Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
The last one they showed was the one where the high school girl called Cameron a "bitch-whore" and she dutifully repeated it to John after applying the hideous eye shadow. That part makes me laugh; and the other girl jumped off the roof. That part not so much...

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
I'd say awesome but I think after the finale being ever so awesome...it just didn't pack any where near the same punch.

I was surprised to learn on the commentary on the DVDs that the "finale" last season wasn't written as anything other than just another episode. It was just a coincidence that this ended up being the final episode of the season when the writer's strike shut down the show for the year.
Oh John! What have you done to your hair?
You should see him on the interviews on the DVD...with a shaved head...I almost didn't recognize him at first

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
The new season is off to a good start but it went in a different direction than I would have predicted, but no less interesting. I had heard about a new Terminator showing up, but didn't connect the red haired, bad eye makeup woman to her being a T1000 until the final scenes.
One minor jump the shark situation is when they moved back into their semi-burned house. No one noticed ? Cops, fire dept., insurance company ?.....hello ? Anyone ? Since when does a burned house, to any degree, just sit there unnoticed ?
John's haircut is okay. Needed to get away from the "boy band look" .
Also you will recall in T2 when Arnold jumped the Harley off the overpass into the L.A. River (which would have destroyed the Harley's suspension and pitched him on his head...but never mind) ....and there they were in the L.A. River again, where Cameron flipped the Cherokee over. A nice "homage" to the movie. Is there really that much graffiti on the banks now ? Run over there and check that out CG....

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
I have a question; You do not have to ever been pregnant to answer it.......I think.
On tonight's episode Busy Phillips appeared for the second time. Last week she looked authentically pregnant, but this week I'm sure of it.
If you saw tonight's ep I need say nothing further for you to render an opinion. If you didn't see it there's no sense in elaborating, but the ep will be available online, probably next week.
In case you don't know who Busy Phillips is:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
But here's a couple of questions:
1. If she really is that pregnant why did they cast her?
2. Why would she accept the role in that condition?
3. Is there some reason that having her character be that pregnant is relevant to the story ? So far, I see no indication of that but she does appear in one more episode so maybe there will be a reason...?
I await your responses....

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
So Busy Phillips showed up again, still pregnant, and was smart enough not to tip off the Terminator as to where John lives, but otherwise her pregnancy as yet plays no significance...
I will admit that TSCC is the program I most look forward to each week, so am super-critical in judging scenes. Last night I didn't like the way they had the red-hair T-1000 morph from being the cop to being "herself" again. She just switched instantly from one to the other rather than doing the silvery "oozing" like Robert Patrick did in T2, and even she did in earlier episodes. Of course she couldn't have done the oozing while walking through the busy lobby where she did instantly switch but she could have done it later in private. I got the impression they took a shortcut to save CGI costs, or something. Anyway, the last few episodes look really good. Now if they can just convince Fox to not cancel it...

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
Ok, I totally did not even think about that being Busy Phillips. But yes, she's very pregnant. And...unless I've got things mixed up she's the girlfriend of Roswell alum...Colin Hanks... :D
Yeah, red-head T1000 morph drove me crazy. But yes episodes are great. Fox would be crazy to cancel this...any bets?

Don't know who her boyfriend is, but she is/was pregnant in real life so someone is responsible.

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
Even though I read S's above post at the time, it came as a surprise to me last night when they said the new season starts in Feb. That's a pretty fast "turn around" , although they probably have already started shooting S3.
They keep adding new "layers" now that we see that Riley has come back from the future too, to be John's girlfriend, to what end we don't yet know.
I wonder if the upcoming T4 movie can measure up. T:TSCC has the best cast.

Re: Terminator:The Sarah Chronicles
While the last episode of the season, last night, wasn't exactly a
cliff-hanger in the usual sense, ie, no one was in imminent danger of
being killed, nevertheless it was quite intriguing with the teenage
John Conner traveling 9 years into the future and meeting his future
self and Weaver the T-1000 that had come back to the present to
ostensibly help Sky-Net get started now seems to be working against
that goal even before she went "up-time" with the young John, but
disappeared before Derek and the other humans, along with Cameron [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] confronted John in the bunker.
Of
course the usual time travel paradoxes are again in play because if
Derek was killed in last weeks ep, in the present, but is alive 9 years
hence, and John sees him alive "again" with relief (Derek is John's
uncle you will recall).....then you see the problem... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
But
still, it remains at the top of my list for "must see" viewing, along
with 24, the latter being almost too exciting at times.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Terminator:
Salvation comes out next month I think. I've heard that it doesn't
follow the exposition of the first three movies very closely, let alone
the TV series, which does attempt to do so in the larger aspects. Some of it was filmed in/around Albq., and some down near Las Cruces where there is more desolate desert scenes.
