This sounds pretty good. From the trailers I wasn't sure if it was only werewolves or maybe vampires too, which didn't seem likely since the SyFy chan. already has werewolves and vampires, and ghosts, on Being Human.

I wasn't that impressed with Laura on Smallville, but I guess I could give this a chance.

I liked her in "V" , didn't see Smallville..also saw her in Haven and in "Ted", the movie.

Lost Girl and Being Human started the new season without major surprises but Bitten looks like it will be pretty good. The CGI wolves are rather cheesy but Laura does a good job. It's interesting to note that they have to take off their clothes and hide them before "turning". This is a good thing if you think about it. Every time they turned, any clothes would be shredded leaving them in an embarrassing condition when they came back to "human". Yet this obvious fact is never addressed in Twilight, True Blood , and Being Human, although they are nude when returning in True Blood and Being Human, but what happened to their clothes is never shown. But in Bitten they simply retrieve their clothes and get dressed. Laura demonstrated the whole process quite well in the opening scenes...  

I agree about the poor CGI wolf scenes. It would be better just to have dogs running around the woods. But I also must admit the Being Human wolf is pretty bad too. However in Being Human the wolf isn't on screen as often so it is not as distracting maybe. The only other thing I was thinking is why hide your clothing in an alley instead of the edge of the woods? All three of the Monday SyFy shows seemed to have a lot of sex so it seems they are not geared toward family viewing. Laura Vandervoort seems like a good choice for the role.
