BB day 3/8
The live feeds are working well. Last night on BBAD the TVGN channel was having audio problems. Also, the HGs were out of control, dancing, yelling, etc. so I didn't watch long. This morning with the cold light of day impinging on reality, things have settled down, but of course some of the 'divas' and 'party animals'....in their own minds, are still in bed. And now we have 'Broadway Danny Rose', aka Frankie, as one HOH and 'The Animal' , hunting guide from TX as the other HOH.
Quad view:
Lot of bathroom action in the morning:
Donnie the grounds keeper from NC. Pundit analysts give him a good chance of going all the way. Not sure I agree. If he's still there after a month I might agree.
Nicole from Michigan still looks good to me as a 'long term suvivor'. But Brittany from Long Beach, recently divorced, mother of 3, looks like a contender in my book. Probably still in bed so no pics for now.
Here we can vote for Team America, only 3 members, one has already been chosen. Joey the radical leftist from Seattle was voted as the first one. I put all 20 of my daily votes on Brittany. They are a secret group. The viewers can tell them to do things to influence things in the house.

Will New Big Brother Twist Become ‘Battle Of The Weakest Block’?
By: Matthew Boyer | June 27, 2014 at 12:30 PM EDT
Big Brother fans waited and speculated and waited some more this preseason in anticipation of discovering just how this new “Battle of the Block” twist would work. Now after last night’s premiere conclusion we have the answers, but that just raises more questions.
Battle of the Block
Battle of the ‘Weakest Block’ – Source: CBS
As Julie Chen explained last night on Big Brother 16, the Battle of the Block twist will involve each week’s four nominees in a duel battle to escape the chopping block. Despite earlier suggestions otherwise, the HoHs will not be participating in this new competition, only the noms. Here’s how it works.
Each of the two Head of Household winners will nominate two HGs. Those four HGs will face off and work as pairs, grouped by the HoH who nom’d them. The winning pair will be free from the block, but they’ll also get to “dethrone” the HoH who put them there.
Example: “HoH A” nominates “HG B” and “HG C.” “HoH X” nominates “HG Y” and “HG Z.” HGs B&C compete against HGs Y&Z. HGs B&C win the comp and are no longer on the block. HoH A, who nominated HGs B&C, loses his role as HoH. HGs Y&Z remain on the block since they lost and HoH X, who nominated them, becomes that week’s sole HoH.
Confusing enough for you? Yeah, it seems a little complicated, but I think we’ll get the flow of it before too long.
Here’s the sticking point for me though and it was immediately obvious on what we should expect as a result of these rules. If you were HoH and wanted to remain safe for the week, would you put up strong competitors who would have a better chance at winning and dethroning you, or weak HGs who are more likely to lose and let you stay safe? The latter, of course.
So what happened this first week? Frankie nominated Victoria and Brittany, the two HGs who fell first and second in the second group’s comp. Caleb nominated Donny and Paola, the first male and female to fall in the first HoH comp. Of course they did. The HoHs wanted their best odds at staying safe by seeing their noms lose. It’s the Battle of the Weakest Block.
The nice part is we’re more apt to see the weakest players eliminated first this season. That will make it more difficult to see a repeat of last season’s F3. It’be fun to see the more competitive players duke it out at the end, so that’s good. The downside though is that it nearly forces the hand of the HoHs on who they’ll nominate. I mean, sure, Caleb could have picked Devin and Hayden, but why would he take that risk?
All hope isn’t lost though for any HoHs wanting to target a bigger player. They can still try for the backdoor or renom route and get someone out that way. So there is an option, but I’m thinking we’re going to see a trend of four less competitive players nominated in the first round each week. Welcome to, Battle of the Weakest Block.
What do you think of this new twist for Big Brother 16? Like it or want to see it gone soon?

'Big Brother 16' Spoilers: Who Won the First Power of Veto?
John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV
The Big Brother 16 live feeds only started Thursday night, but there's already a ton of action going on. The nominations and the first Battle of the Block are over, and now the first Power of Veto competition has been played.
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 16 spoilers from the live feeds.
HoH Frankie nominated Brittany and Victoria while HoH Caleb nominated Donny and Paola. Brittany and Victoria won the first Battle of the Block competition, meaning they are safe and Frankie is no longer HoH. Cody, Victoria and Zach were chosen to play in the PoV competition.
Donny won the Power of Veto!
Wow, that's a bit unexpected, especially since it was the typical "spelling" competition where the HGs ran through water and bubbles to collect letters and spell the longest word. Donny won with "splitters." It's good for him since Donny was the target. He's who Caleb, Devin, Frankie and Zach all wanted to get evicted, but now they need to enact Plan B.
From the talk, the back-up plan is to backdoor Joey. Unless something crazy happens, she'll probably be the replacement nominee and there's a good chance she'll be evicted, since Paola is seen as a weak wild card who will self destruct. Plus, Joey has apparently exposed El Quatro, her all-girl alliance with Paola, Nicole and Amber.
However, the girls are plotting to see if Caleb would put up a strong guy like Devin or Cody. That's highly unlikely. Brittany also claims Paola would probably go if she's up against Joey, but that doesn't seem so sure.
The game thus far seems to be run by the guys. Frankie and Zach already have a Final 2 deal and they are thick as thieves, plotting and scheming with each other and talking about how they're destined to win.
There's also yet another formal alliance in the house, a group of eight HGs called the Bomb Squad. Frankie, Devin and Caleb appear to be the main three and the architects of it, possibly having joined forces with the trio of Zach, Cody and Derrick (though they are really two separate trios that are only loosely associated, with Frankie and Zach working together on both sides). Amber and Christine were brought in later, but the guys don't completely trust them because Amber is too emotional and Christine is close with Nicole. Frankie's main role seems to be the diffuser, calming down the craziness of Devin and Cody.
It's likely that Donny will continue to be a prime target for the Bomb Squad, with Victoria as another target. This is definitely bad news for the ladies this year, and potentially HILARIOUS news for the Team America twist, since Joey is the first member and may be evicted before it even begins. It's hard not to be reminded of season 12, when Annie the Saboteur was the first HG evicted, thus ruining the twist. If this keeps up, it's going to be a bad summer for the women of Big Brother 16.
Despite Devin’s suggestion and argument Frankie concluded they needed to stick with the plan and target Donny unless he won Veto. If Donny won Veto then they’d renom Joey and send her home short of her Team America glory. Why did Frankie so strongly want Donny eliminated? Because “He’s a f***ing GENIUS!” declared Frankie. You see, Frankie is convinced that Donny is not a groundskeeper, but actually a super-intelligent professor playing them all. I’m not kidding. But Donny is a groundskeeper and Frankie is just crazy. Or at least crazy paranoid.
What do you think of the PoV Comp results? What will happen at the ceremony? The Veto Ceremony will be coming up and we’ll post spoilers when they happen.
