Madame Secretary
Watched the premiere this evening and enjoyed it. I'll admit I expected to enjoy it because I like Tea Leoni and with it having been created by Barbara Hall (whose work I've enjoyed since she created "Joan of Arcadia") I expected to enjoy the writing. I'll admit I'm glad that, at least in the pilot, they didn't make the administration that Tea's character joins either extremely liberal or conservative. I was thrilled to see Bill Sadler pop up in the show...sorry they killed him off almost immediately.
I was wondering, did anyone else watch & if so what did you think?

Re: Madame Secretary
I dvr'd it but haven't watched it yet. I am friends with Bill on fb and he commented about it being on last night or I would have missed it.
I'll let you know what I thought. Gonna' give Katie a try with hers. I just have a mental block with her. She just annoys me!

Re: Madame Secretary
I like Tea, but won't be watching this because of my boycott of any fictional show with plots/characters at the national level involving actual govt. functions. It's good to hear that it took a middle of the road path, politically, but the temptation to veer left is always there and the fictional depictions of real offices whose bumblings we see every day on the news is never realistic.
I will watch shows like Homeland that do involve govt. agencies but can use fictional situations because no one knows what they are really up to anyway, in the real world.

I've stuck with this one and must say I am enjoying it. I don't get the feeling it is about partisan politics at all.
