Casting Kristen Wiig is of course nearly mandatory. Kate McKinnon will probably be good too based on her SNL gigs. I could do without McCarthy and I don't know anything about Jones, not memorable on SNL but she may prove okay.

I'm torn. I think these are talented women and it might work. But there are big shoes to fill here and a lot of people are going to think NOBODY could or should try to replace the original cast.

You may be right. But if they can put a new spin on it and not try to recreate the 'feeling' of the old ones, it might come off okay. I see the biggest problem of being avoiding the slapstick raunchiness of McCarthy.
