So Audrey didn't quit as had been suspected but has withdrawn mentally and physically from the game. Nothing to do now except wait for her inevitable eviction on Thursday. It's interesting how some HGs break down emotionally from the stress of the game. It happens once in awhile, but not exactly like Audrey. Usually they fly into a tantrum or threaten another HG or damage something, all of which violates the rules and causes production to boot them.

Big Brother 17: Counting The Votes In Week 4 [POLL]

Posted: 21 Jul 2015 11:45 AM PDT

Two days until the next Big Brother eviction so it’s time for our regular “Counting the Votes” and this should be an easy one to predict who will be voted out next.
Shelli Poole counts the votes this week on Big Brother 17

There are going to be ten votes which leaves us open to a tie-breaker, but if the vote were held right now, it wouldn’t even be close. Like not at all close.

Audrey launched a plan on Sunday to flip the house and secure enough votes to stay in the game. She’d need six to avoid letting Shelli send her out the door. Six votes in her favor would require everyone not in the Sixth Sense alliance to vote to keep her. That’d be a huge feat to accomplish.

Unfortunately for Audrey’s game the plan quickly fell apart. After initially convincing James to pursue her idea he was talked down by Meg and Clay, well of course he’s going to go against this. Audrey was trying to convince the HGs of the Sixth Sense alliance, but they didn’t believe it. Meg and Jason said it’d be better for their game to keep a six-HG alliance than Audrey. Huhwhat?

Would you like to guess which five Houseguests have yet to be nominated? Austin, Clay, Liz/Julia, Shelli, and Vanessa. Those are the ones Audrey tried to warn them about, but no one believes her.

Compounding Audrey’s challenges in surviving this week is her recent self-imposed lock-down. She’s gone in to hibernation after staying in the DR for roughly 8 hours between Sunday night and Monday, she skipped the Veto meeting where she was renom’d, and now she’s hiding under blankets in the HN room. Even worse is she’s been eating regular food which would typically result in penalties.

Audrey’s game is done and she’s all but left the game having practically already quit. When you’re a Have-Not and start eating regular food then you aren’t even bothering anymore. She’ll be gone on Thursday night in a unanimous, 10-0 vote. Shame to see her go out this way, but that’s her choice.

An interesting take on the Audrey situation from a live feed fan:

The reason Audrey is getting special treatment is because Julie Chen is Les Moonves wife, and she was so moved they were having the first transgendered person on BB that she got choked up talking about it. They don't want her embarrassed, and they don't want CBS embarrassed by anyone saying that Audrey wasn't handled nicely. So they are bending over backwards to get her out of the house without anyone saying Audrey wasn't treated right. I don't think it matters to them if Audrey is batcrap crazy or if she really has had some kind of reaction to medication, they just need to put the best face on it. It should be interesting to see what the edit is for this on the shows.

'Big Brother 17' Spoilers: Who's Breaking the Have-Not Rules?
Tuesday, July 21, 2015

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

The rules on Big Brother 17 are pretty simple and the show is rather strict about not letting the HGs violate them. But in week 4, some of those rules have gone out the window for one particular contestant.

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 17 spoilers.

Vanessa won the Power of Veto. She used it to save Jason and Audrey is the replacement nominee.

The entire house has turned against Audrey this week and she happens to be one of the four Have-Nots. But for some reason, those rules don't apply to her.

Since before her nomination, Audrey has spent all of her time wrapped in a blanket in the Have-Not room. She didn't even attend the veto ceremony where she was put on the block. Audrey is a Have-Not, meaning she's only allowed to eat Slop or this week's extra good, Grunge Cakes (sponge cakes and gravy), but the rules aren't being applied to her.

On Monday night, the other HGs made her pizza and brought it to her. And on Tuesday morning, James made her an omelet. The other HGs have speculated about why the show is allowing her to flagrantly break the rules, suspecting that it's a medical issue. Audrey spent about three hours in the diary room Sunday night and another five straight hours in the diary room on Monday afternoon. It's clear she's not handling her nomination very well.

Besides eating regular food, Audrey is also allowed to turn the Have-Not room lights off during the day (another rule violation) and she spent some time sleeping on the floor of the Have-Not instead of in the dentist chair (also against the rules).

Usually rule violations like this result in a penalty vote or a penalty nomination, not that it will matter. Audrey is essentially guaranteed to be the first unanimous house vote of the season, unless someone gives her a sympathy vote.

At this point, everyone in the house, including Audrey, knows that she's going to be evicted on Thursday. Everyone is just going along with the rule violations, assuming that it's some type of serious medical issue because they don't think production would allow this to happen if it was some type of strategy where she's playing possum (a la Dan's funeral).

The other HGs are trying to stay light and fun, but the mood in the house is definitely a tad awkward because of the whole Audrey situation and the way she's handling going on the block and being the house's target. Time will tell if she gets better and emerges from her Have-Not cocoon and the game will definitely be different once she's evicted on Thursday.
