BB day 12 .....veto results
As John points out it is historically hard for 'all-female' alliances to survive for long. I can't recall any of them going very near the end. A couple of all-male alliances have done so. No one seems to have a theory about this.
Meanwhile there is no mention, so far, on the "official" sites , of what has gotten the fan chat rooms and blogs in a tizzy. Corey told a story about a friend who mistreated a goat in some way involving setting it on fire, although he didn't actually do it. This has caused Corey to be branded as a brute and a worthless person in some fans eyes. It may eventually blow over but it is this seasons 'equivalent' of Aaryn's sexist remarks in S15.

It's going to be a long four days in the Big Brother 18 house. The first Power of Veto ceremony is over and now the HGs and nominees have nothing to do but wait for Thursday's live eviction. So what happened at the first PoV ceremony?
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 18 spoilers.
Nicole is HoH and nominated Jozea and Paulie. Frank won the new Road Kill competition which gave him the power to secretly nominate a third person. He nominated Paul. Paul won the Power of Veto.
Paul saved himself. Frank secretly nominated Bridgette.
Even though it was Frank who nominated someone from his own team, half of the house is in the dark about who did it. Frank's big Eight-Pack alliance (with James, Da'Vonne, Nicole, Corey, Tiffany, Michelle and Zakiyah) know that he won the Road Kill competition, but no one else does.
This leaves Bridgette, Jozea and Paulie as the nominees. As of now, Jozea is going home with James, Frank, Da'Vonne, Corey, Tiffany, Michelle and Zakiyah voting to evict him while Paul, Victor, Bronte and Natalie are voting to evict Paulie (though some of them seem on the fence). Bridgette is just a pawn and should be completely safe.
The fun part of the live feeds is that Jozea feels very confident. He believes Da'Vonne and Zakiyah plus Frank and James are on his side. He is still claiming that he's the Messiah of the house, in complete control over everyone. And James, Frank, Da'Vonne and Zakiyah are more than happy to build up his ego and make him feel safe to make his blindside eviction even better.
In other news from the weekend, Tiffany told Paulie about her sister being Vanessa, which he already kind of suspected. Also, Tiffany is already showing shades of Vanessa with crazy paranoia over being a potential target by Jozea (even though he's going home). She's getting very emotional, which hasn't gone unnoticed by Da'Vonne, Zakiyah and Nicole. They have concerns about her, but they know they have to work with her for now and just limit the amount of info they give her so she doesn't get too crazy.
On the flip side, Tiffany vented to Michelle about how Da'Vonne was the one being snippy for no reason. This is already starting to form cracks in the Fatal 5 all-girl alliance of Tiffany, Michelle, Zakiyah, Da'Vonne and Nicole.
As for alliances, Jozea, Victor and Paul named their trio the Revolution (not that it matters). However, the Powerpuff Girls (Bronte, Natalie and Bridgette) are showing cracks as there's a schism between Bronte/Natalie and Bridgette, with the latter possibly swaying more towards her team of Frank, Michelle and Paulie.

'Big Brother 18' Rankings: Which Team is the Best?

Teams are back on Big Brother. Though 1 team has already lost a member and by the end of week 2 another team will move from 4 to 3, teams are here to stay on Big Brother 18 for the foreseeable future. While house guests are free to make and break alliances as they wish, their teams will be very important in determining certain privileges and rewards. While it is still very early in Big Brother 18 it is arguable that someone's team not only might make their game, it could break it. Here are the rankings for the 4 Big Brother 18 teams and which team has the biggest potential to dominate the game.
Big Sister
They are easily the most dysfunctional team of any Big Brother 18 collective. While originally all the newbies were united against their fellow teammate and returner Da'Vonne that has since changed. Now it is just a 50/50 split. Zakiyah and Da'Vonne are on one side of the house with Paul and Jozea on the other. This will probably make Big Sister the most interesting team to watch but it also likely means that they will be the first to crumble.
Big Brother 18 Recap: The New Competition is Revealed >>>
Da'Vonne is a good social and strategic player but even in Big Brother 17 she didn't establish herself as much of a challenge threat. Paul and Jozea think they are amazing when they are anything but, so that just leaves Zakiyah to pick up all the slack. So far in Big Brother 18 she has not proved to anywhere near the level she needs to be in challenges to make that happen. It also doesn't help that Big Sister is full of 4 type-A personalities and none of them are interested in taking orders. It's very easy to envision a scenario where week 3 of Big Brother 18 sees Big Sister down to only 2 members.
Team Unicorn
Though they did win the first team competition, Team Unicorn is teetering on the edge of disaster. Nearly all the members of their team have broken up into separate alliances. They also don't have to seem have much challenge cachet. They really seem like the team that will burn out quickest behind Big Sister.
Victor is about the only physical threat on the team but that comes at the expense of him possibly being one of the stupidest Big Brother players in history. Victor's first act once Nicole became Head of Household was to lay out all of his alliance's plans and make it clear that they were coming after her and the fellow veterans. While I'm all for, in theory, the all-girls alliance led by Natalie and Bronte, neither seem to have much social etiquette either. James has exhibited in his Big Brother 17 season that he also doesn't have the greatest luck when it comes to challenges. While James would squeak out the odd and lucky win, he really only seemed like a threat because his closest alliance member was Meg, who was a human disaster at every competition. Team Unicorn's fate rests on Victor's shoulders and, while imposing, they are also very stupid shoulders.
The Freakazoids
Though Glenn was right about the puzzle and just barely lost to Corey in the second team competition, losing him is probably the best thing that could have happened for this team. Though they lost the first week of competitions, they are now one of the strongest and most unified teams in the house.
Why The Big Brother 18 Teams Are Too Restrictive >>>
Nicole has positioned Corey perfectly within the team as all the muscle and none of the brains. This might be a little bit unfair considering the season has just begun but it's hard to imagine Corey having a single original thought. Though Tiffany seems to have inherited some of her sister's paranoia and tears, she also seems to have her sister's intelligence. She could be a real asset to The Freakazoids in that respect. Capping things off is Nicole, who is playing a better game in her first two weeks of Big Brother 18 than she did the entirety of her Big Brother 16 run. Nicole was a decent player in her first season but now she is a real threat. It also certainly helps that all 3 members of the team are on the same page and in the 8-Pack alliance.
If Tiffany and Nicole can work together they have a chance to go all the way to the Final Two !
Category 4
They are not quite as united as The Freakazoids, but Category 4 is, by far, the biggest competitive threat in Big Brother 18. It would be enough to qualify them as such because of Frank. The only reason Frank stuck around as long as he did in Big Brother 14 was because his ability to win challenges. It's not just Frank, though -- Paulie and Michelle are joining him. Though either have yet to prove their potential it is obviously there. Paulie is an athlete in many arenas and a huge physical threat. Michelle is a student of the game, is physically fit and has repeatedly made clever game decisions.
Bridgette is admittedly the odd girl out here. She is not only probably the physically weakest, she is the only one on the other side of the house. (Paulie might not be in the 8-Pack alliance but he is very clearly aligned with the veterans.) This will likely be a non-factor in Category 4's chances, though, as the rest can make up for Bridgette's weakness. Plus if they want to get rid of her they can easily make it happen.
But what do you think? Who is your favorite team? Which team do you think contains the Big Brother 18 winner? Could any of the teams turn into actual alliances?
Big Brother 18 airs Sundays and Wednesdays at 8pm and Thursdays at 9pm on CBS.
