They are determined to get Tiffany out. How many times has she been on the block...? tongue

Big Brother 18 Spoilers: Week 4 Nominations
By: Matthew Boyer | July 15, 2016 at 2:50 PM EDT

Paulie Calafiore is back in the driver’s seat for Big Brother 18 this week as the new Head of Household and it didn’t take him long to make his target and nomination plans well known through the house. Thanks to the Live Feeds we’ve got your nom spoilers.

Nominations on Big Brother

Last week when things flipped against Bronte it had been Paulie standing in the way for several days before relenting and joining the hive mind to keep Tiffany around and make Frank the target. Well when Paulie blew that by winning HoH and giving Frank blanket safety for the week it was time for a new plan.

Big Brother 18 Week 4 Nominations:

Paulie nominated: Natalie and Tiffany

Sure, Frank was his top pick but that’s done and gone so Tiffany will make him just as happy. Nothing is simple or a sure thing for Big Brother though. With the Roadkill comp coming up there’s a chance someone is ready to go against the flow and send another target like Da’Vonne to the Block.

Paulie considered using Paul and Natalie as double pawns to BD Tiffany but that plan didn’t last long and he soon returned to the upfront approach. Natalie isn’t in any particular danger this round but you never know what could happen. As James’s last teammate I’d watch for him to be highly protective of her this week.

What do you think of Paulie’s noms? He’s made his target clear, but do you think he can finally pull off the Tiffany eviction or will she escape it again?

Is Da'Vonne the Only 'Big Brother 18' Houseguest Who Has Learned from Past Mistakes?
Friday, July 15, 2016

Derek Stauffer
Contributing Writer, BuddyTV

In the first month of Big Brother 18, it's the returners' world and everyone else is playing in it. The returning players went from having a huge disadvantage to more or less running the game. While all of the returning players are still in positions of power and security inside the house, there is one veteran who has risen to the top of the heap. While other veterans are falling into similar patterns with slight tweaks to their games this season, Da'Vonne is the only one who is truly learning from her mistakes. Da'Vonne was an early eviction from Big Brother 17. In Big Brother 18 she might actually be on track to win the entire season.

Big Brother 18 Recap: Who Gets Evicted in Week 3? >>>

Standing Alone

Da'Vonne is not the only veteran trying to keep from repeating her past sins, but she is the most successful one so far in Big Brother 18. Da'Vonne's only real competition, in this area, is Nicole. James continues to be a very likable guy but not the most aggressive of Big Brother players. James is not clueless but he's not on track to win the season. He is more than likely on track to repeat his win for America's Favorite Player, but that's all. Frank, who started off so strong, has more or less crumbled, turning from everyone's favorite buddy to everyone's least favorite memory of the arrogant bully in high school. If James and Frank are not unaware of their past mistakes, they certainly don't care about them.

Nicole is at least aware of the fact that her game got messed up in her original season because of a showmance. This doesn't change the fact, however, that almost immediately after Big Brother 18 started Nicole found herself in another showmance. While Nicole started off the season resolute in not letting her attraction and flirtations with Corey affect her game, that resolve has crumbled.

The Fatal 5 could have been the strongest alliance in Big Brother 18. But it has started to fold in favor of 2 of the vital members (Nicole and Zakiyah) hooking up, in more ways than one, with guys they find cute. A showmance, or just plainly having a partner in the Big Brother house, can be valuable but more often it makes you a target and can end your game prematurely.

Da'Vonne, on the other hand, has no clear signs that she is repeating herself. Da'Vonne's biggest problem in Big Brother 17, besides a lack of allies, was being able to keep her mouth shut. Da'Vonne, because she is a strong and opinionated person, was unable to put her own personal beliefs aside for her gameplay. She started fights, made herself a target and essentially signed her own eviction. In Big Brother 18, Da'Vonne has not become a quieter or more timid person. Da'Vonne has just chosen her moments better about what she is going say and when she is going to say it. She's becoming smarter not weaker.

Da'Vonne current fight with Frank is a perfect example. Da'Vonne in Big Brother 17 would have had an all-out screaming match with Frank. In Big Brother 18, Da'Vonne's disdain for Frank has been a lot quieter and under the radar. Though nearly everyone knows they are targeting one another, it's been sly enough to be good gameplay.

Sitting Pretty and Friendly

It is all well and good that Da'Vonne is one of the only veterans being aware of her mistakes and trying to fix them. It means nothing though if Da'Vonne can't turn her new strategy into a winning one. Though it is early in the game, there is reason to think that Da'Vonne can pull out that win. Da'Vonne doesn't have a solid partner in the game like Zakiyah and Nicole do but that could very well be to her advantage. As mentioned, while the showmances are solid alliances, they do more bad than good. Once Frank is gone, one of the showmances will probably be in someone's crosshairs. As long as Da'Vonne can survive both Frank and half a showmance's eviction, she will be sitting in a relatively good position.

Are the Returning Houseguests Making Big Brother 18 Less Fun to Watch? >>>

Da'Vonne hasn't only just managed to avoid severely alienating other players by starting arguments. She has been able to strike up several strong friendships along the way with other houseguests. While Nicole was working with both Frank and Da'Vonne for a little bit, her alliance with Da'Vonne has been a lot stronger and more stable. A large part of the reason that Zakiyah switched from the newbie to the veteran side of the house is because of her own friendship with Da'Vonne. If Zakiyah and/or Nicole were to lose Paulie or Corey, respectively, Da'Vonne would probably be next in line to be their new partner.

This is not even to mention Da'Vonnne's mini-partnership with James as he seems to be the closest member of the opposite sex inside the house for Da'Vonne. She also has strong relationships with both Michelle and Tiffany within the Fatal 5. Da'Vonne has strong relationships all over the house and unlike Frank, she isn't being obnoxious and cocky about it.

Da'Vonne's current rivalry with Frank could just as easily sink her game as evicting him could be her biggest coup. Still, if Da'Vonne can get rid of Frank, as she desires, and continue to keep her head down and her friendships strong she should become one of Big Brother 18's biggest redemption stories.

But what do you think? Can Da'Vonne win Big Brother 18? Is she the strongest of the veterans? Has she improved her game or is she just as bad? Is she just getting lucky this season?

'Big Brother 18' Spoilers: Who Are the Week 4 Nominees?

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

Paulie is HoH for the second time on Big Brother 18. Cody's brother is dominating these early competitions and, as a result, his entire team is totally safe for the third week in a row. That's bad news for everyone in the house who wanted to go after Frank and Bridgette, just like they did last week. With those two off the table, who did he nominate?

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 18 spoilers.

Paulie nominated Tiffany and Natalie.

Yes, Tiffany is on the block for the third week in a row, and just like last week, she's the target. Even though the house just flipped at the last minute to save her, there was immediate regret over that decision, but only because the HoH competition didn't go as they planned. Now Paulie is back to where he was 48 hours ago, afraid that Tiffany is just like Vanessa.

It didn't help that Tiffany had a total freakout and meltdown over the night, crying and saying she wanted to self-evict. She flipped to Frank's side and told him a few secrets about Paulie and Corey wanting him out, but then Da'Vonne tried to comfort her. However, Da'Vonne is also in the thick of it because Frank and Tiffany have figured out that she's the one who turned them against each other.

She was upset that she felt all alone because, thanks to Paulie telling her about the last-minute flip to save her, she realized that everyone she thought she could trust was lying to her all week long. And she's not wrong, since behind closed doors most of the house is calling her a sociopath and desperately wants her gone.

Some interesting drama came as Frank tried desperately to figure out who flipped, but the 5-4 vote has made that difficult (which was the whole point). He seems to have a good idea that Da'Vonne, Zakiyah and Michelle were three of the votes to evict Bronte. However, he keeps going back and forth on the others.

He seems to think Nicole and Corey flipped against him (true), making Frank, James, Natalie and Paulie the four votes to evict Tiffany. Tiffany basically confirmed this and seems to have successfully turned Frank and Bridgette against Nicole and Corey, convincing them to nominate Corey and try to get him voted out if Frank wins Road Kill again.

Of course we know that the person who gets evicted this week only needs to win one Battle Back competition to return to the game, so all of this may be for nothing.

FUN FACTS

-Paulie is the sixth HG to win two of the first four HoH competitions. The others are Janelle Pierzina on All-Stars, Jessie Godderz in season 11, Rachel Reilly in seasons 12 and 13, Frankie Grande in season 16 (though he was dethroned both times by Battle of the Block) and Shelli Poole last year. Rachel in season 12 and Shelli in season 17 are the only ones to do it in weeks 2 and 4 like Paulie, but both were evicted soon thereafter.

-So far, Corey, Zakiyah, Michelle and all four of the returning players have still never been nominated. And of those seven, Nicole as the first HoH and Frank with his Road Kills are the only ones who've won a comp.
