For the past two weeks on Big Brother 18, the HoH also won the Power of Veto. So did Paulie win it again or did one of the nominees get the opportunity to save themselves?
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 18 spoilers.
Paulie nominated Tiffany and Natalie. Tiffany won the Road Kill and nominated Corey. Paul and Da'Vonne were picked to play.
Corey won the Power of Veto!
Apparently, Tiffany was the first person out of the competition and it came down to Corey, Paulie and Paul. Corey seems to be upset that some people aren't happy that he won. That's due to the fact that he's the Road Kill nominee, so if he saves himself, someone else will secretly be put on the block (he thinks it's Frank, not Tiffany, who won Road Kill). Paulie, as usual, is trying to keep everyone calm saying it doesn't matter because they have the votes to evict Tiffany regardless of who the replacement nominee is. That's easy for him to say since he's the HoH, but actually going on the block in a season with so much lying is bound to be stressful.
Corey will probably save himself, resulting in Tiffany having to nominate his replacement. Her only options are Nicole, Zakiyah, Paul, Da'Vonne and James. It seems likely that Tiffany will be evicted no matter what, but then again, I thought the same thing last week after the PoV competition. However, if Corey is somehow convinced not to use the PoV on himself, that could be fun.
UPDATE: A few hours after the comp, Tiffany actually told Frank about the Fatal 5 all-girls alliance and told him that she's going to nominate Da'Vonne if Corey saves himself. She's blowing everything up and will probably be evicted because of it.
Then Paul came in and Tiffany and Frank exposed all of the alliances to him, namely the 8Pack and the Fatal 5. Tiffany is very angry that Da'Vonne screwed her over in the game (she's the one who told Frank that Tiffany was coming after him) and that she's also the one who suggested nominating Corey, which is why she's going up. She's not wrong, since Da'Vonne was the one leading the charge to evict Tiffany in week 2 before she changed her mind. But the damage was already done.
Paul then immediately ran to James and Corey to tell them everything he just learned, proud of his status as a spy that Frank and Tiffany foolishly trust. That was followed by Tiffany telling Corey all about the Fatal 5 and how Da'Vonne told her about Nicole and Zakiyah wanting to trade it in for the other five-person alliance with Corey, Paulie and Da'Vonne. Tiffany and Frank are trying to get the house to all turn on Da'Vonne to vote her out this week, but it hasn't worked.
Paulie, Paul and his group are standing by Da'Vonne and only want to mess with Tiffany, Frank and Bridgette. Those three are completely and totally screwed.
FUN FACTS
-Frank, James and Michelle have all not played in a PoV competition yet. Only 12 other HGs have not played in any of the first four PoV comps they were eligible for. The only ones to go longer are season 6's April Lewis and season 13's Lawon Exum (both missing the first five), season 15's Andy Herren (who didn't play in the first six) and season 8's Eric Stein (who didn't play in any of the first seven PoV comps).
-Paulie and Paul have both played in all four of the first PoV competitions this season. Since the comp was limited to just six players in season 5, only nine other HGs have played in the first four PoVs: Jase and Drew in season 5, Jessie Godderz in season 10, Brendon and Rachel in season 13, season 14's Shane, Frank and Wil and Johnny Mac last year.
