‘Big Brother 18’: Overnight Revelations Make Paulie’s Game Go BOOM

Well that escalated quickly. Overnight Tuesday we witnessed major changes in the dynamics of the Big Brother 18 house as HGs began to realize through mutual confessions that Paulie Calafiore was running the house and pitting them against one another. While he slept in the next room his former allies turned against him.

Backing things up a bit we had seen James wavering over whether or not it’d be in his best interest to use his new Care Package power against Paulie to send Zakiyah out the door. After things shifted back, as expected, to sticking with Paulie, things were finally pushed over the ledge for James and he wasn’t alone.
A little after 11PM BBT last night Michelle put in a hard press to get James and Natalie to consider keeping her. She urged James to realize Paulie was running the house but James continued to goof and make silly comments. After Michelle was gone Natalie started to apply the pressure as well.
Around 11:45 PM BBT Natalie told James that Paulie had made repeated flirt comments about them making out and no one knowing, taking a bite out of her butt, and has mentioned them dating back home (they both live near each other). James wants to call Paulie out but is hesitant because of the impact on his James’s game.
About thirty minutes later Bridgette has joined the talk and they’re going over who all wants Michelle to stay. James is surprised by the momentum but isn’t ready to try and blindside Paulie.
Move forward to 5:00 AM BBT as James and Paulie are alone in the Have Not Room. James lets Paulie know he’s upset about the alleged advances he’s been making on Natalie. Paulie denies it and also says it would have just been joking. Paulie says back home he and his boys would “put her in her place” then get rid of her after telling the other guy that a girl was suggesting someone was trying to cut in on their girlfriend. James says he’s upset with Natalie for suggesting this was happening.
Leap forward again to 6:00 AM BBT to find James and Natalie in the Storage room. If James was upset with Natalie then he’s over it now. They’ve been talking about the vote situation again. Bridgette arrives and the talk continues when James tells Bridgette she needs to make sure she’s got Victor with them. Bridgette realizes James is down for going against Paulie. There is much celebration in the room.
James wonders if they should hold a House Meeting to call out Paulie on his duplicity. Ugh. Such a bad idea. Don’t do that James! The group talk continues as they spend nearly thirty minutes discussing how to go about getting the house to flip. The three of them could work together though and that’s all they’d need to control this week’s outcome after using James’s ACP power. James says it’s time to go to war. Both Natalie and Bridgette say they’re in.
At 6:30 PM BBT the group leaves the Storage room and Bridgette goes to wake Michelle telling her things are happening. James and Natalie have soon joined the room where Paul is also sitting and listening. James, Bridgette, and Natalie begin explaining everything they know about what Paulie has been doing to pit them against one another.
There’s a lot more to cover in their talks on the next page…
James is revealing how Paulie made multiple Final deals with everyone around the house using different groups to manipulate the HGs against one another. Paul says he was hating on Bridgette because he was told she was hating on him. We get a lot of confessions and admissions from the HGs in the room.
Paul identifies this group as needing to stick together and they can control the votes this week then all work together to get Paulie. Everyone agrees that they are committed to the plan. Paul asks if James is sure he’s ready to go against Paulie and Corey. James says he is.
There is so much talk going on here that it’s just a constant flow of information from one side to the other as everyone is telling nearly everything they know about the weeks gone by and who controlled things (Paulie) and who convinced them of things (Paulie). It’s really bad for Paulie here as he’s about to only have Nicole & Corey in his corner but if Nicole decides she trusts James more then she’ll bail and Corey would follow. Considering Paul knows Paulie was naming Nicole as a top target just an hour earlier then he could use that information to peel her off from Paulie too.
Paul is doing a good job of ringleading the group as they excitedly plan how to take Paulie down starting with evicting Zakiyah this week. He warns them against a blindside as it’d would fire up Paulie’s game. They’re going to keep playing things up and make it like Michelle is going for now until they figure out how to handle the situation and ease in the idea that they all want Zakiyah gone now. Paul says it’s important not to reveal that they all know Paulie has been screwing them over.
Finally the group decides James should cancel Nicole and Paulie’s votes, but this later changes to Paul’s vote so they can get a 3-2 outcome where they can blame Nicole as the 3rd vote against Zakiyah. The implication here would be that Nicole worked together with Natalie and Bridgette while James will say he voted Michelle out. Interesting idea.
So wow. There we go. The talk went on for hours this morning and you could really start at 6 AM BBT to just watch the waterfall crashing down on Paulie’s game. Pretty crazy how fast that finally came undone after weeks of Paulie pulling the strings. Thing it’ll last? I actually do think this group is committed to the plan but Paulie can win, win, win and he just might have to keep doing that.
Do you hope this new group of allies can pull it off or are they destined to fail with someone breaking and running back to Paulie? So many possibilities. Share your thoughts below!

Paulie has been in complete control on Big Brother 18 for a long time. Even though he wasn't originally in the 8Pack, he's dominated competitions and controlled almost every single HoH since his own in weeks 2 and 4. However, could there finally be hope that his control of the game is slipping away?
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 18 spoilers.
Paulie won the Power of Veto and didn't use it, so Michelle and Zakiyah are still on the block.
Paulie is pushing hard for Michelle to be evicted, but she's slowly been blowing up his game, talking to people like Paul, Bridgette, James and Natalie about how Paulie is controlling the house and everyone is just handing him half a million dollars by doing what he wants.
But with James' Care Package power to cancel two votes, they only need three people to keep Michelle. And Natalie has been pushing hard to do just that. She's definitely playing the game, seeing everything, and she wants to make a move. She's spent a lot of time talking to James and Bridgette about why they need to take a shot at Paulie (via Zakiyah) right now.
At first it didn't quite work as James was scared to go against the house and potentially make enemies. But then, very late Tuesday/early Wednesday, Paul was brought into the fold. Along with Natalie, Michelle, Bridgette and James, they all shared information on Paulie and how he's turning them against each other.
Paul seemed particularly "pissed," even exposing the all-guy Executives alliance to the girls. By the time everyone went to bed, it definitely seemed like a house flip was in order, with James, Natalie, Bridgette and Paul all wanting to keep Michelle. The plan is for one of those five to win the HoH during the double eviction and nominate Nicole and Corey, with an option to backdoor Paulie.
Now there's still plenty of time for this to fall apart. James and Paul probably won't be able to keep their mouths shut and they'll try to cover their own butts by warning Paulie, Nicole or Corey, which could undo everything. But this is a glimmer of hope. There finally seems to be a viable resistance that wants to stand up to Paulie and not let him control the game anymore.
I give a lot of the credit for this potential flip to Natalie. She has made it clear that she's now playing the game hard and isn't afraid to make big moves. She's not going to sit back and do nothing, she's going to fight. It's kind of amazing how quickly she learned this game and how committed she is to pushing for this. James has been lukewarm at best regarding this move, but Natalie hasn't let it go.
This Thursday's double eviction will definitely be a big one. If they go through with this move and succeed in evicting Zakiyah along with either Nicole, Corey or Paulie, it's a huge change. If they refuse and it ends up being Michelle who gets evicted with either Natalie, Bridgette or James, then we can probably write Paulie a check for $500,000 right now.
