The owner has opted to demolish it. More and more empty lots along east Central where the old motels once stood but then razed in recent years.

What a shame about the hotel. Sad that it had to be destroyed. Even if it owould be worth renovating. The price for upkeep would have been too high.

The old motels along Central aren't on traveler's 'radar' anymore since the new ones are more convenient to reach from I-40, you stayed at one, one time on Menaul, BL. But there has been one restored on west Central near Old Town. I guess they think that location is better for attracting tourists.
