BB day 97
Based solely on game play Paul did the best job, but I'd still prefer to see Nicole win. With a majority female on the jury we would normally say that this gives her an advantage, but we also hear that 5 of them don't like her, so it could go either way, have to wait until Wednesday to see....
Big Brother 18 Final 2: Who Should Win? Season Stats & Strategy
By: Branden | September 19, 2016 at 12:00 PM EDT
It’s Big Brother 18 finale week, and one of three final houseguests will be crowned the latest winner after a summer of twists, turns and a lot of drama.
bb18-final-3
We’ve got Paul, the motormouth bearded newbie who played the underdog’s game. Then there’s Nicole, the houseguest twice cast as the girl next door, who spent the summer in a showmance and playing her game mostly behind the scenes. And there’s James. The former America’s Favorite Player who played about 1 percent of Big Brother 18 and spent the rest of the time pulling pranks and chasing what may or may not have been an actual showmance.
In other words, we’ve got quite an interesting final 3 and I’ve got a very strong opinion on who should and shouldn’t win. So let’s get to my analysis.
James Huling
bb18-scorecard-james
I have nothing good to say about James’ game this season. Arguably one of the most undeserving players to ever make it to the final 3, he not only played a non-existent game, he spent a lot of the summer spoiling the fun for viewers by blowing up blindsides and making unpopular decisions. But this isn’t about who pissed us off the most this season, it’s about who played the best game and deserves to win. I’m here to say that it’s not James.
He had a decent social game starting out, but then he just spent the rest of the summer talking about being America’s favorite and playing house with Natalie. And by playing house I mean bickering like co-dependent high school sweethearts.
James promises (via the Live Feeds) that after the season he’s going to let us in on his strategy. What strategy?Sure he threw some competitions, but I actually watched him try to win a few and he couldn’t do it. And standing the longest along a wall isn’t that impressive, so what he did win doesn’t really spice up his resume much. He did manage to stay of the block for most of the season, so something can be said for that. I’m still trying to figure out what that something I could say is though. I mean with Derrick in Big Brother 16, that was an impressive part of his game. But James just managed to squeak by every week.
Does James deserve to win Big Brother 18? No. Not at all. He doesn’t even deserve to be the runner-up.
Can James win Big Brother 18. Yes. I know it sounds crazy, but he could pull together enough votes depending on how the jury is leaning. I don’t think he could beat Paul, but there’s a small possibility that he could beat Nicole.
Nicole Franzel
bb18-scorecard-nicole
Nicole is hard to analyze. On one hand, it would appear she didn’t do anything most of the game except turn on people that would have had her back. But she’s in the final 3, so she did something right. Unlike James, she didn’t just end up there. It took some work on her part.
Sure it’s hard to overlook the fact that most of the summer was spent in that corner bed with Corey, but she aligned herself with strong guys and managed to not get herself clipped for a typical brofest.
I admit that I probably didn’t give Nicole enough credit on her strategy, but that’s because I don’t understand it yet. Maybe I will understand eventually, or maybe there just wasn’t much to understand. It seemed to me that she was more concerned with how cute Corey was than with playing the game.
bb18-final-3
At any rate, Nicole’s social game was atrocious. I mean she has some of the worst jury management in history. And sure, juries have overlooked that in the past if the player was stronger in other areas. But was Nicole stronger in other areas? A little. Enough to win the game? Hmm.
Does Nicole deserve to win Big Brother 18? I’m trying to be objective here. And I can be objective, I promise. Last season I even said Liz deserved to win Big Brother 17. So that being said, my answer is no, Nicole doesn’t deserve to win. Well, I take that back. Nicole deserves to win over James but not over Paul. But her game just wasn’t impressive enough for me to flat out say she deserves the win.
Can Nicole win Big Brother 18? Yes. The jury is mostly female and they’ve spent the summer being evicted and belittled by some of the men in the house. They’d love to see a female winner. Most of them have said that. But what about Nicole? Most of them don’t even like her. It’s a tough call, but I think if she argues her case enough, she could pull it off.
Paul Abrahamian
bb18-scorecard-paul
Compare Paul’s scorecard to the other two and you’ll have your answer on who should win Big Brother 18. There’s no denying it. He’s got the statistics and he’s got the gameplay from start to finish that would make up not only a deserving Big Brother winner, but a good one.
Paul is a newbie so it didn’t take him two tries to get to the final 3. He has been either a pawn or a target 6 times this season, and every time he’s either won the veto and saved himself or managed to keep the actual eviction votes off himself.
And of the final three, Paul had an actual visible strategy. Simply put, he was a floater. And not that bad-word floater that Rachel Reilly confused us all with in season 12. Paul went where the power was and Paul worked every angle of the system. He rattled people when he wanted to help ensure certain ones lost competitions or when he wanted to throw people off from his true alliances.
Despite the part of his strategy that rattled some HGs a little too much (Michelle and Natalie), Paul also had the best social game of the final three. People just like the guy. He makes them laugh. He’s made it easy for people to vote for him as long as they see he has the resume to back up his likability.
Does Paul deserve to win Big Brother 18? Yes. 100 percent yes. Against both James and Nicole.
Can Paul win Big Brother 18? Yes. I think so, anyway. He stands a better chance against James, but I’m not completely sure if he’s sitting next to Nicole. Paul has been so overshadowed by nearly everyone in the game, I’m not sure the jury even realizes how well he played.

Re: BB day 97
So with Nicole winning round two, that garantees that she and Paul will face off for the final HOH on Wednesday. If things go as expected, then if Paul wins he will pick Nicole to go with him to the Final Two. If Nicole wins she will pick Paul to go with her to F2. James will be out in the cold either way. Then the jury votes between Paul and Nicole to see who wins the $500 K. The runner up gets $50 K. James would get nothing unless he wins the fans vote for America's Favorite Player, $25 K. That voting is closed.

After a lengthy delay the Final HoH Round 2 comp finally played out for the Big Brother 18 Houseguests and we have the spoilers for which two HGs will face off on finale night to decide the season’s Final 2. The stress was mounting on these Houseguests, but now the pressure is over.
Nicole studies for Round 2 HoH comp
Round 1 wrapped up on Wednesday night but it wasn’t until deep in to Saturday morning before the remaining two players needed to determine who would continue to compete and who would watch from the sidelines at next week’s finale.
Paul had already won the first round which meant Nicole and James would face off for this next challenge and the winner was…

Nicole won the comp!

bb18-bblf-20160917-0157-james
When Feeds returned things were quiet but Nicole was soon alone and said that was the easiest comp she had ever done while James in the other room said “I got smoked.” Soon they were back together and both of the guys were congratulating Nicole as she excitedly said she would be competing in Round 3 on finale night so there we go.
Paul will be joined by Nicole on Wednesday night during the live finale show for the giant scales of justice to crown the final HoH and then move to evict one of the other two HGs. That’ll give us our F2 of the season and then it’ll be up to the Jury to decide who deserves to be the winner of Big Brother 18.
