This is science fiction with a medical drama plot line. Unusual within the common medical drama genre. But it looks promising, a Silicon Valley multi-millionaire, creates a futuristic hospital using techniques and devices not yet available. The cast looks good and it has two positive things going for them. One is Odette Annable, anything she is in is worth watching...and Reshma Shetty who looks to have lost a lot of weight since her Royal Pains days and not just because she isn't pregnant anymore. Her face is thinner than on any season of Royal Pains.
I fell asleep (not because of any boredom with the show) before I could see the outcome of last night's medical 'problems' but I'll be back.....

Re: Pure Genius
And where does the FDA come into all this new-fangled jiggery pokery...don't medical procedures have to be "standard practice" ?

Re: Pure Genius
I guess since his procedures save patients who would otherwise die with 'standard practice', what can the FDA say, especially if the relatives of the saved patients come forward and say that they were saved with the 'non-standard' practices.

Re: Pure Genius
Ain't the way it works. And patients don't always live. What will the relatives say then?
But this is a suspension of disbelief scenario, so I can roll with it. But dangerous if peeps think this could really happen.

Re: Pure Genius
It is S-F, but I suppose there are some 'medical drama' fans who think it portrays current medical procedures.
