I don't receive BBC-1 so can't watch this.
What this article doesn't mention but is often pointed out by "what if" historians, is that invading Russia in '41 was Hitlers biggest strategic mistake. 75% of all the casualties in the German Army in WWII occurred on the Eastern Front. Imagine if those troops had been available in the west in '44.
I read Deighton's book years ago, don't know how closely the TV series will follow it. The Man in the High Castle deviated quite a bit.

BBC 1, 2, 3, & 4 are available with Kodi along with Sky TV programming.
