BB day 17

BB day 17
With Paul winning HOH Cody and Jessica now know that they are in grave danger and their showmance of two weeks is doomed to dissolution, casting both of them into solitary limbo, forever destined to roam the earth alone and abandoned.
Paul's scheme to not put either one on the block is bogus (see below) and very inimical to his game. His expected ploy of putting both of them on the block would provide us with the spectacle of which would be booted, leaving the other to carry on alone in the house despondent and without hope.
Under that scenario it would be expected that Cody would be booted as the more dangerous competitor. Jessica would be distraught and Cody would be very mad. However if the opposite occurred Cody would not feel any remorse because he has previously stated that the showmance with Jessica was only to further his game and he had no real feelings for her. If booted Jessica would then, after a brief mourning period, go back to cozying up to rich clients of the concierge company she works for.
Of course there is one more scenario even more guaranteed to tug at our 'heart strings of compassion', if any. And that is if one of them won POV. Would they then save themselves leaving the other to be booted, depending on who the replacement was ? Or would they in a tremendous display of self sacrifice use the POV to save the other person ?
We can dream of this scenario, it is unlikely, but if it ever came about it would be Cody who won the POV and would of course use it to save himself, casting Jessica aside and leaving us with a spectacle of a minute or two as Cody walks out and Jessica is crushed if not actually leaping on his back in an attempt at revenge.

'Big Brother 19' Spoilers: Who Won the Second HoH?
John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV
Power is up for grabs and it's time for a new HoH to be crowned on Big Brother 19. We're starting off strong with our first live endurance competition on the live feeds, and following a split vote with a lot of drama, winning HoH is crucial for a lot of HGs.
Thursday night saw Jillian get evicted, with Jessica, Jason, Alex and Ramses as the only votes to save her. There were immediate fireworks, with Cody confronting Mark and Jessica yelling at Christmas. Then the next HoH competition began.
SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 19 spoilers.
The competition requires HGs to sift through a bunch of candies to find tickets. They can redeem three tickets at a time to get balls. They must roll a ball down a lane into a heart and the first one to get it wins. It's similar to a competition Paul won last season and it's identical to a competition Kryssie won from Big Brother: Over the Top, which Paul hosted and watched.
BB19 Recap: The First Live Eviction>>>
Here's my live blog of the week 2 HoH competition. As always, all times are Big Brother 19 local time, aka PT.
7:22pm: The feeds finally returned! The HGs are all scrambling through the candies to find tickets.
7:25pm: Paul and Alex redeem their tickets, but both miss.
7:26pm: Mark is up next and misses. Then Jessica misses.
7:27pm: Jason is next and does well, but misses. Paul goes again and misses.
7:28pm: Matt misses.
7:29pm: Paul is going for a third time. He misses, but obviously others are feeding him tickets.
7:30pm: Kevin is up and gets very close to the hole.
7:31pm: Josh misses. Then Paul goes yet again. Jessica is next and fails.
7:33pm: Ramses is finally up and misses. Matt is next and misses.
7:34pm: Paul is at it AGAIN! He misses and Dominique follows.
7:35pm: Alex goes and misses, so does Jason.
7:36pm: Ramses misses and then Jessica misses. Elena, Raven, Mark and Christmas seem to be just collecting tickets for their team, mostly Paul.
7:37pm: Paul goes and is very close.
7:38pm: Matt and Josh both miss.
7:39pm: Paul seems to be standing in line and letting his teammates bring him extra tickets. He goes again and gets his ball in.,
Paul is the new HoH!
Seeing as how he has experience rolling balls on this show and had a bunch of people giving him tickets, this is hardly a surprise. Cody and Jessica know they're in serious trouble while all of the people who've been kissing Paul's butt for the past week are thrilled. It's very obvious that the Matt, Raven, Mark, Elena, Dominique, Christmas group are excited.
Paul has been talking a lot about some brilliant master plan he has this week, so now we'll get to see it. I have to assume that backdooring Cody is a strong possibility. After the competition, the feeds went down by we could hear production telling the HGs not to get into a physical fight and not to be nose-to-nose, strongly suggesting Cody and Paul.
As for Cody and Jessica, they know that one of them is going home and, true to form, Cody has no regrets. However, Paul revealed to his allies that his current plan is to put Matt and Raven on the block as pawns, then backdoor Cody.
In addition, the other big bit of news in the aftermath is that Kevin is claiming that he voted to evict Christmas and blaming Ramses for flipping, and people seem to believe him and they're calling Ramses a rat.
FUN FACT
In the history of the show, the week 2 HoH has never won the game. In fact, the second HoH has never even reached the Final 3. The only week 2 HoH to make it to the Final 4 was Jordan Lloyd in season 13, where she was evicted in fourth place.

Re: BB day 17
She should be allowed to stay if the DRs. think it's okay. But it's hard to see how she can effectively compete over the long term. She would be okay in the mental comps. but there are more physical comps coming up. At some point the majority may decide to boot her if only to 'clear the decks' and make it easier for the potential winners to plan their strategies.
Should Christmas Be Allowed to Stay on 'Big Brother 19'?

Christmas has now survived two eviction votes on Big Brother 19, but staying in the house almost wasn't an option. On Thursday's episode we saw Christmas and Jason horsing around in the backyard when they fell and Christmas severely injured her foot. She returned to the house with crutches and a cast, vowing that nothing will stop her from continuing in the game.
But should Christmas be allowed to stay? The episode on CBS only revealed that she had some torn ligaments, but the full story as we've seen on the live feeds sounds much more serious.
BB19 Recap: Jillian Is Evicted>>>
Christmas slipped on Monday and left the house briefly, returning with her cast and crutches. That's what viewers saw on the episode. But on Wednesday Christmas left the house a second time to get an MRI when it was revealed that she has two broken bones. However, Christmas said the producers gave her the choice to stay or exit the competition, though in the future her doctors will decide on a case-by-case basis whether she is able to participate in certain competitions.
Then, after the live eviction where Christmas was spared and after the HoH competition, Christmas revealed another bomb on the live feeds. Apparently she will be leaving the house once again on Monday to have surgery on her foot, getting pins put in.
Who Is the Week 2 HoH?>>>
At what point does this stop being "Christmas is tough a resilient" and start becoming "Christmas is harming herself and needs to be taken out"? The Big Brother 19 house isn't exactly the ideal place to recover from foot surgery and it sounds as though she'll stay injured for basically the entire season. If she somehow survives until the Final 3, there would be a great possibility that she wouldn't be able to compete in either of the first two parts, thus making them pointless.
It will be interesting to see what happens on Monday with her surgery and whether the show addresses the true severity of Christmas' injury. But this is not just a normal injury where the HG will recover in a week or two from a quick sprain. It sounds like Christmas' injury is a big deal and I'm not sure that staying in the game should be her decision.
Should Christmas be allowed to stay in the game?
Yes, it's her choice

No, the producers should take her out

Here's a really handy site that I just discovered. Almost minute by minute record of what's going on in the house with pictures and printed dialog from the HGs.

http://bigbrothernetwork.com/big-brother-19-schedule-special-episode-july-21/
Just because there is a 'special episode' scheduled doesn't mean there will be a 'battle back', which normally doesn't take place until there are enough evicted HGs in the Jury House to make a battle back episode interesting. There aren't any HGs in the Jury House yet and there won't be enough there in two weeks so I don't see it happening then. Of course production could come up with a totally new event that requires that extra episode...we'll see....
