John is right about Jessica's power now that she has the Halting Hex. It was wise of her not to use it last night because it was a foregone conclusion that Dominique would be evicted which she was, 10 to 0.
But what we don't know is who won the HOH comp. which is normally held right after the eviction on Thursday night. But the show ended without the HOH comp even starting with Julie just telling us to watch the Battle Back episode tonight, which we will certainly do, and with the feeds down until 9 pm PDT tonight we have two possibilities to ponder:

1. The HOH comp was held. The winner of the Battle Back will have to deal with them when he/she comes back. There are multiple scenarios as to how this could play out. Too many possibilities to predict at this point.

2. The HOH comp will not be held until after the Battle Back winner comes back into the house. Since the winner will most likely be Cody this provides somewhat more accurate predictions as to the outcome. When the live feeds come back tonight all of this will be revealed. Meanwhile the fan-verse erupts with speculation/hatred against their least favorite HG/accusations of sedition if not treason, against HGs they hate/ etc., etc. ......classic BB. two thumbs up

Ah.....we see that the Battle Back winner will be in the house when the next HOH comp. takes place.

Next Shows

Sunday 7/23 8pm HOH comp, nominations
Wednesday 7/26 8pm Veto comp, veto meeting
Thursday 7/27 9pm Temptation #3 consequence reveal, live eviction (or not)

The recipient of the third and final Den of Temptation offer on Big Brother 19 was revealed Thursday night, and Jessica accepted the Halting Hex. It gives her the power to cancel an eviction vote for four weeks. Despite being on the block, Jessica wisely chose not to use it right away, giving her three more opportunities to stop an eviction.

But will she actually have to use it at all or could simply having it be enough to save her? At the end of Thursday's episode, we saw Paul talking to Alex, Jason, Kevin and Josh about how he knows Jessica definitely won the Temptation. This could turn out to be the best thing for her game.

BB19 Recap: Jessica Wins the Halting Hex>>>

Paul may suspect that Jessica has it, but he doesn't know exactly what it is. If Jessica is smart, she will use the mystery surrounding her power to her benefit. If someone wins HoH, she can easily scare them into not targeting her because they know she has some type of power that could undo the move. Just look back to week 1 when Cody tried to target Paul, who won the first Den of Temptation offer. That backfired and made Cody a target who got backdoored the following week.

Jessica's best move would be to use that incident to ensure that no one even considers putting her on the block. If they do, it could come back to bite them because she has a secret power. If played effectively, Jessica could easily survive the next three weeks without ever having to actually use the Halting Hex.

Who Will Win the Battle Back?>>>

It will also depend on what happens with the Battle Back. If Cody returns, Jessica could use the Halting Hex to protect both herself and her showmance, giving them all of the power in the game.

It wouldn't make for great TV if Jessica never uses her Halting Hex, but the simple fact of having a special power could be enough to keep her safe and make sure that no one risks targeting her. This is a fantastic thing for her game, but for other people who were hoping she'd be a target ahead of them, it could make them the new top targets.

Allison Grodner Interview: More Temptations, Halting The Battle Back, & Most Surprising HG So Far

Four Houseguests down and out at the hands of the game so far this season and one of those will have a chance to get back into Big Brother 19 tonight. The last Den of Temptation power set this latest curse loose on the house but will that be the last of the season?

Executive Producer Allison Grodner took the time to answer a few of our questions this week about how long that Summer of Temptation would last, what the Halting Hex might have done to the Battle Back, and which Houseguest has surprised her the most.
Big Brother Network: The Summer Of Temptation’s “Den” is closing shop just three weeks in to the season. Will the Temptations continue on this season in a different manner or are the Temptation twists over now after the Battle Back?
Allison Grodner: Temptation is the theme of the summer and rest assured there are more temptations to come. The next twist is just around the corner…

Had the Halting Hex been used Thursday night, how would that have affected plans for the upcoming Battle Back?

Grodner: The Battle Back was to be played no matter what happened with the Halting Hex. The difference would be that three people would be fighting for a spot in the house instead of 4.
Now that we’re heading in to the fourth week of events, which Big Brother 19 Houseguest has surprised you the most so far and why?
Grodner: Dominique was playing a really low key strategic game until this week. I am really surprised how fast things spiraled out of control for her.
Okay, my interest is piqued about what’s coming next for the Temptations. I would have been okay with just letting the game play out, but if they’re going to keep this twist going then changing up how it arrives is a good idea. Too often the Houseguests settle in to their routine as do we so keeping everyone on their toes is appealing to me here.
As for what would have happened with the Hex if Jessica had played it last night, well nothing would have changed. In fact it might have only made things easier on Cody’s return for her, but considering she wasn’t really in danger makes that a smart gamble for her to have made.
I’m with Grodner on Dominique. She was in such a good position just over a week ago. Things were smooth for her game. She was laying low, building a strong relationship with a strong player, and gather lots of info. Maybe she should have done that Cody interview in a more private setting! But if she gets back in the game I’m guessing she won’t make that mistake twice.
Find out what happens with the Battle Back tonight on CBS at 8/7c. See you then!
