This is it !  The finale tonight !  John is probably right about Paul winning. If how he played all season doesn't mean anything toward winning then there is no point in anyone trying to win in subsequent seasons.

Who Will Win 'Big Brother 19'?

John Kubicek
Senior Writer, BuddyTV

After 92 days, the finale of Big Brother 19 is here. Paul, Josh and Christmas are the Final 3 and on Wednesday's two-hour live finale, one of them will win the final HoH competition, one will be evicted and one will win half a million dollars. So who will it be?

SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 19 spoilers.

Paul won part 1 of the final HoH.

Josh won part 2 of the final HoH.

Both Paul and Josh have made it clear on the live feeds that, no matter who wins part 3 of the final HoH, they are taking each other to the Final 2. There's a small chance Josh gets emotional and decides to cut Paul at the last minute, but it seems highly unlikely.

How Paul Played BB19 Like Donald Trump>>>

So for the majority of this article, I'm only looking at the possibility of a Paul vs. Josh Final 2, trying to decipher which of them will win.

Why Paul Could Win

There's no denying that Paul has played the best game. Sure he had a ton of advantages because he was the sole returning player, but he controlled everything, made all of the moves and tricked everyone. If emotion is out of the equation, Paul should win in a landslide, maybe even with a unanimous vote. Josh hasn't really done anything besides whatever Paul told him to do. It should be a simple decision.

Why Josh Could Win

However, juries are unpredictable and this one could be very bitter against Paul. Executive producer Allison Grodner called this one of the most emotional juries ever, and it's easy to see why. If there's enough resentment towards Paul, Josh could definitely win.

As I mentioned above, Paul had advantages because of his status as a vet. People trusted him because of what they saw last year, plus he started the game with 8 Friendship Bracelets and three weeks of immunity. If the jury thinks his advantage was too unfair, they may penalize him for it.

Another problem for Paul is his goodbye messages, where he lied to almost everyone and played dumb instead of owning his moves. If the jury feels like he's "counterfeit," as Jason would say, they may not vote for him.

A third problem is Raven and Matt. We saw a brief segment from the jury house where Raven was pushing very hard for Paul to win, with delusional claims like the fact that she was a puppet master. Inside the house, most of these jurors hated Matt and Raven, and if they advocate for Paul too strongly, it may turn off the others and they could vote for Josh just to spite Maven.

No matter what happens, it's clear that this vote has nothing to do with Josh and everything to do with Paul. Either he will win or he will lose. Josh is just the lucky guy who gets to sit next to him. Sure, Josh made a few good decisions, mostly finding a way to bury the hatchet with Mark. In the house Josh regularly got into huge fights with Mark, but Mark left singing Josh's praises. He could definitely be a pro-Josh voice in the jury house.

The Christmas Saga

Ironically, I actually think a lot of the jury respects Christmas and, if Paul or Josh took her to the end, they would probably vote for her to win. Of course the fact that she had her two HoH wins thrown to her and she got dragged to the end are strikes against her, but stranger things have happened.

My Prediction

While a bitter jury would be emotionally satisfying and watching Paul lose the game again, potentially by another 5-4 vote, would put a smile on my face, I don't think it will happen. As much as the jury may hate Paul and resent him, and as much as they may hate Maven, it's hard to imagine that they would actually feel good about voting for Josh since he did almost nothing in the game.

So I'm going to predict that, as was inevitable from the start, Paul will win the game. Honestly, he was the only one who actually bothered to play it.

FINALE FUN FACTS

-If 35-year-old Christmas does get to the Final 2, she would be the fourth-oldest person ever to do so, behind Erika Landin and Mike "Boogie" Malin from All-Stars and season 8 winner Evel Dick Donato. She's already the fourth-oldest woman ever in the Final 3, behind Erika plus season 2's Monica Bailey and season 9's Sheila Kennedy.

-If Josh wins the game, he will become the second non-white HG to win the game, following season 4's Jun Song. If he makes it to the Final 2, he'll be the first non-white person to do it since season 11's Natalie Martinez (no relation   to Josh Martinez) and he would be the first non-white man ever in the Final 2.

Sorry to 'tell' John this, but Hispanics are white.  Rolling Eyes

-If Josh is in the Final 2, this will be the fifth season in a row with a 23-year-old HG in the Final 2, as he would join Cody Calafiore, Liz Nolan, Paul from last year and OTT's Morgan Willett.

-If Paul and Josh are in the Final 2, it will be the second season in a row with a Final 2 made up of a 24-year-old returning player and a 23-year-old newbie, like Nicole and Paul last year.

The Big Brother 19 finale airs Wednesday at 8/7c on CBS.
