Apps available on YouTube
Although I use YouTube mainly for viewing music and history , I took a look at the 'technology' section and saw a bunch of vblogs from experts showing how to download and use a bunch of apps for Amazon Fire Stick users. I won't attempt to list them but one that seemed to incorporate a lot of apps into one accessable app is called aptoide.com
First you have to download the 'installer' app which allows you to download just about anything to your smart TV or I assume your computer, but I just did the TV.
Then following the instructions on the aptoide site I downloaded it and now have a bunch of apps including Kodi which is still a little too complex for me to use after installing it, but there are tutorials on YouTube ....
Anyway, i have more apps to view just about any program, series, movies, TV , news , etc. , etc, than I knew existed.
Whoa Nellie !!! I just discovered that by using an app called FreeFlik I can see movies that are still in the theaters. I don't know how many, couldn't load Black Panther, may have if I had waited long enough, which I did for The Darkest Hour which is now playing on my TV. I think it's still in the theaters, but if not it's certainly current and not on any pay sites. Jeez....what's next in the 21st Century ! I don't see it currently in local theaters but if you have to wait until movies go off theater showing then you can still see them for free shortly thereafter. I'll experiment more and see how far I can 'push the envelope' with all the current movies listed on FreeFlix. i'll try Black Panther again and also the new Jumanji movie. The remote functions work the same too, pause/fast forward/ etc.
Of course some are duplicated from what you have using Amazon Prime, Sling TV, Netflik, etc. but a lot are new and also gives the capability going back years ago to watch old series, etc.
There is another app called dorkboxhd.com that I haven't investigated yet but it looks promising too.

Re: Apps available on YouTube
I was able to download Star Wars:The last Jedi and the new Jumanji movie but didn't take the time to watch them. I watched all of The Darkest Hour and found a couple of undocumented, non-intuitive anomalies but was able to work past them. The trick is to not pause the movie. I did a couple of times and each time I had to figure out how to get back to the movie. I could hear the audio but the screen showed an ad. It was trial and error so I can't outline an exact procedure. There was one other oddity that I can't explain. After restarting after a pause the screen was magnified so that the top of the characters heads were cut off in close ups, and scenes to the right and left were cut off.
I thought it was some sort of video setting and tried to change it in the settings/video menu in the Amazon Prime home page. It didn't make any difference until I looked in the "Accessibility' menu and saw that the screen magnifier was turned on. How it got that way I don't know. It affected all video, not just when viewing movies in aptoide. I reset it to normal and that fixed it.
Will explore more apps within aptoide today.

Re: Apps available on YouTube
Well this is very interesting as I'm about to dump Spectrum. I'll stay tuned for what you find.
