What will this mean ?.....

As merely a powerful and influential member of the viewer class I am too dense to know what all this will result in down the road. Maybe if they wouldn't be so eager to cancel a show that would prevent Netflik with its big $$ to step in and take it over.....

Well, it appears you are not alone.... To me, the article would be a conglomerate of wishful thinking. It appears that TV is on the way to becoming the dinosaur and really, to me, it can't happen fast enough. Yes, it's me, the "couch potato" that said that. I meant it.
No one is listening to what viewers want and don't seem to understand or just don't care that people only pay for cable or internet TV if it gives them something they like and can't get elsewhere. And in the case of Roswell, it's the milk carton "missing in action" You've got fans that are dying to see the rest of the story and what do you do? Put new people into a new story and call it a reboot. If you don't listen, eventually no one is paying attention to you.

Yes, this is exactly it. Being pushed into a demographic that tv stations were not interested in, I think my voice had zero effect on helping Roswell. But today I am satisfied to note that I stand getting very little programming from the major channels...most of mine comes from Netflix, PBS, BBCA.

I watch the 'major' channels, ie, over the air, when they have programs that I am interested in and want to watch the current show 'first run'. Right now and in the past, that would be DWTS, Big Brother, Timeless, The Crossing, Modern Family, The Goldbergs, The Big Bang Theory and some others I don't remember right now. Most of those I can watch on delay on the various 'On Demand' functions that are available on Sling TV.
I could watch all the CBS shows on CBS All Access using the internet, sometimes I do that if the CBS shows are only carried there such as Star Trek Discovery, but otherwise there isn't any advantage to it. I use Netflik more and more, and get most of the cable-only channels through Sling TV. Plus what come through on Amazon Prime, Hulu, HBO and Showtime.
I will have to resubscribe to Starz when the new Outlander season starts, other than that there isn't anything I need to see on Starz. Once in awhile there is something on PBS (almost always a music show) and BBCA that I want to watch but not very often.
