Re: Stargate Universe
Loved the geek guy playing with the floating video cameras in the premiere.
So what do you think... Was the whirling sand an Ancient or a native of the planet?
What was with the shuttle that took off at the end?
Does anyone on the ship have the Ancient gene?
So far this series is pretty self explanatory... I've watched most of the Stargate eps (SG1 & Atlantis) so if you have any questions, I may be able to answer them.

Re: Stargate Universe
Did anyone recognize David Blue as the "boyfriend" of Mark from Ugly Betty. They were a great couple but David Blue's guy was not fashionable enough for Mark to be seen in public with him.

Re: Stargate Universe
11am - 9pm marathon on SciFi today.
I really had trouble getting into the 1st season! Finally gave up on watching it. The jumping into people on earth really confused me.
Can anyone give me a QUICK synopsis of the 1st season ...? I would like to give it a second chance!!!

Re: Stargate Universe
The new season starts tonight 7pm MDT. As far as a synopsis, they are on a Starship going somewhere, and are using the "gates" to jump to various places and have adventures and the ship keeps having problems which they must solve in order to survive, that's one difference from previous Stargates. And of course tonight the brunette babe is bathing naked, we can assume, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] in a pool on some planet....if the previews are to be believed... Re: Stargate Universe
Ooh, this was a good'un. Got the missing girl back and a scientist thrown in for good measure. And nobodies talking about what really happened on that last planet. The promo for next week looks exciting too.

Re: Stargate Universe
Wow, this week's was some freaky episode. We saw what actually happened and we watched a dream-sequence type show interspersed throughout. At the end, true love conquered all...but there will be hell to pay....probably.
Poor Eli.

Re: Stargate Universe
Nuts. Just heard this is being cancelled and it came as a big shock to cast and crew who found out on twitter.

Re: Stargate Universe
I am sad but not surprised! I really had a hard time following the show and if you missed an episode ... even more difficult! It was too dark and depressing. SG1 never took it's self serious ... lots of tongue in check stuff! Plus their was such great chemistry with the characters! Kind of like our favorite show, Roswell!!!

Re: Stargate Universe
Hmm, too bad. While I watch the other Syfy show like Eurika and Warehouse 13 there is no edge to them at all. Every episode ends happily ever after. SGU at least had some possiblity of death or alien conflict not to mention the strife between all the people aboad the ship. Hopefully Being Human or something else can fill the void.

Re: Stargate Universe
I watched quite a few eps but never had much appeal for me. Too much conflict and everyone took themselves too seriously.

I liked the computer whiz boy they grabbed out of his home to "help" them... I will miss Levi.

Re: Stargate Universe
They are back on now with the last 6 (I think) episodes. This one this week was amazing. I think they really have a plan since they got notice of a series ending which is always better than something you have watched and enjoyed ending abruptly.

Re: Stargate Universe
Thanks for the reminder. I did want to see these. Yeah..tired of things ending abruptly.
Re: Stargate Universe
I watched it but slept thru some of it so I will have to re-watch on the computer. Unfortunately I will have to wait till next week ... there is a 7 or 8 day wait for some reason watching this on Syfy!!!
Knowing it is ending they can tie up loose ends with it! Didn't love it but have watched it anyway!
Sure miss the Original SG1!

Re: Stargate Universe
I wasn't sure those were new episodes so didn't make a point of watching, but now I will. It was never "appointment viewing" for me but it had its moments.

Re: Stargate Universe
I wonder if they will try to come up with some new spin on Stargate? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] The Universe one just didn't have the chemistry of the Original SG group. Same with the last couple of seasons of SG1 and SG Atlantis!
Love[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and Christopher Judge!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Stargate Universe
Hmmm...too many sched. conflicts on Mondays so will record it. Watched it rather rarely but seeing the finale of any S-F show can be interesting. The same holds true for Smallville which has its series finale this Friday. I think I may have watched it 2-3 times over the years but Clark Kent finally becomes Superman...
